Are masks still required by you?

I’m in Germany. Mask mandates at doctors offices and other medical facilities was removed at the end of March. My GP still asks that you wear a mask if you are coming in with a respiratory infection.

No, they are no longer required anywhere I go. And the hospital my daughter works for (she is a surgical resident) has also lifted the mandatory masks at the hospital. It's a large hospital too (800+ beds). I haven't worn a mask in ages thankfully.

I don’t know about countrywide but locally they are expected to ge worn in medical facilities. That’s what I expected. I only see a few people out in stores, hair salons, etc. still wearing them, but it seems medical facilities would keep it going. I was wrong. I’m not sure how I feel about it, but they know more than me, that’s for sure.

Most of my doctor's offices have dropped the requirement. It wasn't the end of the world to wear one but I am glad I don't have to anymore.

My son had ortho surgery last Thursday at a hospital that was pretty well-known for mandatory mask-wearing (Methodist for the locals). I was surprised that we didn't have to wear masks at the hospital anymore. I had just gone to my ortho in the same system last month, and they were still requiring masks at that time.

I’ve been to my dermatologist multiple times this past month and their sign says masks optional. He and the other physicians are wearing them but not their staff.

They're no longer mandatory here but strongly encouraged in the ER and urgent care where most people are going with suspected cases of COVID-19. Certain offices and specialties are requiring them still, mostly the oncologists and infusion treatment area. You know, the areas where the most immunocompromised people are going to be.
I still see people wearing masks in large crowds.

At the hospital I work in, it stopped being compulsory about 3 weeks ago...some of us are still wearing them though.
At my doctor it's not required, but the doctor I see still wears an n-95 (I don't know why) so out of respect for her, I still wear a surgical mask when I see her.

My boys' dermatologists office hasn't required them for a long time. My youngest son sees an NP at a psychiatric office that is inside of a hospital and we didn't have to wear a mask at his last appointment in January, nor did we have to wear one while walking through the hospital to get to the office.

There’s still required in hospital settings along with urgent cares and I had to wear one for my CT scan in the office.

Sort of a mixed bag where I’m at (Chicago).
I’ve been accompanying my mom for several medical appointments and one hospital visit. In her medical network, mask-wearing has been optional since the last week of March.
In my medical network, however, the mask mandate was still in place as of April for hospitals but not doctors’ offices. But when I went to my derm, I was still required to wear a mask. So, I don’t know what’s up with my network—it just seems arbitrary.

The only place I am still required to wear a mask is when I visit my mom in the nursing home. Now I do see people wearing them when I'm out and about voluntarily.

Any medical related facility still has mandatory masks. Hospital, Diagnostic Center, Doctors Office, Lab, Dentist, Eye Doctor. All require masks. I really wish they didn’t because I have mild to moderate hearing loss and it makes it really tough to always hear what people are saying. I’m “that” old lady every one hates because I often need things repeated. Yes, I’ll say it - “it is what it is”. I really glad I don’t have to wear one at the hairdressers. I’m getting a cut and color on Friday and as much $$$ as I’m spending, I want her to be able to see what she’s doing! I had a couple of wonky haircuts because of that darn mask.

I don't go to medical facilities a lot, but there's been very little mask wearing in any I've been in for at least a year or so.

I had a dermatologist appointment last week and no one in the office was wearing masks.
The office is located inside a rather sizeable surgical center outside of Dallas that still has a sign on the door requesting masks to be worn but no workers of the center that I saw were wearing them.

The state requirement in healthcare settings ended fairly recently- I think the beginning of April? Providers can still choose to require them, of course.
