What's the furthest you've travelled to scrapbook or craft store? Either specifically to go there, or while traveling for business or pleasure?
The ones I've been to, were while I was on two separate vacations. One was many years ago, and the other was a few years ago. Both stores are now closed.
Scrapbook store - 300-ish miles Craft store - 425-ish miles

I sought out paper crafting stores when I was in Italy and France. One of the ones I went to in Italy wasn't necessarily a scrapbook store, it had this type of paper: Italian paper and the one in Paris was a legit scrapbook/paper crafting store. I don't remember the name of the one in Paris as it's been almost 10 years since I've been there but it was really cool. When we were in Maui there used to be a scrapbook store in Kahalui but I think it's moved since I've been there.

What a fun question. I just had to Google it…620 miles 😁
My husband’s hometown in MN used to have an awesome scrapbook store downtown. I always had to stop in anytime we were in the area.

2,670 miles. I live in Seattle and on our first trip to Hawaii, I made it a point to find an LSS.
Intentionally, ~300 miles. About 7 years ago three friends and I did something called the Northwest Paperchase. That was a three day weekend of traveling all over Western Washington and down into Oregon to visit all the scrapbook stores in our area (I think we did 21 in total that year). I believe the farthest distance one was 300 miles away.

When we were on our way to Mayo from NC, we stopped by @scrapbookgeneration - it was a few hours out of our way. We also went to Laura Ingalls Wilder's house while we were there.

6,000+ miles round trip by car for a sailboat race for DH. I took a few scrapping supplies and scrapped at a store! Didn't really buy scrapping supplies in Russia, Korea, or Germany. But have scrapped all three of those places.

Intentionally, not very far (at least that I can think of because it would have been a long time ago). Otherwise, I would say 1000+ miles (one way) when we drove to Washington DC for vacation and also visited Gettysburg before we headed back to Iowa--I made sure I had time to stop at a local store in Gettysburg that I had only been able to shop at online a few years prior when working on earlier DC/Gettysburg trips.

This brings back such FUN memories! No way to give actual miles, but in the early 2000's, whenever we traveled, I'd seek out scrapbooking stores.
I have a layout where I made a map of the U.S, with photos of me in front of the stores in each state.
Vermont Montreal (I tried to find one, but either there weren't any, or I visited one and forgot). Delaware Maryland Washington, D.C. (not sure if there was one or not, but I tried! ) Virginia South Carolina Georgia Florida Texas Oklahoma Arizona New Mexico Utah California ( 2 different trips, got to visit several---so fun!) We flew from Michigan into Kalispell, Montana to visit Glacier National Park. Had just left the airport and passed a scrapbook store. DH kindly made a u-turn and I bought some great, area-specific items there.
Wish I would have known about the shop in Paris!

Specifically to go to the store I would say 60 kilometres.
As a result of another trip? Across the country to Toronto. I'm on the west coast of Canada. We were there anyway; a friend was going to go see U2 and invited me. I said yes, provided it was an actual vacation (love her to bits, but she would totally fly out to Toronto, go to a concert, and come home. She has tonnes of points and would just get a cheap place to stay or stay overnight with a friend).

I live in NC and went to two stores when we were in Detroit a few years ago. I had a lot of fun shopping and I think I made a page about scrapbook shopping.

150-ish miles - years ago (2002/3 I think) my bestie and I went to Orlando and visited the various scrapbook stores there - and there were quite a few at that time. We had a blast and I did scrapbook the trip back then also.
Beyond that? everytime we go on vacation, we google scrapbook stores...there haven't been too many LSS's - mostly chains (until fairly recently we didn't have any local to us chains - we now have a HL nearby and Joanns and M's and HL about an hour away) and we would stop.

We had a lovely lady and her husband travel from the UK this past November for the sole purpose of shopping at Scrapbook Generation. She shopped…they flew back to England. It was quite an honor for us!

When I lived in Virginia, I drove 3 hours at least once as a lark, just to go to a stamp/scrapbook store. I drove an hour and a half to meet up with some other scrappers for a shopping expedition.
Now I live in Texas, but have no LSS that is within a feasible driving distance. It’s 75 minutes through horrid traffic.
However, my DD lives in Salt Lake City, so when we have gone to visit her, There is a lovely LSS there called Mom and Me Scrapbooking, or something like that. I’ve shopped there more than the one 75 minutes from me. It’s a 22 hour drive to get there from here, and 1,271 miles. Would I travel that far just for that LSS if I didn’t have family there? Nope. I love the store, but the drive is a bit much.

What a fun question. My friends and I travelled from San Diego, California to Salt Lake City, Utah (750 miles/1207 km) for a Suzy West event at Doodlebug headquarters, and while we were there, we found several terrific stores.
While San Diego doesn't have any brick and mortar scrapbook stores, there are two mobile stores that set up temporary shops at retreats and weekend crops. You can go shop even if you aren't participating in the event. I try to go visit them a couple of times a year. If I'm lucky, they are only about 3 miles/4-5 km away, but sometimes they are 45 miles/67 km. It's totally worth the drive to be able to see things in person.

Intentionally, probably less than 50 miles. I am lucky enough to have a LSS only about 5 miles away, with a very good range for an Australian store.
Unintentionally, 9634 miles (thanks Google!) when I holidayed in New York 10 years ago. It was only a Michaels store, but I still enjoyed it, and had to make a page about it for that holiday album.

2000+ miles. However, outside of a local 50 or so mile radius, I never intentionally traveled to a scrapbook or craft store. However, I would seek them out when traveling to a destination, with the exception of Europe. I have never sought out a paper store in while traveling in Europe, due to the pain and expense of getting it back home. Now, If I traveled to Japan, I may need to take an empty suitcase with me, because I don't know if I could not shop for art materials and office supplies while there.

I traveled 5474 miles from SLC to Tokyo to visit our DD. She couldn't wait to take me to all the stationery and pretty paper stores. That was one of the highlights of our 10 days there.

Intentionally, probably less than 200 km but anytime I travel I keep my eyes out for places to visit.
I am notoriously directionally challenged and pre GPS exDH used to joke that the only time I was good at navigating was if there was a scrapbook store as a destination.

I went to Maine from Virginia and had to check out a scrapbook store in Gray Maine.
Years ago my mom and I flew to Las Vegas from Philadelphia and I went to at least 5 scrapbook stores while we were there.

Thousands of miles. I live on the west coast, but I've been to scrapbooking/stamping stores in Connecticut, and Hawaii in the opposite direction. My friend and I did a East Coast driving tour, and we did map out all the scrapbooking/stamping stores to visit. I think the one in Connecticut was the farthest one. We also timed it with a rubber stamp/paper convention in Massachusetts. And I always use to make my aunt drive me to all the scrapbooking stores on Oahu when I would go visit. LOL! But she was a crafter too, so she didn't mind. I've been to a lot of stationary stores in Japan, not specific scrapbook stores, but they do carry a small selection of scrapbooking items.

From Northern VA where I live to: Rome, Italy - 4,486 miles - don't remember the name of the store but it had paper similar to the Italian paper that jediannie linked Disney World - 857 miles (2004) - back when WDW had a SB store (might have been in Disney Springs) - it was no longer there when we went back in 2016 Sevierville, TN - 480 miles - Scrapbooking Superstore (and clearance center next door) The above were all on vacations, so finding a SB store was incidental to the trip. Intentionally, I've only gone about 34 miles to one near my MIL's house. She and I used to meet there sometimes so we could both look at the stamps. That store has since moved to a larger location, slightly further away and I think I've only been once since they moved.

I try to go to a yarn store on every trip I take and get enough of something either locally spun or custom dyed to make a vacation shawl. I'm from Michigan and the furthest I've gone is Winter Park, FL.

I used to make a point of visiting the scrapbook store Gigi's in Foley, Alabama when I would go to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach a few times a year. From Texas it is 632 miles. She shut down a couple of years ago but she still has weekend crop events in January. I've never attended one but they look like they are well-attended! I liked that I could get pieces that were custom to the area at her shop.

640 miles driving from So Cal to Provo Utah during the early 2000's when there was one on EVERY corner. It was heaven. CKU Provo was the ultimate scrapbook adventure.
ETA: I was in North Carolina for business and went to the Scrap Shack. They had the best NASCAR papers ever! My dad was with me and was laughing at all the paper I bought!
