Remember when pink and brown were super popular in 2003/4/5? I loved it then, but now I find it feels...dingy? Oh my yes! I still have some ribbon from this era that I look at but cannot quite bring myself to use. It's a colour combo that instantly makes me think of this time period. I really should find a way to use it that feels less retro. |

Linda the rainbow heart paper is just lovely with your rainy day photo, and I love how you've pulled the colours from your background paper out with the rays in in the Hello Sweet page. The green was the perfect choice for the Shrek dress up photos and I really like how you've embellished with the images of the characters. The rainbow stripe on the birthday page works beautifully to pull my eye around the photos. I think I've caught everyone else who linked pages.

Discussion Question - What's on in the background during your scrappy sessions? I will often listen to podcasts or music, or just put longer youtube videos on. I don't face my computer screen so whatever I choose needs to be something that doesn't make me want to turn around every few minutes to see what is happening. |

Catching up with everyone from page 2 Linda, great job on getting those rays figured out! I love the patterns, and that photo is priceless. I picked up a very sturdy Heidi Swapp sunburst stencil and T M a few years ago. I use it for all these kinds of pages. (I’ll surely being using it on this prompt lol) I love seeing how you modify the sketches to work for your page size, and Neigh is one of those Those postage stamp type squares are cute and the colors really draw your eye to those great photos! And the pinks and deep browns of your 2012 spread are some of my favorite colors together, great family photos. What time do other peas tend to hit the hay, and get up in the morning? Are you a night owl or an early bird? Has this changed since you were young? I’m becoming more and more of a morning person. And also more and more willing to go to bed earlier 10-11 ish. I read somewhere “Going to bed early is how adults sleep in” It tricked me enough to convince myself to start getting to bed earlier lol. I really like how you used the banners as background. I have tried that design, but just can’t seem to make it look right. From looking at yours I can tell I didn’t overlap and layer enough. I’ve used that sketch and felt the same way, like my banners didn’t look quite right. I think Linda solved the riddle  Now that my prompts are ready, I can focus tomorrow on these other great themes and recipes and complete them. I’m not sure how much scrapping will be happening with it being Mother’s Day, and I know DS2 is planning to stop by later in the day. But Monday is mine all mine, all day, scrapfest lol. |

Popping in to say hi! I began the first sketch, but I decided to finish it tomorrow. Busy day over here, with lots of running around, but I got the base of the layout done. I’m glad so many people have posted their amazing pages which provided lots of inspiration.

Popping by before work to wish peas who are celebrating a Happy Mother's Day, Or a Happy Regular Day! to those who don't have a special day today. Last night, I scrapped...but not with paper. I organized and gathered photos, and watched Shimelle videos to help me plan my projects! Today I hope to do better and play with paper. But I have a desire to get our Florida trip ready to be scrapped, even though I have 2 years of photos that also need attention. I'm thinking I should WRITE my Florida story, and then I can relax that I won't forget details. Background: scrappy videos on you-tube are my background noise if I need some. Actually tho, I'm more productive without noise. I can't split my attention (any more) between a new show and my crafting. Age. joyfulnana - I adore your layout! I rarely see a 1 pager from you! The lightness of the page with really pretty embellishment is lovely. Your interpretation of the sketch is great - you changed it up perfectly. Such a cute pic of Rudy, and I like the "list" idea today too, maybe it will help me get started. |

I wish for a versatile, non-themed, white-based, clean, & modern collection that can be paired with other colors to use on any layout. Perhaps classic men's suit-inspired patterned papers (e.g. plaids, stripes, herringbone, houndstooth) in a neutral color palette (e.g. white, cream, black, charcoal, grey, midnight, navy) with usable embellishments (e.g. labels, journaling cards, alphas stickers, matte enamel dots) & tools (e.g. classic patterned/basic stencils, wood-mounted background stamps, alpha dies). I love that - I would definitely buy it |

I'm thinking I should WRITE my Florida story, and then I can relax that I won't forget details. YES write it up asap then you can scrap at your leisure. What I usually do on trips is write an email each evening telling all the details of the day and then use those for my journalling. When I was camping still and didn't have email access, I would type up a long email once I returned (there is someone who likes getting the emails - otherwise I would just send to myself) |

Dh and the kids gave me some awesome cards. We are going to a museum later this morning to walk around and enjoy the exhibits. Then I will be spending the day crafting. Dh is going to pick me up a Starbucks coffee and we will be getting In n Out for dinner so I don't have to cook |

Hi, trying to catch up on the thread while taking a mental break from a LO I am working on for challenge 2! Amazing LO's everyone! kitbop, I love the rays but what I love most of all is the twist you did where instead of layering the circle you removed it. Genius! It looks very cool, and at the same time it shows the paper underneath. nylene the tiny details of your pages are great! The presents and the clean style of the LO really work with the colors and I love the giant #2. What a fun page to scrap! grammadee, that LO just screams, "FUN!" you all look like you are having such a good time and the way you turned your rays into banners (or banners into rays) looks great. Kudos to you as well for getting 6 pics on one page and having it look good! pantsonfire The soft colors contrasted with the black and white is a super cool look. Really contemporary and modern, and clean as well. I love your page and it's message. linda I love how you broke the mold and scrapped something that had to be somewhat stressful! But you were able to see the potential in it and record that memory. The colors look great with the truck and the LO is a awesome one for those big photos that I generally have no idea how to scrap. Thanks!! Chinagirl828 Your LO is soft but strong at the same time and the colors work wonderfully with the photo. I love the punched edge and the dreamy quality of the LO. |

I haven't had a chance yet today to start scrapping and it looks like I won't be until later today. Hopefully. But tomorrow we still have a day to catch up and I'm really pinning my hopes on it lol.

Linda, that birthday LO is super! I love how the different elements work together--the quilted look background and that square photo grid--and then the balance of the overlapping photos with the grid and the banner with balloons. Super, I say!

Happy Mothers Day/Sunday to all my Pea Friends! I got a covid booster yesterday, and did a lot of errands, but today I had time to scrap (after I napped off the booster). Starting with Sketch #1, and I got the word "sunshine" in there too!  Artists Palette - Pea Party Sketch 1 by scrappy rabbit, on Flickr I started this one as Sketch #2 but then I realized it worked better for Sketch #3. Discussion topics: I am definitely more of a night owl - if left to my own devices. But because of work and stuff, I have to wake up early so I typically go to bed around 10 or 10:30. If I am working from home, I set my alarm for 6:30 but don't usually get up until 7. If I have to go to the office, I set my alarm for 5:30 (and get up promptly). I've tend to need a lot of sleep, because if I don't get sufficient sleep I always feel sick the next day! I always scrap with a video or something on tv. I scrap in my living room with a portable desk, so I put on either a scrappy you-tube video on the tv or an episode of something easy to watch from Netflix. Lately, it's been Hoarders, but that's not actually my usual type of show. I can't watch anything serious or something I need to pay attention to, otherwise I'd be too distracted to scrap. Layouts: I saw and appreciate everyone's layouts so far! I can't comment on them all individually here but I will catch the ones that are in the gallery. linda the graduation layouts are so great! That SG paper worked out very nicely for your pictures. I like the "Ol Reliable" layout as well. Is that the SG car-themed collection? pantsonfire thanks for sharing your lovely layouts! I agree that your layouts have a very airy feel to them. The colors are very cheerful. Enjoy your in-n-out tonight! Burgers have been one of my cravings for SURE! kmage your starburst layouts are colorful and fun! I liked the layered hearts over the color bursts, as well as the pre-done VB paper you used. |

Good morning Peas! I'm on a day off and have only 3 things on the schedule: 1. watching Shimelle - LIVE! I've never got to watch one! 2. join the CROP! Hooray! 3. Go to the gym before afternoon rush starts (I skipped for mother's day and the sushi that they made for supper) scrappyrabbit - I love those 3 layouts, telling the story, and all feeling so well designed. I'll leave comments in the gallery. I too feel sick if I don't get enough sleep - getting up early if I'm tired feels literally painful, and I don't think morning people feel that!!! |

Not sire if I will get in any scrap time today. Got a few chores to do, ds will be home earlier than usual, and we meet with his new regional case carrier for state services. We begin the transfer to adult services today. 🤯 This way everything is set up so when he turns 18, programs and adult services start with no hiccups.
The good thing is we found out both kids can stay on our insurance past 26 due to their disabilities. So ds will maintain private and get medi-cal too.

Discussion Question: If you were designing a collection, what types of papers and embellishments would you include? ooohh if I was designing a collection it include lots of "B" sides, with smaller tone on tone patterns, stars, hearts, etc. I would be a strong male/boy collection with blue (navy especially), woodgrain, greens on WHITE background. It would include cut aparts for PL and fussy cutting. It would be as generic a boy line as you could make lol. I took the day off today as well and plan to mostly scrap all day. Or as long as possible. I'll be working on the prompts from the party, and then some clean up and organizing. And definitely the online crop this morning! |
