This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . If you are doing the Team Challenges, this challenge is worth one point for each page/project when you complete all 4. So that's 4 points for completing the Pokey Pea Challenge.

I almost forgot to start a new thread for March. I was working hard to finish the last of 28-4-28. This was a fun challenge month. justjac, congrats on the part of Mrs. White. Will you still need to do the stage managing too? I hope it goes well in rehearsals. I know you will do a great job. Glad you got some time off from school. grammadee, I look forward to the online crop tomorrow. I have lots of things to do. I did finish the 28-4-28, but I'm not very happy with my last page. kitbop, you will love Disney World. It helps to do the homework before leaving home. My grands loved Animal Kingdom so much that they begged to go back the next day. I know you will have a great time together. I'm off to bed.

kellyr21, thanks for the heads up. I am very surprised that one of my layouts would pop up after several years. They must have a random way of picking some of those. Have you done more sketches? I'd love to see anything you do. Hope you are doing well.

God morning, Pokeys. Happy March! I hope to see some of you on line in a bit. My goal is to finish off 28-4-28 today. Congrats for getting it all done in February, nylene and @homeschooolmum. And congrats, nylene on being featured over on SB.com I had pressed pause on my extricating pages for copying for the dgds' albums because I had run out of Iris tubs. I ordered some form Michaels and had not expected them to arrive until Friday. But since they arrived yesterday and I was in town I was able to pick them up. So this afternoon I should be able to get back to that project. kitbop you are so busy planning WDW activities. You need to start planning how you will scrap it when you get back! Saw this stamp set on SB.com this morning... I think you need it...

Good Thursday morning, Pokeys. How are you doing? Hope that March has not come in like a lion for you...
I think I have a 28-4-28 hangover. Have the whole morning to myself, and all I could manage was to complete a LO I started yesterday during the crop. And I can't share that until next week, as it is the sample for Sketchy Saturday on the 11th.
Heading into the bedroom where I can spread things out on the bed and continue the extrication of pages from my albums. The tubs arrived Tuesday, so no more excuses...

I can't seem to get out of the quote box, but just wanted to say grammadee, I have the same hangover! We started with snow all day yesterday but it's looking less likely today.

Happy Thursday! Waving hi to you all. Had a nice long walk today and the weather was just wonderful. We had lots of rain and wind over the last few days but today is was slightly warm and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. I hope to continue working on a mini album I started last year. I will share whenever I finish it. I miss playing with paper and it will feel good to do it today. Here is a rose I drew in my sketch art class. I like how it turned out. We have classes every Tuesday and Thursday and I do enjoy it. The instructor is a former HS teacher and does a good job walking us through the drawings. Rose Drawing by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

Great job on the rose, kellyr21. I can tell you are enjoying that class. That's great that a former HS teacher is your instructor. I'm sure you will learn lots. Your layout is beautiful. I love the black background with the bright strips and flowers. You have love in the gallery.

nylene - how awesome that another of your layouts was featured! Thanks kellyr21 for pointing it out. grammadee - how is the extricating project going? I feel like the really hard part will be putting them all back in the right places. kellyr21 - I love your rose sketch - so pretty. And you did a layout! I love it - beautiful photo, great colours and that dark background is perfect! Mammogram today - and they just called to move my appt earlier - apparently the online scheduler and the phone scheduler don't 'talk' to each other and overbook. I haven't scrapped since the Wed crop either - I've been doing some genealogy data entry.

grammadee - how is the extricating project going? I feel like the really hard part will be putting them all back in the right places. ha ha! You got me! Last project for two kids took about three years! LOL. I did my dgs's, and his pages were still not put back into the books when I (thnkfully) had help from his cousin's sisters putting his pages either into the books or into the piles of pages for her. It was several months after HER grad that the album pages were replaced. And during that time they were in towers piled around the edge of the bedroom... To answer your question, I will hopefully finish pulling pages today, then drop them all off at the printer on Monday. And this time the albums are being replaced on the shelves with stickies in them to indicate missing pages. The pages always come back to me in the labeled tubs they left here in, so I should be able to pull just those albums I need for each tub, replace the pages and return the albums to the shelf.

Good Saturday morning, Pokeys. I am off to dd's until tomorrow evening. Dgs has a local hockey tournament and he wants me to watch a couple of games.
Had thought I might spend a little time playing this morning, but before dh left for his hardware store tour of a couple of towns, he asked me to set up an auto debit system for one of our monthly payments. Wouldn't you know it: today would be the day the bank decided to force everyone to update their sign-in procedures to beef up security !@*?! Between the bank's and my browser's auto fills, I managed to get myself locked out of the system and had to call for assistance. So good to know that while probably any ten year old could navigate the system, people less internet aware are safely locked out of their own accounts. Could have driven to town and back to visit the bank on a weekday in less time than it took to do this little bit of banking on line.
On a happy note, I received my box of supplies for SCT Crop & Create card making event. Lots of fun stuff in there! Expect some bright flowery cards for your next birthdays!

Happy March pokeys! Why is the time flying so fast?
I still need to post the couple of pages I finished in February. I had a third but decided I didn't like the journaling, then a better title came to me, so now it's a work in progress again lol. I wasn't really that crazy about the page, so I'm happy to rework it.
I need to get groceries for a sleepover with Rudy tonight. I have no idea what the plan is for this evening, and then he'll be here tomorrow during practice and we'll have our lunch date. The weather is going to be pretty all weekend so I'm sure getting outside with be on the list.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

This has been quite the weekend for me. My husband finally understands that I have filed for divorce. It has been non-stop since he understood that I filed and asked me to give him another chance. I have said no. I have given him so many chances in the last 7 years and now that I have made a final decision, he wants to do something about it. He tells me he just plans to move back home. I have an appointment tomorrow with the lawyer and will share this to see what will happen. I am thankful that he is calm about this and even told me he doesn't want anything that is considered marital property. He said I paid for it. Which is so true! I hope this continues and we can work things out with the divorce calmly. kellyr21, I love your rose sketch! I have been trying to increase my drawing skills and have joined Urban Sketchers in my area. My elementary art teacher is in it. It has been fun getting to know these ladies and connecting with her again. I am at the coffee shop to relax a little. Then I need to start doing prep for the work week like laundry and meal prep. I am busy most of the day tomorrow with appointments and meetings. I get to meet up with the Urban Sketchers for a bit which will be fun.

(((Hugs))) and prayers knutschenI hope all the pokey-peas had a great weekend. I'm worn out - we went to the city today for DD's Girl Scout meeting and also to run errands - left early so we could take her to REI for hiking boots...they didn't have what she needed in stock but we've ordered a pair- hopefully they'll fit. And afterward we took her to Target for new jeans and shorts. And then the interstate was blocked just before our exit for a lifeflight - praying that the person will be ok. But a long day...

Hey Pokeys. I am home from the hockey tournament. Watched two of his three games. Got some fun photos. Don't know how much crafting I will be doing this week. Have some housework to catch up on tomorrow; then Tuesday I have a couple of appointments and a trip to the printers. Hoping to hop onto cycworker's on line crop on Wednesday.

Hey everyone. grammadee I'm looking forward to seeing all the goodies you got in your box! Hugs to you knutschen. joyfulnana I hope you had a fun visit with Rudy. Linda that does sound like a long day. My weekend was full but not too taxing. I did a Google Meet with my mom and sister while knitting. I'm over half done my border! I did some colouring for some Easter cards that I may or may not finish. I spent a couple hours working on organizing and cleaning my scraproom. We did supper with Dean's family Saturday. I had play practice Sunday night and again tonight. I'm going to have to get in better shape. I have to help move two bodies and fall to the floor and get back up. nylene I'm not the stage manager anymore but we don't have a replacement yet. kellyr21 lovely drawing.

grammadee - my LSS got this paper into stock: Hockey paper Wild Whisper. I was excited, and then realized the designs were pretty boring...and then I saw that the pps are over $2 each (2.50 if you buy them individually). That's ridiculous! I'm kinda glad they didn't appeal to m Did you have a good visit with Rudy joyfulnana? knutschen - glad you are getting somewhere! I was thinking this week that I had taken ZERO "winter" photos this year. Then we got a foot of snow on Friday night. So Saturday, we played for an hour and made a small snow fort in the backyard. It's still fun to play in the snow when it isn't too cold and the kids aren't little to make you stay outside for hours Last night, we got together with friends we haven't seen since 2019! It was really easy and comfortable to reconnect - nice to know that friendships that were paused during covid can come back to life! Then today, I woke up with a killer neck/headache, and tried to get ready for work but ended up calling in sick and going back to bed to sleep it off. I woke up at 10...with the same headache...so I'm not feeling guilty that I stayed home. It's starting to lift now, yay!

Whew happy Tuesday! Busy weekend with Bub, lots of outdoor time lol. It was beautiful weather for it. I really feel like we are in a weather bubble of some kind here. There is so much extreme weather all around the country and we are having our usual wild swings of beautiful spring weather and cold, rainy, winter days. But nothing extreme and I'm also grateful for that. How are you doing in CA kellyr21, and gramma? I think the heavy snow is North you both? It's just crazy and I hope that snow is enough to end the drought! kitbop you have mentioned to me several times that I need to see "The Adam Project" with Rudy. I have not done that, but Rudy finally brought that movie up to Cody and they watched it together LOL! And Cody and I watched last night, omg that movie is sooooo soooo good and so cute! And nothing like I expected! I should have listened to you months ago lol. The two of them had literally just finished a few hours before Rudy came over Saturday so he wasn't interested in seeing it again already. I got to get work, I hope you are having a wonderful start to the week!

joyfulnana , it sounds like you had fun with Rudy over the weekend. How nice that the weather cooperated. We are so tired of snow here. It snowed all day Sun and Mon and we already had snow on the ground. What is the Adam Project about? We need to see a good movie! knutschen , I am so sorry you are navigating the divorce track. I have a niece going through it right now and can see how difficult it can be. Hugs to you. You are a bright, strong person and will get through it. I'd love to see any of your sketches! kitbop , I can't believe $2+ paper. Wow. You don't usually pay that much in Canada, do you? How are the Disney plans going? Will it be around spring break or into the summer? I am excited for all of you. You've had a tough year and need some relaxing time. grammadee , I don't think you ever relax. You are the Engergizer Bunny, and just keep going and going.... I won't be able to hop on the crop tomorrow with cycworker . DH will be getting most of his stitches out in the morning. Did you get all the graduation pages copied? You are a fabulous gramma! What a precious gift. justjac , I wish we could all see your play. I'm sure you will be your sparkling self and everyone will love you. There is no way I could fall to the floor and get up while people are watching! I have worried so much navigating in all our snow. If I fall I need the earth to just open up and drop me in. kellyr21 , I love your layout. I always love the way you distress the edges of your papers. Great photo of you, too. Has it stopped raining in your area? gramma , how are you and Ken doing? Have you started your new home? I'm missing seeing you online. I just got a new ipad today. Since my DSIL works for Apple, he was able to get a discount. He did all the bookwork and it arrived today. Em is going to help me download my backup from the cloud since my old one won't even turn on now. I spent the weekend making Sympathy cards. A dear 50-year friend passed away. She has been the best neighbor. She had 10 children, 1 of whom drowned years ago. Between DH and me, we have taught every one of those children in 4-H, Cubs, Explorer Scouts or church classes. I was trying to decide which ones I really wanted to give a sympathy card and DH said we need one for each. So I began cutting, cutting, cutting and made enough to have a stack for the next time I need one. Lately so many of the neighbors who were here when we moved in 50 years ago, or shortly after, are passing away. How I hate to lose these great friends. They all made us so welcome when we bought this land in the middle of an orchard. Over the years the orchards have given way to homes and cul-de-sacs, but the friends have remained but get older and older, like us. Have a great rest of the week, everyone. I hope you all have good weather!

Happy Tuesday! Waving hi to you gals. Thank you for all the cheers and comments you all let on my scrapbook page. I was so happy to be able to scrap. We got my extra 6ft table up so I have some space to create. It does take up lots of room but I will keep it up until it bothers me. I am working on floral painting now. I started watching and doing painting tutorials on YT with one of my favorite flower artist. I did one yesterday and doing another today. I really want to learn her roses. I did take a few of her lessons and few years ago and made some beautiful bouquets. So trying to refresh my skills. I will share my practice pictures. Are you all going to Scrapbook dot com virtual this Friday and Saturday? I plan to catch some of the fun. joyfulnana nylene - Our weather has been light and today was sunny. I heard more rain is coming but so far it has been mild here. We did have hail recently and I was shocked! I haven't seen hail in years. I had to go and touch it, too. LOL! justjac - Wow, what a role you have! When is the play? I am cheering for you. knutschen- I love drawing and so cool to hear you are in an art group. I wonder if we have the group here? linda - How are ya doing with your leg therapy? grammadee - How is the scrapbook "hangover?" Yeah, you girls were scrapping up a storm. Beautiful work, too.

Good Tuesday evening, Pokeys. kellyr21, I think my hangover is still hanging around. And now that I haven't scrapped for a week, there is the added drag of over thinking when I start my first project. Thought I had a perfect plan for tomorrow, but now I can't find the photo I am sure I own. It is from several years ago, and not taken by me, so no way to search it on my computer or camera card. Also I need to get on the phone mid morning tomorrow to register for the May LSS crop that justjac and I and friends are planning to attend, so that will distract me as well. I hope all goes well with your dh's appointments tomorrow, nylene. I had my eyes checked today and don't need glasses for another year. Also I was happy they decided that the retina photographs they took last year were so clear that I didn't need the drops and having the blinding light in my eyes this year, so I could drive right after my appointment and got the rest of my day's errands done much more quickly. As for the girls' scrapbooks, I picked up 4 years of copies today. But dropped off 14 years' worth! How cool that you and your family went out to play in the snow, kitbop! What fun! I would love winter alot more if the temps stayed closer to snowball weather and the roads stayed clear and dry. I have that Wild Whisper hockey line, and have used some of the sheets, but the colours are a bit dull. Picked up some much brighter stuff this spring; I think it is Scrapbook Customs. Sounds like you had some good family time this past weekend, joyfulnana. What is that movie about? (the Adam Project). Maybe its something I can watch with my dgs.

Maybe its something I can watch with my dgs. Yes - it's family friendly and good for boys in the 8-14 market. It's Ryan Reynolds coming back from the future to save the world, but running into/needing his younger self to help - and the kid who plays his younger doppleganger is great. Of course, they also have to save Ryan Reynolds wife, and change his life/relationship with his mother, while killing off the (holographic) soldiers from the future coming to get him!

grammadee - welcome home! What time is cycworker's crop today? I haven't seen a post yet. justjac - falling to the floor sounds MUCH easier than getting back up again - good luck kitbop - $2.50 for a sheet of paper? Yikes! Hope you're feeling better today joyfulnana -I'll have to mention taht movie to the kids - sounds like something they might like nylene - so much snow - yes, do be very careful! Hope all goes well for your DH today. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet neighbour. kellyr21 - thanks for asking - the PT is coming along well - less knee pain which is good. I'm going to try and catch some from scrapbook dot com this weekend also. I meant to last year and didn't yesterday I inventoried and organised all of my food storage (fridge, freezer, and dry goods) - what a project. Today is grocery day but first - scrapping. This evening we'll watch The Mandalorian as a family

Me too. But she seemed okay when my dgs accidentally called her from my phone on Sunday (her first name is the same as that of his mom, and Siri has decided that at random times I would prefer to substitute a call to my dd with a call to my friend). We texted back and forth later that day, but didn't talk about today's crop.

I checked it out this morning. Looks like they have Dyan Reavely booked. You will really enjoy her class: justjac and I attended a couple of days with her in person and she was really sweet and fun. I will check out the rest of the schedule and watch at least some of those classes.
