And the one where you get a motorcade to court and a press conference and go about smearing people as you run for office to commit the crime again

In a deep dive into Donald Trump's tenuous relationship with Iowa's Republican Party leadership, the New York Times is reporting that the former president left Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) hanging by not only not showing up for her annual "Roast and Ride" charity event over a month ago — but he also cost her money.

As the Des Moines Register reported last month, "This year's event, attended by an estimated 900 people, raised money for the Freedom Foundation, a veterans assistance nonprofit based in Cedar Rapids."

The Times reports that Trump had made it clear that he would not attend — which would have put him on equal footing with his rivals for the GOP nomination — but that his campaign would provide the Iowa senator with a videotaped address that could be played for the crowd.

However, the former president failed to come through and Ernst's fundraiser for veterans was stuck with a needless expense.

According to the Times, "His campaign had expressed interest in sending videotaped remarks, and Ms. Ernst’s operation then rented large screens for the purpose of showing them, but he never sent a video — leaving Ms. Ernst’s team without a recording, and the cost of the equipment to cover, according to five people briefed on the incident."

Add to that, a simple request for an autographed motorcycle helmet to be used as a fundraising tool was also botched.

"Ms. Ernst’s team had planned on using the chance to win a motorcycle helmet signed by all of the Republican candidates as a lure to sell tickets to the 'Roast and Ride.' They sent the helmet to Mr. Trump, who returned it later than expected and had added the numbers '45' and '47,' signaling he would be the 47th president, the role everyone else is also running for, according to two people with knowledge of the episode," the Times reported before dryly adding, "They never used the helmet."

It was a reference to Curb Your Enthusiasm (Theme song) from Larry David who says "pretty, pretty, pretty good" quite often.  It was funny... haha

On Fox, she most certainly did change her statement. 

"As Whitehouse press secretary, I would have marched into the basement level secret service office and said give me the answer. I'm not walking to the podium without an answer. But Karine Jean-Pierre has had zero answers.

I talked to people last week , previous staffers. The only ones that utilized the cubbies are guests of Whitehouse staffers.
Then all of a sudden you go to the situation room, the only ones putting their phones there are people like me, walking into a secure facilty, walking in to hear a briefing...
That lead me to believe this must be a Whitehouse staffer.

Last week I previously ruled out Hunter Biden he wasn't at the Whitehouse for 48 hours. I've got to tell you this, when I watched Karine Jean-Pierre at the press briefing Friday and she was asked point blank is this Hunter, I can tell you if someone would have asked me about any Trump family member, who had no history of cocaine I would have gone to Donald Trump and said people are saying this is a family member. What do you say president trump? If he had said absolutely not, my answer at the podium would be I have zero reason to believe that this is anyone connected to the president or his family. She didn’t say that, (*or anything like that) and to me that was very telling."

No, that's not a retraction.  She's just saying what she would have done.  And what's telling?  What the press secretary said or didn't say?  She's speculating based on the press secretary's statement.  She's implying something but she didn't retract her statement or explicitly say maybe that's Hunter's.  She was widely criticized by conservatives for denying the conspiracy theories and saying it could not have been Hunter's.  This is her attempt to redeem herself.  Do I believe anything she says?  No, she's a practiced liar.

In her imaginary scenario, if there had been cocaine in the White House, it's entirely possible that it was Don Jr's, so that hypothetical isn't even likely.  Who knows what Trump might have said in private?  Would Trump and McEneny have publicly lied about it and denied it?  Absolutely.  But that doesn't make Hunter Biden guilty.

Mcconnell is now supporting Thomas claiming liberal justices have taken gifts too...



On Thursday, McConnell was forced to reach back in time, more than three years ago, to March of 2020 when Leader Schumer "slammed Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh," as NBC News reported, at "an abortion-rights rally outside the Supreme Court."

Schumer later said, "he regretted saying that two Supreme Court justices 'won't know what hit' them if they vote to uphold abortion restrictions, but insisted he was not making a threat and offered no apology."

“I shouldn't have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat. I never, never would do such a thing, and Leader McConnell knows that," Schumer said on the Senate floor.

McConnell on Thursday described Schumer's three-year old remarks by telling Hewitt, "Chuck Schumer for example earlier went over to the Supreme Court, called out two of the members by name, and said they pay a price if they ruled a certain way."
