I stayed frozen for January and just broke the freeze to buy a new trimmer. Mine is literally from 1998 (Fiskars) and I love it. But lately it's been cutting wonky and CM had the 10 dollars off any 20 dollar or more deal and it expired today...the CM trimmer was 50, which was just a leeetttllee high for me. Making it be 40 was more doable. Still expensive, but when I think how much I use a trimmer, and how long my other one lasted I am okay with it. I am pleased with myself that I did not buy just bits and pieces here and there...it's easy to spend 40 dollars that way! Back into the freezer I go.

I finally broke down and purchased page protectors and glue. My completed layout pile was getting large and I had nothing to attach acrylic pieces with, and it was driving me nuts! Everything arrived today and I finished filing away all of my layouts just now.
The small stack of warm cardstock paper was free with purchase. 😁 Otherwise, no other purchases this month. Yay!

I've made a couple of purchases since I last updated, cardstock back in Feb, where I was very good and only purchased the cardstock I needed. Then at the start of March I bought albums and some other things I most certainly did not need. I've been back in the freezer since, and really need to get back to creating more because I spend far too much time thinking about shopping!

I was away from home for most of March and finishing up donation card projects before I left. Earlier in the month I went through my papers and realized I’m actually running out of some types but I decided to wait a little while to shop. I’m using up some ugly fall scraps/leftovers and I have a nicer collection to play with when I’m done.
The more I look at what I already have the more I realize that I can do a few more projects before I really need to go shopping. I have a long wishlist though!

I’m a little bit shocked that tomorrow is ApriI! How is everyone doing now that we’re a quarter of the way through the year? Is anyone recommitting after a spending spree?

I just ordered all of the goodies in my A Cherry on Top cart. It was my Mother's Day gift from the family, so I am still technically frozen on buying scrappy supplies. My husband, however, is not. 😉

I just splurged on a bunch of new supplies (mostly Doodlebug) but I was proud of myself for using up a lot more stuff from my stash before I went shopping. I was feeling like I was "running out" of supplies a couple of months ago but lo and behold, there was just a bunch of stuff I had gotten used to seeing and not using, so I used some of it up I feel like I'm getting back into a bit of a shopping phase but then plan to hunker down and use the stuff I bought. Definitely think I'm spending less this year and trying to buy strategically.

Definitely think I'm spending less this year and trying to buy strategically same - I'm very conscious of how long it takes me to use a collection or a paper pad or a sticker sheet (roughly forever) and I'm focusing on buying to fill actual needs not just that's pretty

I’m a little bit shocked that tomorrow is ApriI! How is everyone doing now that we’re a quarter of the way through the year? Is anyone recommitting after a spending spree? I went on a mad spending spree with Love Crafts. I had never heard of it and then checked it out and omg the dies! The stamps! The punches! I got a bunch of stuff for my mom which was awesome, some bigger dies and stamps so they are easier for her to see and cut. For me, I was able to score a layering stamp and die set by Altenew for 8 bucks and also a pinkfresh alpha die set for 9.50. So some really really good deals, but also stuff I had been wanting to try. Now I will be back frozen.

This is rather timely that it's been bumped back up as I've been wanting to shop rather desperately, mostly because I haven't been creating as much and it's so fun to imagine all the possibilities with products I don't yet own (you know, instead of the excess of stuff that's already sitting here). None of the NSD sales were good enough to make me cave, but I did let myself buy the new CV collection now that all the pieces I wanted are back in stock.
I definitely need to get back to creating rather than window shopping though!

I’ve been wildly defrosted. Time for me to step back into the freezer…. Just keep discovering new things to try, latest being alcohol inks and distress oxides. I know, im so late to the party but seriously in love with both! Seems I veer from clean, paper heavy cards to wild techniquey cards, be so much easier to settle into one style

so much easier to settle into one style Let me know if you figure out how to just be/do one thing. I don't think it's in my nature! But it would/could be a lot cheaper and take up less space...

it's so fun to imagine all the possibilities with products I don't yet own (you know, instead of the excess of stuff that's already sitting here). Endless potential! and new and shiny! I was telling myself for the last couple of months that I didn't have any patterned paper left, perhaps because I was running low on my favorites (note to self, focus on buying my favorites!) But when I dug into my stash and actually took a good look there were a couple of pads/projects staring me right in the face. And they were lovely papers! I'd just sort of stopped seeing them. Good for you, not falling for mediocre sales over iNSD weekend

I just placed a small order at Paper Person, because according to the L'Oreal company, I'm worth it. 😄
Is that not how company slogans work? Mixing and matching to justify what you want to buy? 😉
Back in the freezer I go!

I rearranged some things in my craft room yesterday. There is nothing like putting your hands on all your stuff to make me realize how much I have. I need to be in the deepest of deep freezers! I'll ignore the pre-order I have at ACOT.
I need to do a purge of papers again.

Found this thread buried on page 4. Like mikklynn , "There is nothing like putting your hands on all your stuff to make me realize how much I have. I need to be in the deepest of deep freezers!" I placed an order with SB.com for almost 100 June 26th, for wedding stuff mostly; so I told myself. (doing favors with 49th and market for my child's very small wedding) I justifed my mini empress with "Wedding!", and also two new die sets. Sigh...I have vowed to be frozen until Christmas. 6 months. I hunted down this thread to commit to that publicly, as well as unsubscribed from all my fun emails. I am going to try committing to Shimelle's BOBW kit again (from my own stash) I had derailed off that when my MIL passed away unexpectely and it just upended so much in our lives and I had let a lot of stuff go to the wayside. I think I shopped during that time period because it was more fun than actually taking the effort to create. I have so much stuff that even though my scraproom looks organized, it is overwhelming. Send your support, I know I will need it, especially when all my stuff looks boring and there are awesome sales.

Send your support, I know I will need it, especially when all my stuff looks boring and there are awesome sales. You can do it! Shopping is definitely a temptation for me when things are not all sunshines and rainbows, and I've been struggling (ie purchasing) of late as my mojo appears to have left the building. I have often had good intentions of playing along with BOBW, but usually just end up lifting random layouts rather than working through a month at a time. I really enjoyed seeing your kits. I'm sorry for your loss.

kmage Shopping during the tough times with my late DH and through the pandemic saved my sanity. I look at it as the price of my therapy. But, thanks for reminding me I need to use up at least some of my stuff before shopping!
