The Florida legislature writer of the 'don't say gay' bill is facing up to 35 years in prison for Covid funding fraud plus... And he pled quilty!! Florida GOP lawmaker who wrote ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill facing up to 35 years after pleading guilty in COVID fraud caseDavid Badash, The New Civil Rights Movement March 21, 2023 Florida GOP lawmaker who wrote ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill facing up to 35 years after pleading guilty in COVID fraud case Joe Harding, the now-former Florida Republican lawmaker who authored the extremist “Don’t Say Gay” bill could face up to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty Tuesday afternoon to federal felony fraud charges in a scheme to obtain $150,000 in COVID-19 relief funds, according to Florida Politics‘ publisher Peter Scorsch. Harding, 35, was a construction project manager who started his own lawn care company. He quickly became a right-wing darling after his anti-LGBTQ legislation, officially the Parental Rights in Education Act, was embraced by Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, who signed it into law. Harding was charged in a December federal indictment with six counts of wire fraud, money laundering, and making false statements in his plot to obtain $150,000 in COVID funds. He resigned from the legislature the following day. He originally pled not guilty. After Harding was charged and resigned, Nadine Smith, the executive director of Equality Florida, responded via social media, saying: “So much harm to students, parents and teachers because of his raw political ambitions. He slandered entire communities and trafficked in lie after lie that has emboldened violent bigotry. He will have his day in court but his legacy is already a despicable one.” Harding is not the only family member accused of criminal acts. “Harding’s indictment follows a September guilty plea from his brother-in-law, Patrick Walsh,” Florida Politics reported in December. “As reported by Fresh Take Florida, Walsh pleaded guilty to wire fraud and money laundering charges connected to his receipt of nearly $8 million in disaster relief loans.” Unrepentant to the harm many feel he has done to children and the LGBTQ community, in a statement Tuesday Harding said: “During the past legislative session I have felt the support of millions of Americans while fighting for our shared concerns and for the rights of parents. I will never forget the support I received from every corner of this great country.” www.rawstory.com/florida-gop-lawmaker-who-wrote-dont-say-gay-bill-facing-up-to-35-years-after-pleading-guilty-in-fraud-case/

At the same time the girls are required to discuss their periods with school administrators and provide their cycle schedules, frequency or lack there of, etc !!!!

How are girls talking about their period aka that time of the month “woke”? In a world that only makes white conservative dudes comfortable, we must cover our bodies so they can't be provoked, defer to them in all matters because we aren't allowed to have free thoughts, and never say anything that might make them squeamish. Books like "Go With The Flow" that normalize menstruation and the feelings that come with that are absolutely "woke" because it lets girls know they don't have to hide or be embarrassed, especially not by something that damn near 50% of the population goes through.

So what is the difference in Soros handing out his millions to support who they choose vs Koch bros and group openly supporting their choices? Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's ties to billionaire George Soros are not as close as Republicans claimPUBLISHED WED, MAR 22 2023 11:50 AM EDT UPDATED 55 MIN AGO Brian Schwartz @schwartzbcnbc WATCH LIVE KEY POINTS *Key Republicans aim to discredit Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's expected indictment of former President Donald Trump by accusing him of being controlled by billionaire Democratic donor George Soros. *An advisor for Soros, who is a longtime target for Republicans, told CNBC that Soros "has never met or spoken to Alvin Bragg." *The criticism appears to stem from donations Soros and a nonprofit funded by him made to the national racial justice group Color of Change, which backed Bragg's DA campaign and later pressured him on a prosecution unrelated to Trump. www.cnbc.com/2023/03/22/trump-indictment-alvin-bragg-ties-to-george-soros-examined.html

Koch bros... Koch family's influence wanes despite heavy investment into sinking TrumpTravis Gettys March 22, 2023 Americans for Prosperity are pledging $75 million to "turn the page" on Trump in the 2024 Republican primary, sources told Semafor, but some former staffers and allies inside the Koch network say the political machine that once rivaled the RNC no longer has much relevance within the conservative movement. www.rawstory.com/koch-brothers-network/

It seems trump lost again in one of his court cases..
&
trump has so many court cases I’m not sure which one this is for but I’m thinking it’s the one involving Jack Smith and the classified documents.
It was the Special Counsel investigation.

Update: school shooting in Denver Wednesday morning. Student shooter is deceased. DENVER (Reuters) -The student who was accused of shooting and wounding two faculty members at his Denver high school has been found dead near his vehicle in Park County. The Park County Coroners Office confirmed in a Facebook post that the body belonged to 17-year-old Austin Lyle, who shot faculty members as they were patting him down for weapons as part of a "safety plan" devised for the youth based on previous behavioral issues. nordot.app/1011355921891344384

The response says it all.. This was my hugest issue with jury duty when I did it 30 years ago, they required us to stand up in court and state our name & home address when we got seated in the jury box for voir dire. I recall very clearly thanking the universe that I still had an RD # at that time meaning it would be harder to find my house if you weren’t a mail carrier, and at the same time being freaked out because I’d be home alone in the middle of nowhere and a supposed criminal had my address. I was sort of itching to see if the process was still the same when I was called a few weeks ago but jury duty was cancelled. I’ve watched too many crime dramas to state my address publicly in court like that. There has to be a better way to keep juries safe

Utah parent requests another book ban!! thankyouverymuch!! Responding to a new law allowing for "pornographic" books to be removed from school libraries, a Utah parent has moved to have "one of the most sex-ridden books around" removed as well, namely, the Bible. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the parent, who remains unidentified for privacy reasons, submitted their challenge on Dec. 11 along with an eight-page list of passages from the Bible that they found to be offensive and worth reviewing.“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide,” the parent wrote in their request. “You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”“Get this PORN out of our schools,” the parent wrote. “If the books that have been banned so far are any indication for way lesser offenses, this should be a slam dunk.” The parent's move was in response to the conservative group Utah Parents United, which has challenge books in state schools for being inappropriate -- primarily focusing on books dealing with racial and LGBTQ subject matter. "Based on the new Utah law, something is indecent if it includes explicit sexual arousal, stimulation, masturbation, intercourse, sodomy or fondling," The Tribune's report stated. "According to state attorneys, material doesn’t have to be 'taken as a whole' in those situations or left on the shelf during a review. If there is a scene involving any of those acts, it should be immediately removed." In their request, the parent goes on to say: “I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient. Now we can all ban books and you don’t even need to read them or be accurate about it. Heck, you don’t even need to see the book!” Utah Parents United responded, telling The Tribune: “We believe in following the law. That’s all we’re asking schools to do.” Rep. Ken Ivory (R-West Jordan), the chief sponsor of the bill, called the parent's request another example of “antics that drain school resources.”“There was a purpose to the bill and this kind of stuff, it’s very unfortunate,” he said. “There are any number of studies that directly link sexualization and hyper-sexualization with sexual exploitation and abuse. Certainly, those are things we don’t want in schools.” “For people to minimize that and to make a mockery of it is very sad,” Ivory added. www.rawstory.com/gop-lawmaker-very-sad-utah-parent-used-his-law-to-request-sex-ridden-bible-be-removed-from-school/

People in glass houses better put the stones down, not throw them!! A Kentucky congressman is facing calls for an inquiry over comments he made in a New York Times interview suggesting he may have been involved in a law firm’s leaked emails during his 2015 gubernatorial bid, The Louisville Courier Journal reports. James Comer, a Republican who chairs the House Oversight Committee, implied in the interview that he was behind leaked emails that were used in a Lexington Herald-Leader article “showing an attorney married to a rival candidate's running mate had been in contract with a blogger who was making allegations that Comer had abused a former girlfriend,” the Courier Journal reports. The Congressional Integrity Project in a letter to Fayette County Commonwealth Attorney Kimberly Baird earlier this week asked that Comer's involvement in unlawfully obtaining stolen emails from the law firm’s server be investigated. "No one should be above the law, and information revealed yesterday in an article published in the New York Times provides strong reason to believe that Representative Comer committed at least one, and perhaps multiple, felony offenses during his failed attempt to secure the Republican nomination for governor in 2015," the group’s executive director Kyle Herrig said in the letter, according to the report. According to The New York Times report, "Comer confirmed, for the first time, that he had been behind the leak and strongly hinted he had gotten them from the server." I’ve had two servers in my lifetime,” Comer said in the interview. Hunter Biden’s is one, and you can — I’m not going to say who the other one was, but you can use your imagination,” Comer said, according to the report. He noted that the emails "ended up in my lap ... I’ll put it like that.” www.rawstory.com/james-comers-remarks-in-2015-email-leak-prompt-calls-for-probe-report/
