cmpeter - You’re correct and that threw me at first also. Now I’m really glad that I planned on putting tabs in my book. It’s really helping me find things this time. I’m just guessing, but I’m thinking between the size of the book and some of the last minute changes to classes due to supply issues it might have been hard for them to get the schedule settled in a timely fashion.

I penciled the days and times into the ToC and put the page number on my pouch labels. I’m considering tabs; if I use them, I’ll color code by day.
I completed my marker chart, except for the triblends, but I’m pretty sure I’ll just wing those — I’m pretty sure the coloring is all in the homework.
I discovered yesterday I have a duplicate item — is there a known etiquette for that?

I opened my box today. It’s driving me batty that the classes in the book aren’t in the same order as the schedule? Am I mis- remembering or did they use to be in order? I got about half of the homework done today. There are definitely a few classes that I will want to rework…colors and styles that just aren’t my favs. And luckily there are quite a few I’m excited about. You are correct. I'm thinking about clipping the coils and re-sorting it and using rings to hold it together. ETA : Or taking it to get it re-bound Maybe they had to rework the schedule after the book was printed???

Well, I found my missing water-colour paper, it was stuck to the printed card that we colour with Angie Blom. I'm glad I've gone through everything again using the checklist they supplied last week. Grammadee - Is it possible that the Polymer Clay Jar thing refers to the sheet of sprinkle/jelly bean looking things? I don't see how, but that was the only thing that was left over when I checked everything else off using the Kit Supplies list in the book. I'm stumped too! Okay I think I figured it out. I was wrong in an earlier comment I made. The supply listing lists: "Cupcake Polymer Clay Jar", and also "Sprinkle Epoxy Shapes". I think the Sprinkle Epoxy Shapes is the jelly bean-looking sticker sheet - those are epoxy stickers. So the Cupcake Polymer Clay Jar is the literally the little jar of sprinkles for inside the shaker window. In that case, the only thing I'm missing now is the stamp set. I swear I had to read the listing 10 times to figure this out, I'm sure I saw "stickers" on there but nope!

Does anyone feel like sharing the contents of their "extras" bag. Either in a spoiler, or via PM. As far as I can tell there is no info about it online or in the book. It looks like I may be missing one or two (or more) things...and would rather not wait till the 14th (if possible) to confirm. To be clear, I'm not asking about class contents/supplies (that's in the book) but in the EXTRAS bag. Thanks so much!

MichyM - I'm not good with the spoiler/Pm stuff but the list of box contents is online. In the email from Catherine that is dated March 3 (the email is linked in the guides section if you didn't receive it in your email) there is a link that takes you to the page that will have links we need in the future. There is a link there to the box table of contents.
Also, most of the stuff in the drawstring bag is needed for classes or demonstrations. You'll want to sort out what goes with which class.

marg - I think you've got it. I'm not sure how, but I overlooked that reference to the epoxy shapes. Mystery solved!

I didn't receive any bag of anything that wasn't on the list of box contents. Should I have?

Thank you! For whatever reason (I’ve double checked with SCT and in the usual places) I don’t receive event emails, so I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction! I did already sort the class contents in that extras bag into the appropriate class folder, but was just wondering about the rest.

MichyM - I have no idea if this is true or not, but I did read someone saying that if you haven’t subscribed to the Scrapbook and Cards Today newsletter, or if you ever unsubscribed, you will not receive emails from them. Maybe worth a try??

Just got home from dd's where dgs had his home hockey tournament. Found out that dgs and his dad will be here at the farm the weekend of the Cardmaking event.
I knew I wasn't going to be creating everything--or finishing anything, really--while the classes were on, but was looking forward to chilling out and watching the classes as they happened. But the good thing is the sessions are recorded and I can watch them all later.
I have my box of goodies sorted in order of how the classes appear in the book, but I have printed off the labels, so will glue those onto the bags and then re arrange them by time. After that I can tag the book, I guess.
Stopped at a LSS today and picked up some Ranger black archival ink (my Gina K and Momento pads are no longer stamping crisp enough) and a bottle of Art Glitter liquid glue with the ultra fine tip and sealing pin.

The irony in all of this, is that their marketing emails come through just fine. Jen told me just a couple of weeks ago that they use a different company to send their marketing than the do with their event info.

Did you all see there is an update to the Honey Bee homework? It was mentioned in the FB group. SCT has published the update in the TeamPeek link in the email sent on for March 3rd.

Placed orders with LDRS company and Taylored Expression. I especially wanted the ledger stamp from LDRS so I didn't have to draw it. and I plan on using it over and over

Honey Bee Stamps with Kelley Kohout: On the prep work #2: It should read: The “Night Sky Background” should be cut to 3 x 4 1/4 inches. Both the “Forest Background” and “Floral Background” should be cut to 4 x 5 1/4 inches.

Any one have difficulty with the SpellBinders background frame die? I've had to cut them out several times and the tiny holes don't always cut through. I changed my cutting plates, and added a paper shim. It helps, but there are still a few holes at the top of the die that refuse to pop out. I'm hoping the flowers will cover those.

Interesting. I noticed that they had die cutting the flowers and leaves in the home/prework, but those big frames were in the classwork. But I remembered someone here saying that they try to do all the die cutting ahead, so I was ging to come and ask about these very cuts at some point. I guess you answered before I could ask!

MDscrapaholic - I had similar problems with that frame, but then remembered that a had a metal adaptor plate from years ago and that really helped get good cuts. The one I'm really having a problem with is the Gina K detail die. Even with the metal adaptor I'm having problems. I got a couple of cuts that will work, but I really like the looks of those cards and I need to find a way to get a more consistently good cut from that one.

I haven’t cut them out yet but I highly suggest the tip I learned at the pinkfresh event. Put a piece of bubble mailer on your bottom plate, then the paper and die, then add thetop plate and send it through. Your die will cut like butter.

I was holding out on cutting that Spellbinders die. I’m not a fan of the colors she used for that die. But, a good fallout for me to at least test cutting to see what shims, etc I need to add.
