I am madly trying to finish up all of my UFOs before the end of the quarter, to try and earn some points for my team! I mentioned on another thread that one of my favourite Christmas kits is Peppermint Twist by Gina Miller. I was so excited when it was released, because it matched my Christmas Tree and decorations perfectly. So it was the perfect kit to use to scrap a photo of me matching my Christmas tree. The design is a scraplift of a page by 'mrivas' at The Digital Press. gina here it is.

This LO is for the 'Text Me' challenge (use screen shots of a text conversation). I really struggled with the design of this page, then I found a tutorial on using text messages on pages, and I copied one of the layouts in the tutorial.

Extra perfect because you matched the tree and then found a kit to match everything! And what pretty colors and prints. Perfect for a bright sunny Australian Christmas. I can see how this would've been tricky to design but I think it works really well to repeat the key photo bigger. I love the style and colors of offset type hahaha.

I made a little note to put inside a package for my friend. Forgot to take a photo before I sent it, but it looked a lot like this. I folded up a little note inside with the record. I just got the dies in the big Concord & 9th sale so I've been cutting lots of bits to play around with. June share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Your "note" cards look awesome, joblackford ! Here are my last pages for this quarter. This first LO is my sample for July's DONNA challenge. I finally got to use a household item directly on my project--the cotton ball torn and fluffed out to make clouds. Things are looking up! by Gramma Dee, on Flickr This next doesn't have much journaling b/c I wasn't at the event, just scrapping the pic's my ddil posted for me. The title is a photo I grabbed from the event website. Mario Musical by Gramma Dee, on Flickr And finally my JUNE calendar page for NEXT year. Looks darker than I wanted it to, but I have quit trying to adjust the colour and lighting. POINTS: five 12x12 pages (100), created & shared (10). Theme (10) and photos (15) for the Donna challenge. P-21 cotton balls as clouds, T-10 popping up kites as per SCT demo. 127.

I have been playing with more of the things I got discounted from C&9th. This is my first turnabout stamp but I actually got it for the sentiments (which is good because the turnabout doesn't line up with its guide at all. Luckily doesn't matter much.) I like the handwritten style font. The card is meh, just a sample. June share by jo.blackford, on Flickr I cut a rainbow in white and colored it with inks direct to paper and then tried it out with a sunburst die I have. I think it might work out better with different cloud dies but I was happy with this sample. The rainbow shape has long straight ends which I thought could be multi-purpose - cut the straight bit for stripes or stamp sentiments on them. I think it will be fairly versatile. Continuing experiments with new products, I decided to make the most obvious versions of these cards first, see where my brain takes me and which versions I like the best. Figured I may as well make the first samples into simple cards. I really love the folk art Noel die. I played with using the shadow and not, using the negative space piece, filling the little flowers. It's not too time consuming or fiddly. I'll experiment with adding a secondary sentiment strip next and texturing the background after that. June share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

One last card. Needs to go into the mail today. Is that balloon sentiment fussy cut? Or on a different layer? It looks so dimensional

artbabe , that title on the university page is just PERFECT. Love the stack of books and the other school icons on your pp. Using that lemon pp and the blues with that shirt in the pic on the Thirteen page is genius! I always love your beach LO's. The torn edges on the first page and the spray of stars on the second. Is that 49 & Market pp? So perfect for beach pages. The title on the university page is actually on the banner above my nephew's head. That photo was taken outside the dorm I lived in when I went there, and yes, I'll remember that walk forever. And that is definitely 49 & Market paper. I love that paper. I love so many people's layouts that I can't even begin to comment. I especially love grammadee, craftymom101, and aussiemeg's layouts. I get so inspired by seeing other's work. And everyone makes such pretty cards!

lenigirl08 - wow, what beautiful dimension, colour and just idea in using that background pp and filling it with documentation but clearly defining the photo and title - this is gorgeous! Those florals are stunning.

Thanks for sharing, lenigirl08. That is one beautiful page! Love the dimension of the gorgeous flowers framing those happy faces. And what a great idea to use the pL cards to house the journaling, keeping it in small bites easy to read AND look at!
