I don't follow any celebrities. The closest to influencers would be popular cardmakers or quilters. I used to be influenced to try new scrapbooking products or tools because of videos.
I did find my favorite Bundt cake pan (Williams Sonoma) from a Martha Stewart episode when she had her daytime show.

I bought a tennis skirt in every color I could find it after I saw a professional tennis player wearing it and I loved it.

The peas are far better enablers!! Yes. Totally agree. I agree! And since I’m making gumbo in my instant pot, I’ll add elaineI’ve worn superga for years because they fit my feet better than vans or converse. They also have good colors. My hokas are doctor recommended due to an injury, and I can’t wait to heal. I am starting to hate them!

Not yet, but I want the Manduka yoga mat Adrienne uses. I want the extra padded pro and the extra length. I do yoga every day so I think I’ve earned a $160 yoga mat. I hope I like it!

I don’t think so other than craft celebrities. I did buy many things because of Heidi Swapp, Lisa Bearnson and Ali Edwards. I have bought many things due to the Peas . The sneakers are cute but look like a nicer version of keds and I can’t wear those. I don’t pay attention to most celebrities though and I don’t think I am their target audience any ways.

I bought a Smythe blazer because I saw one on Kate Middleton.
Not a fan of the royals, but her style resonates with me.
Years ago I bought a Michele watch because Jennifer Aniston had one.

I've bought a lot of stuff because of the peas.
Not a celeb or influencer, but I bought my first kindle back in 2010 because of a card-maker I follow.

Connie Britton definitely influences me. I bought some expensive cowboy boots several years ago when FNL was originally airing on tv because Tami Taylor would wear cowboy boots with dresses to work. I spent hours finding the perfect pair. I still wear them 15+ years later. She wore great pajamas on White Lotus and i needed some similar.
I love her.

I would say most of my stamps & dies are purchased because of something Jennifer McGuire created in a video. That woman could sell ice to Eskimos. So much this! I have bought things because I saw YT cardmakers use them and they were beautiful. I think that's different from someone hawking a cleaning product or makeup - if I see the stamp design (assuming it's from a reputable company), then I'll get what I see JMcG using. That said, I've bought things because of the Peas - most recently, Tarte lip gloss which is pretty wonderful, as recommended!

Bought my Hoka's because of another influencer..LOVE them. so I'm even as far as that goes. would love to know more about the 2peas 100 day dress mentioned earlier here... Wool& sponsors a 100 day dress challenge. Basically you buy one of their dresses and wear the dress 100 days in a row for at least 8 hours a day. You take a daily picture and then you either post them to Instagram or you send them to them. They give you a $100 voucher to be used on their website. I did this challenge back in fall of 2021 ending on Christmas day. There are numerous reasons to do the challenge but for me it was mainly about learning to live with a minimalist wardrobe and learning about ethically made and sustainable clothing. I still wear my dress and I have several other dresses from them that I rotate. They have become my favorite thing to wear. With leggings in winter/tights fall and spring. I also have several sleeveless summer dresses that I wear too. It has changed the way I shop for clothing and it is causing me to really pause before I bring anything new into my wardrobe.

Kind of the opposite...I've stopped buying so many different cleaning products because I follow a lady who is great at promoting and explaining natural cleaning methods with vinegar, lemons, bicarb etc.

I’m often inspired by a celebrity’s look and style, and I’ll attempt to recreate it with clothes of my own or more affordable dupes. But I can’t think of anything I’ve bought that was identical to something a celebrity wore.
I do watch a lot of tennis, and sometimes I’ll go searching for a skirt or pair of sneakers that a pro is wearing. Luckily, online tennis wear retailers will have sections where they show you exactly what the pros are wearing currently.

I don’t follow a lot of celebrities but I do follow a lot of influencers. They do influence me. Lol. The ones I follow seem like normal people but either have a sense of style that I like, or a certain level of expertise in an area like makeup, skin care, cleaning, or finding products that work for those problem areas we have. I’m also easily influenced here. I can’t think of a recent item but I know there are many.

If a celebrity endorses something that is the main reason why I won't buy it. I don't need to line their pockets with even more money while so many in this country don't have enough.

Bailey Sarian (a makeup Youtuber) had her own eyeshadow palette sold through the cosmetic company Estate. I bought it. It is really good, actually. No regrets.

Nothing. I dont follow celebrities and I think the concept of "influencer" as a career is silly. An influencer is no different than the commercials you see on TV - the one that I follow has deals with companies, she only makes deals with companies that align with her beliefs (she turned down a multi-thousand deal because the company/product weren't in line with her). She uses their products and gives fairly accurate reviews. She will also shout out companies that don't have a deal with her if she loves their stuff. I don't see her as any different than a commercial on tv. I have purchased a few things because of her. Knix bras - LOVE them, Knix leggings - still unsure, they fit amazing, but have a bit of sheen to them and I'm not 100% on board with the shiney lol. And then a retinol cream which I also love, but it is pricey, so I may not buy more.

I follow a plus size fashion blogger and have bought a few pieces she has featured. I’ve purchased lots of stamping supplies because of YouTubers.

I got Superga sneakers because Catherine, Princess of Wales had them on in a magazine I was reading and I loved them. And they were reasonably priced! I still wear them almost every week. I've worn Superga shoes for years. Didn't realize they were a celeb/influencer thing! They are comfortable for sure. My fleece-lined pair for winter and the best!

I don't think I have ever ordered anything because of a celebrity. I have ordered some items to make stencils for decorating cookies after watching a Youtube demo video, so I guess I have ordered because of a Youtuber.

Nothing. I dont follow celebrities and I think the concept of "influencer" as a career is silly. yeah, wait to you see their paychecks. DD's bff is huge. It boggles my mind the amount of money she makes. She's chartering private jets, bought homes for family and retired her dad. She's also godmother to my two grandsons. Their college funds are set.

I'm happily influenced from everything around me. TikTok, YT, celebs, the Peas. I don't have time or care to browse, shop all from scratch without inspo or a recommendation. I wouldn't even know where to start. I mean, I like going into a shop like Zara and pull together and outfit but I'm sure in the back of my head something or someone somewhere influenced my decisions. I'm good with that. I'll do my research before I buy something spendy, and carefully consider if EYE will actually get use out of something. Like the Creami machine. I considered it because everyone here was ordering it. Glad I didn't get it because honestly I'd much rather go out and buy one at my local smoothie shop and get a different flavor fresh every time so it would have gathered dust in my house. I can't think of anything specific I've bought that a celeb endorsed right now other than makeup that Tati endorsed but I'm sure there probably is something. Great topic, OP!

I would say most of my stamps & dies are purchased because of something Jennifer McGuire created in a video. That woman could sell ice to Eskimos. Me too! I have a certain type of wax paper but never got around to doing whatever project. Now whenever I reach for my aluminum foil I always think “I should figure out what this is for!” 😂

You can arrange your die cuts how you want them on a card, then lay the Press & Seal over it to pick it all up at once, put glue on the back and adhere it to the card. Guess how I know!
