How far is Foley from Gulf Shores? I'll be down there in April. Not far - about 15-20 minutes but her store has closed Oh no! Well that stinks.

The furthest I've traveled specifically for a LSS (with a boutique stamp store also around the corner) was on the opposite side of the city (~55 miles). I've visited scrapbook stores while vacationing across the country, mostly chains (e.g. Archivers, Memories & More) since they were often located in more populated/accessible areas than independent stores. The furthest LSS was probably across the country in San Francisco/Berkeley (~2,700 miles). Sadly, it appears all the stores I've visited are now closed.

One of my favorite travel activities is finding any kind of crafty store, usually stationery shops or bookstores have some good stuff. I've only ever actually visited 2 LSS type stores locally IRL and that was years ago and since have closed. But I've picked up washi, stickers, notebooks, small tools thru my travels in Monaco, Sweden, France, UK, Hawaii, California, Las Vegas.... I visited Tuesday Morning in Chicago area before I had any in mine. One of my favs was Les Feuillets in Monaco-ville, the shops by Palace. A bookstore in Paris called L'Ecume des Pages in the 6th district. Also really loved Bookbinders in Stockholm. My bucket list is Tokyo/Japan, would go almost solely to shop supplies.

in texas - travel 4+ hours to lss from houston to waxahachie.
when we visit michigan, i drive to ACOT in Saganaw (approx 2 hours). i’ve also driven 2+ hours to shipshewana, indiana to a cool lss in the amish village.
in california, we traveled from san francisco to berkeley to a cool lss that is no longer in business.
in new york city, i visited the ink pad, that great stamp store that closed last year.
i always manage to find a lss when we travel. it’s a vital part of the itinerary.
