Does anyone REALLY care about his quest to get out of the public life?

I haven't read every single post...the more I read, the more sickened I became. All I can say is, Princess Dianna must be doing sommer saults in her grave.

For those wondering what exactly he said: The father-of-two wrote: 'I suspected he was referring to my recent loss of virginity, a humiliating episode with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion. 'I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my ass and sent me away. One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub. No doubt someone had seen us.' Has he been reading Jilly Cooper novels?! Yikes, that's TMI.

I have to say, this is the least crazy and most believable thing that’s been released this far.

Man this is just...sad, and so utterly distasteful I won't ever be able to look at this guy with any shred of respect again.
Meghan will forever be tied to this...mess. Pathetic and repulsive.

I am shocked that Meghan allowed this to be released...IMHO, she always has this "holier than thou" attitude...and she refers to Harry reverently as her husband (yes, Meg, we know, you are so fabulous you caught a prince)...now he looks...ICK!

I don’t know, tales about lip gloss and necklaces and baby brain squabbles just don’t really seem like a guy wrote most of this book? Still waiting to hear these leaks are a prank because going out of his way to endanger his kids’ lives and his families and the Invictus Games etc and the rest of the Royal Family is just beyond the pale.

How do men in the UK refer to a chain around their neck? Is it a generational difference in terminology? It would not surprise me to learn Megan had her hand in his biography. She really seems to be the one in charge.

What is the US press making of all this?
I think the overwhelming view of the UK media is this isn’t going well for the Sussexes. The Taliban revelation is just mind-blowingly naive and it really scares me what he has now exposed himself and his family to. The rest of it is all so much nonsense which will largely be old news sometime in the near future but the repercussions of this will be with him for life.

Well, I just finished watching "The View" which is a all woman talk show, leans pretty liberal. All they seemed to focus on was that this was racial somehow and were pretty pro Harry and Megan still. I was shocked but I think they are behind on all the latest book press leaks. I'll be interested what their take is on Monday now that all this other weirdness is out.

She really seems to be the one in charge. This made me sit up too. I have never heard a man refer to any jewellery worn round a male neck as a necklace, it's always a chain or maybe reference is made to the item on the chain, a cross or medallion for example. I thought the use of the word necklace was really weird. A lot of what has been reported as written I can hear in Harry's voice though. Much of what I've seen so far sounds like his words but I bet Meghan was involved a lot. I still can not get over how he has endangered his family by referring to the Taliban, especially now there has been a response.

oh man, I'm seeing reports now that this whole Taliban thing is getting serious. What has he unleashed?
I'm reading the reactions and man oh man. He compared them to 'chess pieces' basically dehumanizing them. This is worrisome.
and now the UK Military is disputing his body count. Which, when I read that I wondered about that too. I mean, how would he know if he was dropping bombs how many he killed? I don't think he was up close and personal and shot up close. How stupid can he be?

From the linked BBC article, Harry in his role as a helicopter pilot would have had a better view than most from his cockpit - seeing individuals up close using sensors and screens. He would also see the impact of his cannon and hellfire missiles - although clarity would be soon obscured by dust - and he would be able to review footage from the cockpit. But it is not always possible to count bodies on the ground or to distinguish between someone injured or killed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-64185176

Please. Stop. Talking. I thought they were adorable, but the more they blather, the more I realize just how weird and self-important they are. “Speaking your truth” (hate that phrase) has crossed over into TMI. I don’t want to know about your deflowering behind a pub. Wouldn’t Diana and the Queen would be so proud at this revelation to the world? (BTW, where was his security? Watching? Gross.) I also don’t want the mental picture of his little “snipped” part with frostbite. What’s next? An app that alerts us to their morning bowel moments? Just shut it already. I've been thinking and rethinking how I feel about this and you hit it on the nose. Enough. You're just not that interesting. I've never been much of a royal follower and this has confirmed it for me - self-important, self-centered bores.

Idk now I see he’s talking about his survival training as a pilot, which is absolutely not allowed in the US. Does the British military screen for drug use? Or geez does US immigration for that matter?
What a life of privilege he’s led to have so many complaints. 😬

He and she have dug one big ass hole for themselves. I agree and really think that it is time that they should be allowed to have their privacy and for the rest of the world to stop giving them press coverage, air time and every other type of commentary that encourages him / them to put out this type of cr*p into the media. He was the second born and his position in the Royal family was decided there and then. He needs some serious psychological help, perhaps as an inpatient - and then needs to get over it and do something constructive with his life.

I do not see how he can come back from this. If they weren't the greatest love story to ever be, I would wonder if Meghan 'helped' him write this, encouraging him to add details in that intentionally make him look crazy. Would help with a divorce later on. But thats just my doped up brain thinking outloud.

I’ve been thinking about this for the past day, and this is what it comes down to for me. For most people/couples, when they have children, their perspectives change. They start to consider how their actions will impact their families/children: many things they may have done and said are reined in as they think about how their kids will be affected by their choices, words, and actions. Having been raised in the public eye and having to endure the after-effects of his parents’ choices and actions appears to have not taught Harry anything about how to protect his own progeny. He and Meghan have gone to the other extreme and aired so much private information and what-should-definitely-be-private dirty laundry that their children will suffer humiliation - CAUSED BY Harry and Meghan, NOT THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY - for decades to come. It will probably impact those children enough that Harry and Meghan will be subject endless public whining by them about their parenting, books about them, and then Netflix (or whatever the streaming video producer of the year is then) videos about how Harry and Meghan scarred them for life in their endless quest to make everything about ”H &M” including personal stuff that most of us don’t like sharing with our physicians, let alone with billions of people around the world. The level of self-absorption by Harry & Meghan as parents of young children is disturbing.

I've said this before, I think if Harry had a different spouse, his life would be different.
Had he married someone, who accepted their part and role in Royal life it would be a whole different outcome and way of life. They would have done outings as a couple and separately, very similar to what William and Kate do. If he married someone who influenced and encouraged his part in Royal life in a positive way, he would have likely have stayed and been a part of the Royal team.
I think Megan thought she would move over there, swoop in and be the next Princess Diana, live a princess life (lunch with girlfriends, shopping, an occasional royal appearance, wear the Royal jewels and gowns, doing whatever she wanted, that she would be worshipped, etc...). Instead she encountered with rules, hierarchy, expectations of duty, and told "no, you can going out to lunch and shopping with your friends". I think she severely disliked being "second" to William and Kate. You walk behind them, stand behind them, they get the prime duties, Kate gets first choice when wearing Royal jewels and tiaras, etc.. Megan did not like that one bit. From what I read, Megan was also very unkind to the staff.
Up until he met Megan, he was an active Royal, had a good relationship with William and Kate.
