Beautiful! I have only done one of these scrapbooking events, but I do all the holiday ones in the fall. This is fantastic! Major FOMO here...

I don’t know how to add a photo but Becki Adams has a sneak peek of her class in the group. It uses the newest Maggie Holmes collection. I’m not the biggest MH fan, but I like the paper used here and I like Becki’s style, so I’m sure I’ll like the class.

I am in. This is only my second and love that they offer virtual events now. I did last Spring and am thinking of making this an annual tradition in the spring. So once a year for me.
The hard part is waiting for that shipping notice and my box to arrive safely. Last year I never received a shipping notice even in my junk mail and that was frustrating.
My friend who lives a few blocks away already received hers 🤦🏻♀️ So I’m feeling like it’s going to be the same this year.

Honestly I am not sure I *will* do this again. Neither time have I received an email or tracking number. I was hoping that was a fluke last time. But once again nothing and I have no way to see where my package is. Very frustrating. It’s an expensive event and if your box is lost or stolen you are not reimbursed and they make it clear they don’t want us to email about it. Hoping it’s on the way as they mentioned all boxes have been shipped.

My shipping notice came from freightcom but the delivery notice for the Cardmaking event came from purolator.

I searched my email for the word “shipping” and the noreply from freightcom popped up. Hope you hear soon. I was thinking the original notice said mine would be here today, but when I checked yesterday it is now saying Friday this week.

My box came today and I am #teamripitopen! I kinda wish next year they would do this more toward the summer. The fall and holiday event covers fall/winter, and then I have a ton of spring from the spring event (which I don’t like to scrap as much and take fewer photos), but these events never have summer designs.
I also have to say I’m a little disappointed and feel like the papercrafting event gets a lot less, both product and classes, than the cardmaking event. I know there is a price difference, but I always figured that was because the cardmaking has more high-dollar products like stamps and dies, in comparison to just paper and ephemera typically.

I got my box and opened it! I feel like the box is really good and generous. I was curious and looked at the prices of the things we got on scrapbook.com 😳 And most of two of the new lines we got are mostly sold out, can’t even get them without hunting and piecing together from several stores.
I love almost all the projects! I do NOT do or ever use mini books so I’ll pass on the flip book (I just know myself), but I love that collection so I’ll use it on my own.
One of the other projects I think can easily be turned into a layout so I will think on how to do that and do a 12x12 or even a double with those supplies.
I really just want layouts. I understand that seems boring but I don’t want to do anything that I can’t easily store as a page in my albums.

I’d love a summer themed class too. And the spring kits tend towards pastels and florals and butterflies and that is a whole vibe not everyone likes (me!). I think this box is a bit more well-rounded for the event than I’ve seen in the past, but there is a lot of that paler color palette still.

Picking up my box today. Looking forward to ripping it open!
A summer themed box would be AWESOME! I think the problem is that people don't scrap as much in the summer--too busy out having those adventures and taking those photos. Not sure about timing of new collections, either.
But wouldn't it be fun that instead of Christmas in July, we could have Summer Festival in January? A chance to scrap all those summer pic's with collections and other supplies that support them...

Picked up my box today, and sorted it into the classes. There were 9 classes packaged in 7 bags, so after my early confusion I was able to go to the contents lists and sort out the ones that were combined.
There are lots of pastel colours, but I see some yellows and blues and greens that would work beautifully for summer LO's.
Planning to skim through the booklet this evening. Looks like the most instructions in it are for the mini album and the monthly pocket pages. I don't usually put together mini albums or pocket pages, but in the holiday event from a couple of years ago, I found that the classes for those gave me lots of ideas for pages and cards, and I could use the supplies for different projects.

I received my box last week and went through it on Friday night - very nice products. I just did a quick glance, though. I will sort it all out one night this week. I agree about the summer-themed products. I would prefer those to Spring. grammadee, Summer in January would be amazing! Is it just me or is there no big "gift" in this box like the tool/brush holder last event or the stencil drying rack this past card making event? Wondering if I'm missing something. I really just want layouts. I understand that seems boring but I don’t want to do anything that I can’t easily store as a page in my albums. I agree! I just want layouts. I won't make the mini albums, but I will possibly make the elements for them and use them on my layouts instead - things like tags with clusters of ephemera could easily be transferred to a layout. So, I'll watch the mini album classes and do parts of them to be used later.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who does not like the mini book and other not-layout projects. I mean they are cute, don’t get me wrong. I just don’t do them. I think a good majority are the same but they’re trying to appease the mini makers, maybe. I think it’s a little weird though because if you only like mini books, there are so many places to get kits for mini books. You’re not signing up for Crop & Create for one mini class if that’s all you do. You’re signing up for the layouts. I agree that I get a lot of cute ideas for my pages from the minis and projects though. I’ll use Virginia’s clustering ideas for my layouts for sure. Those are nice and I have some photo ideas for that paper already.

I’ve been watching the fb group for the box content lists, which they said would be shared after boxes started arriving, but I guess they’re going to wait until unboxing. I am disappointed we didn’t really get any extra stuff, especially with some of the comments Catherine has made making it sound like we were getting some cool stuff. I have so many mini albums I don’t know what to do with; I don’t need more.

I went back and looked and there DOES seem to be a gift thing that I don’t see used on a layout, unless I missed something. I assumed it went with a class so I didn’t think much of it.

I’m going to watch! I want to make sure I sort everything in the right class kits and I’m unsure and have a couple of questions I think they’ll end up answering tonight. I also want to be sure I got it all. I haven’t cross referenced a packing list or anything yet so this will do that for me.

I got my box a couple of days ago but didn't have time to decide if I want to peek or not, now I watched the unboxing event and can't find my box to check the content (we are renovating right now and I can't find anything!) The content looks great and I think the gift thing is the mystery use item (for which I might have unfortunately no use).

Yeah, the extra is the die set and the decor. In the past we got additional items, like mini glue bottle from SBC, organizing item from Totally Tiffany, and some sort of treat. I was hoping for the stencil drier like the card class got. I like the die and will use it, but miss getting the other stuff. I guess the card manufacturers are more generous.

I thought they were never going to open the box!!!! 😂
I’m not surprised we didn’t get the stencil drying rack. I’d bet a lot of participants would have ended up with two as crossovers doing both and it appears they took up a lot of room in the card box. They’re basically a baby bottle drying rack - fyi if you want one!
I do agree the little goodie bag felt skimpy. The die is nice (curious what the plan is for that) and I’m happy to have another blending brush because I didn’t think I needed one for black and gray, but it turns out I do. That saves me from a purchase. I have both the Distress ink colors in large size so I’ll probably sell those cubes.
I don’t care about the decor. But it seems some get into it.
Jess seems really sweet and I’m excited to take a class with her. I don’t do a lot of pocket pages but I went through my photos from last year and I think I could do the month in review idea for the whole year with some extra every day photos that I might not or didn’t plan to scrap. That made me extra happy to see. I’m planning on printing those so I can add them as we work through the class.

I like that the dies were on a magnetic sheet. And a couple of the classes have stencils. They could have saved the SCT sticky mat for this event. There was already one in the card box--Simon Hurley's?--so we got two last month.
I just found out that dh has plans to be gone all day on the Friday, so I am looking forward to participating in the "mini" classes that day.
