They also lowered the total cherries you can get per day down to 100 I haven't been searching like i used to but I did yesterday and it was lowered from 200 to 150.. So it lowered again today to 100? hope this doens't mean we have to worry about ACOT That is what it says under the cherry hunting information, the max is 100 per day.

ACOT is really branching out to a lot of other hobbies and crafts. I get email blasts at least twice a day that say some sort of sale, but it already know I can get 20% on any order anytime anyway. The emails have become annoying. I haven't stopped loving the store or anything. I just think they could scale back a lot. I will still get the messages trust me.

I agree. I had to unsubscribe because of being constantly bombarded and it left such a bad taste in my mouth about them that after my first order I have not gone back to their store. Email spam, it's literally spam, is the WORST marketing tool ever!

Email spam, it's literally spam, is the WORST marketing tool ever! Aeryn I know how you feel. Every morning there is a sale tactic and then in the afternoon at least once maybe two or more times the let me know every time they upload new stock. It is obnoxious. One a day is sufficient. Believe me. The fact they are cutting back on the rewards we can use does make me nervous. I pay a lot in shipping as I am outside the US and I know they mark up their shipping by a lot. I can deal with that as long as I get a decent discount on my purchase. If I can't get that then I will do without. I have placed many $3-400 orders in tha past and will not do that again. But that's just my opinion and maybe they can be picky about how they treat their regular customers. Look what happened to Two Peas, A Million Liile Things, Rocky Mountain Hobbies, A Peek into Yesterday, lifetime Monents, dMarie, etc...

I can't imagine any business being able to give 50% discounts on every order and staying in business so limits should be set. While I am not interested in the other crafts they are offering right now, I think it's a good idea to branch out to other areas. People do a lot more than scrapbook and if they can provide more of a one stop shop, more power to them.
Elannah, for such large orders, I would call them and see if you can work out something to help with the shipping costs. Maybe they can calculate the actual shipping charge plus whatever fees or duty that's involved with shipping to Canada in order to keep your business.

I usually collect my 150 cherries in about 30 minutes.

I had an order with 2 pieces of paper, 2 packs of journaling cards and a wrmk tag ($.59). ~$11 total and ship was 6. I just couldn't go through with it even though I wanted my items baaaaad! It's the paper. As soon as they have to use that big box, shipping is going to cost more. It's not the cost of your items--it's the cost that a larger box incurs. They always have deals on shipping, but it's with a certain amount purchased. And they have a code lookup right on the checkout page. They try to make it easy. They package paper carefully. It's put into a big zip closed bag and then taped to a 12 x 12 piece of cardboard. And orders come fast. I live on the west coast and shipping is outrageous no matter what I buy. If I get 12x12 paper it is always at least 16.00 which is crazy since they could ship it in a flat rate box for less, and even if I don't order 12x12 paper it is at least 10.00. I won't order from them because of it.

The shipping isn't cheap but at least it's reasonable.

Shipping to SoCal US usually 9.88 for 12x12 items, but I usually use a coupon and or cherries so that usually makes shipping free or very cheap!

That is weird, I have never paid less than 7.00 with shipping for 12x12 papers and that is with the coupon. The coupon never makes it free for me. I live in Washington.

So even if the shipping total is $16 and you have a $10 discount, shipping is $6. That's still good. If I went to the LSS, I'd spend $6 on a coffee and a quick lunch. Maybe you live in a weird area where shipping is just high? If you haven't ordered in a while, it may be worth another look. And sometimes sales have a flat $2.95 shipping. I usually just keep tossing stuff into my cart and then when there is a sale or promotion, I buy then.

And Skellinton, the ability to ship in a flat rate box depends on how much paper you're getting, because the medium flat rate box doesn't have a 12" dimension. You can only fit whatever slips in on the diagonal. And the big 12x12 is $17.90 (and some of those papers are bigger than 12" in one dimension).
