.....and Ron DeSantis couldn't tell Piers Morgan where he was on 9/11.. OH, something about college... Looked it up on Wikipedia.. he should have be able to remember.. DeSantis graduated from Yale in 2001 with a B.A. magna cum laude.[28]

This made me laugh; it’s from a WaPo article on Jordan demanding that Bragg turn documents over to his committee.

The Jan. 6 committee later voted to refer Jordan and other GOP lawmakers who had also defied its subpoenas to the House Ethics Committee.
Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee have also pushed back on Jordan’s letter to Bragg, which they did not sign.
“Jim Jordan is out of control,” Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) wrote in a Twitter post Thursday. “He’s trying to put his thumb on the scale for his friend Donald Trump by injecting MAGA politics into an ongoing criminal investigation. In one of his last acts as president, Trump awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian award — to Jordan in January 2021. If they caved to it, we'd be living in a wild-west-style madhouse of a country. What may be of concern is pockets of his moronic followers fomenting violence at their various state capitols and the like; I assume that the FBI or other powers-that-be have warned of this possibility, if they're encountering chatter along those lines. I also hope they won't announce when it's going to happen (if an indictment does get handed down). The press doesn't need to know, even though they want to, and the safety of the Grand Jury members matters. I also think they should do it on a Tuesday or otherwise early in the week, and late in the day. They spent tens of thousands of dollars on this crazy event. Money taken away from actual education. Money away from students. Tons of money on extra lawyers. It’s been nothing but a }#^# show since the last election with no hope in sight. ETA: there is a very loud Republican group in the area and most of these school board members are members of the same church. Very outspoken against the LGBTQ. I am glad my son has graduated but feel for the thousands of students. There have been a few peaceful walkouts by students. I have only watched part of a few of the school board meetings and they have been wild. I didn’t watch this one. ETA 2. Temecula is a city of 113K the school district is only this city. All of the cities around us has a separate school district. |

They have made inroads against proper education in NJ already. They are doing it district by district all over the country.
We, in NJ, have it a shade easier. It will take them longer here. Most of our school districts are single towns, like 522 separate school districts.

Apparently trump didn’t know about this..
I googled attorney client privilege exceptions. So apparently when the courts have told trump’s attorneys they have to testify it’s because they felt trump has potentially committed a crime or fraudulent act and the attorneys know about it.
“The crime-fraud exception applies if:
the client was in the process of committing or intended to commit a crime or fraudulent act, and
the client communicated with the lawyer with intent to further the crime or fraud, or to cover it up.”
And note the bit about “high status in life”. So in other words he’s talking about the privileged and not just some smuck.
