From Pennsylvania to California and back. A HS friend and I made that trip back in 1979. We both shared the driving, but it was still, by far, the furthest I've ever driven.

In April 2022 we travelled to Queensland from Adelaide to purchase a motor home. We flew to Queensland and spent about 10 days to get home.
we travelled 1288 miles (2075 kms) stopping every night and then stayed in caravan parks for a night or two depending on how we liked the park.
it was a good trip but I really don’t think I want to drive that far again anytime soon.

Half moon bay California to Pullman WA 892 miles in one day. I think it was like a 16 hour trip. Too long for one day
We've done trips in our car going from Pullman, WA to Pocatello, National parks in Utah, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, Seattle and then home. That was over the course of two weeks. Still a lot of time in the car.

500 miles is about the furthest I've ever driven straight through without stopping somewhere overnight. And even that is longer than I would like. I would prefer to keep one day drives to 300-400 miles. I just don't enjoy hours and hours of highway driving. Or day after day of such driving. So even when we plan longer trips, we try to have our stops be longer than just go to sleep, wake up, drive 8 hours again. More like stop, sleep, wake up, spend a day in this place, and then the next day drive again.

24 hours, Minnesota to lower Texas. DH and I split the driving and it worked for us. We left after school so DS slept early in the trip. When we were really getting tired the sun was bright and sunny and that helped to keep us awake. We could not do that on the way back. We pulled off and slept about 3 hours and then started again. We were much younger then.
