I am so far behind... in everything... Hope to get back here over the next day or two and leave some love. grammadee - did you make that mixed media background? I love the colours - they are perfect with the photo! Thankyou! I did the background by applying a few colours of SB.com "Pops of Color" with a scraper to Vicki Boutin foundations cs. I picked up a couple of sets of them when they had a big sale, and those were some of the Neon ones.

Your little royal gnomes are so fun, and the butterfly is beautiful too. So much tiny detail to glue down! Did you recently get a new cutting machine or did you take a class to expand your skills? I don't remember seeing you do cricut crafts before. Thank you - no, still using the Cricut Expression I've had for eons(2010 I think - just before the lawsuit was settled) but nylene generously passed along some cartridges to me (I had only ever used it with SCAL) and someone here posted the link to the Gnome Countdown and I snagged some gnomes and other cut files there and I've been getting some cut files from PE and I just am trying to actually USE the Cricut more and learn how to do more stuff with it. woohooo! That's even better So satisfying to use something in new and better ways!

Started this a month ago, before our trip! The upper right corner got spilled on by my cat, so I had to cut another piece of pp and put it overtop and it's a little warped layout whose bed is it anyway by kirstendrew, on Flickr

craftymom101 - another lovely layout - I really like that butterfly at the top but all the embellishments around the photo block just draw the eye in kitbop - I love the teal and yellow -great combo! Doesn't look like there is too much space left in the bed - but he doesn't seem to mind! And I love the Austin quote!

PP is Paper Studio, stickers are EP, cut-apart is Parklane, I think PP is Paper Studio, stickers are Pinkfresh and Bella Blvd and maybe EP? I don't love this one but it's done and the memories are preserved.

Catching up on sharing recent cards... sorry my lighting is terrible today. One sheet of Christmas-ish paper for 7 cards. Honey Bee lovely layers poinsettias on vellum circles. I tried out some Paper Rose pre-made sentiment strips with these, very convenient. May share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Red white and blue postcards for a card drive (more info on the drive in the pinned card donation thread) Scrap strip cards: May share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Using up some random scraps after I ran out of red cardstock. The piece with the bubbles cut into it is the scrap from cutting Xmas holly berries. May share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Create in Quads, 2 of each with stamped stars added: May share by jo.blackford, on Flickr I stocked up on red and blue cardstock and came home with a fun HA star confetti die too. Inlaying a few contrasting stars is a bit time consuming because it turns out there are 5-7 slightly different sizes but I think they're pretty cool. May share by jo.blackford, on Flickr The card drive requires that the cards not have any sentiments which is why some of these might seem a little unfinished.

This was a fun card to make. I think I will make this pattern again for some family weddings. My DGS who was married last weekend is a big truck guy, so I knew he would enjoy it. Hitched grammadee, if I posted my layouts on the Party thread, is that good enough or do they need to be posted here too?

nylene - that is *stinkin'* cute. That's the highest level of cuteness I can express! joblackford - I have that quads stencil and will most definitely be stealing the added stars idea! Gorgeous. The inlaid stars - you only inlaid a few, right? RIGHT? Cause that looks insanely intricate (and wonderful).
