knutschen, I am glad you are through the journey of the divorce. What a wonderful way to celebrate by taking a long-awaited trip. I hope you have a wonderful, restful and tranquil trip. Take lots of photos and come back here and tell us about it. Hugs! I had a wonderful experience yesterday. My sister became reacquainted with a cousin with whom we had lost touch many years ago.It was such a weird coincidence. My sis made arrangements for her to come visit while she was traveling Utah. So we all got together and had lunch at my sister's home and talked and reminisced for hours yesterday. I was 11 when I last saw her. She brought her brother and wife, and her grand- and great-granddaughter. Her brother was only 3 when I saw him last. I am so glad we have connected again. Her mother was my favorite Auntie. kellyr21, your classes sound like fun. What type of cooking are you learning? I look forward to seeing some of the things you have learned in your watercoloring class. gramma, sending loads of love to you. Please take care of yourself. kitbop, hugs to you as you work through the things that need your attention. I'm sure there are a lot of memories attached to the house and furnishings. grammadee, the garden is never finished, is it? When we had a big garden it seemed like I spent all my time there. But it's so wonderful to reap the harvest of having a big garden. I hope you can carve out a little time for you to reenergize by scrapping. I need to get busy! Have a great weekend, everyone.

Have a wonderful birthday adventure, knutschen ! Want to hear about all of it when you get back home.
What a wonderful family adventure, nylene. So glad you were able to catch up. We just heard yesterday that the sons of one of our oldest cousins will be visiting one of our youngest cousins in August, and we are invited to join them for a picnic in the park on the weekend they are there. Reconnecting with family is always a blessing.

Happy Friday and I hope you all are doing well today. Here is some art! The iris flowers are from last nights watercolor class. I traced the templet image and then colored with my paints. It looks pretty good. Watercolor Iris by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr This doggy I did last month in my regular sketch class. No tracing and drew it from scratch. It was a lot of work but turned out so cute that I decided to color him with my colored pencils. Puppy Drawing by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

Those are great, kellyr21 . I especially love the iris. That's one of my favorite flowers and was one of my mom's favorite flowers. They are always the first to bloom in my yard and give me such joy. Thank you for sharing with us. That cute little doggie has great pleading eyes! Keep up the classes. These are wonderful. This is my 4th layout this month for Pokey Peas. Oh The Places You'll Go

Good Sunday morning, Pokeys! What are you up to today? Anything crafty? I have one more grad LO to put together, but after I finished my 2-pager yesterday I started cleaning my scraproom. Did alot of sorting which left me with some piles of scraps and papers and embellishments on my scrap counters, and now I need to finish putting that stuff away. And my dies still need to be sorted from the tray beside my Vagabond and returned to their homes. Tuesday I have a vehicle appointment in the morning and book club with justjac in the evening. In between, I hope to spend the day at the LSS scrapbooking. My cleaning binge yesterday actually started when I went looking for something I wanted to take with me on Tuesday Yesterday afternoon, we went to a local rodeo to watch our ddil barrel race with her new horse. She didn't place, but her horse is willing and they are getting to know each other. AND I got to take photos with my camera from just the other side of the fence. Excited to see more closely how they turned out, but they looked good on my camera viewing screen. Will be printing them on Tuesday and then I get to play with my cowboy/cowgirl sb supplies again! My legs are stiff today and my knees are complaining. Hmmm... from cleaning? Or from hiking from our vehicle to the rodeo grounds to scope out the parking situation and then back to the truck to let dh know? It was about half a mile over rough ground and up and down a couple of hills. How are you doing, joyfulnana? Hoping you are having a better weekend than you had week. Thinking of you, gramma. Sending you strength and (((((HUGS))))). Are you home yet, kitbop? Hope your trip to BC went better than you expected. Did they wait for you for your aunt's funeral? Or do you still have that to attend? There is love on Flickr, nylene and kellyr21.

Hi Pokeys. That week sure flew by. We worked really hard and I wouldn't say we had a good time but we did accomplish a lot. I have zero reserves left in energy or emotion right now. I feel more "fragile" than ever before in my life, if that makes sense? I was always the resilient one. Whatever I deal with at home this week is going to need to be really "in my face/do it NOW" type stuff because I'm spent. joyfulnana - hugs to you my friend. Hope you will keep reading the boards and know that I am thinking about you. I sure wish you were close enough to visit. I feel like your emotional reserve is empty like mine and we'd probably be good company for each other. gramma - please know that even though we are geographically separated, I am quietly sitting beside you, and will run for your coke/pepsi and hamburger/hotdog on white/brown whenever you need.

Hey ladies, gramma asked me to let you know that Ken passed Friday evening. She said she won't be worth much for awhile. I hate that he went downhill so fast and right when they were moving closer to their daughter. Thanks for all the well wishes and kind thoughts. Things are easing up - maybe? It's been the same old at work, but I do think I never completely recovered from the beating we took during the 2020-2021 RV season when it went so biszerk. It seems to take so much out of me now to get through a busy day. Letting myself get run down of course didn't help. And DS2 is still struggling. He's back in a rehab, but needing a lot of emotional support in the way of talk time, which has been draining at times as well. But he seems to be getting on more solid footing so I'm hopeful he is feeling better too. It's been a lot of talking to people all day, him pretty much in the evening and that left no energy for anything or anyone else. Throw Rudy time in there and I've been toast lol. I'm making sure I get lots of sleep and as much "quiet" as possible. It's helping and I'm going to be kinder to myself in that regard. How exciting grammadee that you got up close photos. You need to take care of yourself too. From the sounds of this thread, we all need to be giving ourselves some TLC nylene that is awesome that you had such a nice catch up with cousins you haven't seen in decades! My niece and I were talking about all of her cousins the other day and she mentioned wishing everyone got to together. My family is horrible at that. IDK, we are just a weird bunch lol. kellyr21 great job on your drawings! There is a YT channel Rudy introduced me to called "Direct Draw" that is a fun way to get started- which would be a good thing for me lol. Rudy and his dad are both artists in that way. They can both draw really well, but seldom do. I love hearing about all the things you try. I'm off to Joann for a little retail therapy. Nothing in mind, maybe some of the the new Jen Hadfield line if they it out and stocked. Mostly just because it's been a while and it's fun to just go look at new pretties in person lol. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Waving Hi and sending hugs to everyone!

joyfulnana, thank you so much for letting us know about Ken & Claudia. My heart just aches for her. Things went downhill so fast that I'm sure she is in a quandary. So many decisions and so much to do when she's hurting so much. I'm glad you a doing some better...retail therapy will help. Hugs to you as you lend a listening ear to those who need to talk. Take care of yourself and drop in when you are up to it. gramma, if you are reading this, Steve and I are both so sorry for Ken's passing. We love you and wish we were close enough for you to lean on. We are sending hugs to you and your family and you are still in our prayers for strength and comfort. Take care, sweet friend!

((((( gramma))))), I hope you can feel all the love and support pouring out of your computer from all of us here. So sorry for your loss. I always say a quick end is best for the person leaving, but devastating for those left behind. (((((HUGS))))) joyfulnana. Hopefully your ds will regain some confidence and self sufficiency soon. Welcome home, kitbop. Hope you can find some down time to decompress after all the ups and downs of the past couple of months. Off to town to pick rhubarb at dd's house. They won't be out til at least the weekend and hot dry weather will not bode well for that plant. If dsil's passport came in, he plans to leave today for his posting, so a sad day for dgs and mom.

Sending love to all you Pokeys. gramma I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. joyfulnana and kitbop I hope you both get a chance to rest and take care of yourselves as you deal with all you have going on. nylene I love your pages. You do such a wonderful job documenting your beautiful family. grammadee I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. kellyr21 I love your iris. Such pretty colours. knutschen I've enjoyed seeing some of your pics on Instagram! Linda it sounds like your DH found some treasures for you! School is winding down for me. My last day is June 29. It hasn't been very busy in class, but we have to start preparing for the fall soon. It is Pride week here, and DH and I went to our first Drag Brunch on the weekend. It was a lot of fun: basically brunch and then a drag show. I bought a 12' round inflatable pool for the backyard, so I'm excited to get it set up and get in the water. I love being in the water but it is not DH cup of tea, so we don't visit any lakes, and the public pool here is so busy! DH has been struggling a bit with anxiety lately. It's a year since his mom died and I think he's belatedly dealing with a lot of grief that he just tried to ignore. I am looking forward to a summer of reading and crafting with a bit of travel to see family.

Happy Monday! Hugs and prayers for all you peas that are having a hard time. Not much happening today so far. I had two M's classes today and several more this week. It's been glooming and cool for the last few weeks and I am not complaining. I am loving the cooler weather but it has interrupted our tennis. But I am ok cause when it warms up I will miss these temps. Paige Evans has more virtual classes scheduled. I might sign up for another one this Summer. justjac -Glad to hear you had students and hope the end of the year wrap up goes well. Do you teach all the subjects or just one? joyfulnana- I hope you found some fun stuff at Joann! I went there a while ago and got some pp and a stamp set. I ordered a Maggie Holmes card kit I got last month. Great prices there.

justjac , so nice to hear from you. I'm sure you are getting ready for Summer break. I like the idea of a pool in the backyard. I hope you enjoy it. Are there any more plays in your near future? Sending hugs to your DH. Grieving can take so much strength. Take care of him and yourself. kellyr21 , I love hearing about your classes. I'm glad you are enjoying Paige's classes. I love using her cut files. It has been overcast and a bit chilly here lately with afternoon/evening showers. It has been nice, but I know it will get hot soon. joyfulnana , hugs to you. I hope you will drop by, if only to read. Give yourself some good care and return when you are ready. Hugs to you and your DS. kitbop , have you settled back into the routine since your return. You have had so much emotional turmoil lately. I hope you are taking some time to relax and have joy with your family. Hugs to all of you. Linda , I quickly glanced through the Sharing thread and saw that you really took advantage of the double points weekend. You have some wonderful layouts posted. I will try to get to that thread today to take a closer look. I have 3 layouts to post, but haven't scanned them yet. I'm still working, working, working in the basement. I have taken 2 big loads to donate and have filled our trash cans the last 2 weeks. It is looking so much better. grammadee , I know how busy you are once it's gardening season. I hope you still have some time for scrapping. I am loving all the fun things you have done with the pastes and stencils. I'm glad you were able to attend your DGD's graduation. gramma , if you are here reading, we are all sending out deepest sympathies and well wishes for you and your family. I hope you can feel the love come through as we express our heartfelt wishes for comfort and strength for you. Big hugs! knutschen , Happy Travels! Happy Birthday! Anj called yesterday, with apologies in her voice, but was calling for the kids who really want to do Cousin Camp again this year. I had just about decided that they were getting too old and probably wouldn't want to do it this year. Anj was afraid it was too much work with DH's radiation, etc. The kids said they didn't need a theme (but had one if we wanted,LOL) but they really wanted the hobo dinners, the tea party (? ? ?), the sleepover and just playing with grandma and grandpa. So it is on and I am getting things ready for a couple of craft activities. I have to take DH to a the dentist this afternoon, so I will do a bit of shopping for supplies while he is there. It will be pretty laid-back this year, but they will have fun together. Have a nice week, Pokeys! It's always so nice to come here and see your avatars popping up. You are all the BEST!

Happy Wednesday, Pokeys! So sweet that your grands don't think they have outgrown cousin camp, nylene. I hope they--and YOU--have an awesome time together and that you get lots of photos. Spent yesterday in justjac's small city. Had the dealership who was updating some stuff on my vehicle drop me off at the LSS where I scrapped a few pages. Nothing fancy, nylene. Didn't want anything wet to have to dry before packing up to go home. Printed some pic's, ran some errands, then met justjac for a quick supper and then book club. I spent this morning setting up a new printer I picked up yesterday, posting the pages I put together yesterday (including finishing them off and photographing them), putting those pages into my Winter album. Had pages from before that needed to be stowed in the Spring album, so did that too. I am now out of empty albums, so ordered some on line. Still have the rhubarb to deal with, but projected temps tomorrow and Friday are supposed to be lower than today's, so going to leave it until I won't bake US as well as the crisps!

grammadee , I loved having a big patch of rhubarb when I was young. We picked the stalks and chewed on them all day. My favorite was rhubarb cobbler that mom made often. What are you going to do with it once it's cooked? I'm glad you got to scrap a bit while waiting for your car. I love your new hockey pages. The expressions on your grand's faces are priceless; determination and exhilaration! Glad you got to spend some time with justjac . When Anj called about Cousin Camp, DGS was in the car and suggested a theme of Hawaii, pineapple, etc., if I needed a theme. I dropped into the dollar store yesterday and they had rows of pineapple shaped cups with straws, leis, Luau stuff, etc. I picked up just enough things to make it look like we had a theme and I think they will have a fun time. Then last night Tori called for her 16 yr old son who wondered if we were having Cousin Camp. She said, "Do you want to go to CC?" He replied that he wanted to drive his new (to him) truck over to show the cousins his new talent...driving. LOL He and his older sister are both working but both want to come if work doesn't interfere. I finished another page this morning. I will post it in the gallery and sharing thread. Then I think my scrapping will come to an end until after the kids leave.

grammadee - you've been super busy as always! I saw your hockey pages and need to go back and comment. I'm envious of rhubarb - it doesn't grow this far south and while I used to be able to get it frozen at the grocery, they haven't had it in ages. I was spoiled as a teen - we had a huge rhubarb patch in the garden. nylene - awww how sweet that they still love cousin camp. I hope it won't be too much for you but I know you'll enjoy the time with them - and all the photos! You've been working hard in the basement - that's a wonderful gift you are giving your children by clearing stuff out that you no longer need. Between cleaning out my mum's house and having helped her clean out my grandparents and great Aunt's - I'm certainly trying to keep up with the clutter and not holding on to stuff...it's a battle though. kellyr21 - you sure keep busy with all those classes - how fun! Sorry about the tennis DD had her physical today - she leaves Sunday morning for Georgia and North Carolina - backpacking, whitewater rafting, canyoneering etc...for a week. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next Thursday and the doctor wants me on a low-fibre diet starting Saturday (and then liquids only on Wednesday)...not looking forward to that at all but Dad had colon cancer so I know it's important. I have a few projects I want to work on while she's gone -some genealogy and some scrapbooking as well as a deep clean in her bathroom and bedroom.

Hi Pokeys, I haven’t stopped by the thread for a while. gramma I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you! joyfulnana and kitbop thinking of both of you as well. Sounds like lots of rest and tlc is needed for the both of you this summer. Take care of yourselves. linda sounds like your daughter already has a fun summer planned. I am jealous of her adventures!! Good luck with your procedures. nylene cousin camp sounds so fun. How many kids will be attending this year? My mom looks forward to doing something similar, she calls it Camp Sara. We will see if that pans out in the future! grammadee and justjac glad to see you are doing well! I’m finally home after being away for 2 ish weeks. We went to the east coast to visit my husbands family, which was very fun but exhausting. Then the party didn’t stop because my mom was hosting a baby shower up in my hometown. She’s coming down here to SoCal to help me organize the baby items this weekend, and we have a 1st bday party for one of my cousins kids. DH and I got a new car, a Honda CRV, so that was also very exciting! We had been sharing a car (old Prius) for years, but I am looking forward to having two cars and also really happy with our choice of vehicle. This weekend, after the bday party, we have to go back up to my hometown with my mom (5 hour drive) to pick up the Prius, which we left there. It feels rather busy lately but I am grateful for being able to spend so much time with both of our families the past few weeks. There’s really no update on the baby, I’m 25 weeks now so I am feeling lots of movement which I love. However, sometimes that baby likes to lodge itself in my ribs or something which is a little uncomfortable, especially when I’m in the car for so long. I’m thinking this may be our last trip for a while!

scrappyrabbit, what a busy month you have had. What fun to be able to spend time with both families. How exciting that your baby is moving a lot. Sorry he/she likes to wedge up against your ribs. They can get into all kinds of weird positions. Congrats on the 2nd car. I remember my excitement when DH got a work truck and that meant I had a car at home with the kids. Take care of yourself. It's nice to have you back! We will only have 4 the whole time at cousin camp, but have 2 older kids who will come between jobs. We have had as many as 12 at a time over the years. They just grow up too fast! The great-grands are still way too small!

Happy Thursday! Waving hi to you all. My classes have been going well this week. I have a cooking class later this afternoon. I hope all this cooking inspired me to get in my kitchen and try some new things. grammadee and nylene- I don't think I have ever had rhubarb before. What does it taste like? nylene- So glad your dgks want to do CC again. I hope it isn't too much work for you but I do it know it is great fun and medicine for you all. linda- How are your fur babies doing these days? Recently, I have been watching these Great Dane service dog puppies on YT. So cute!

kellyr21, rhubarb is deliciously tart. It has huge leaves, which you discard. And you eat the stalks, usually cut into chunks and then baked with alot of sugar, but like nylene, I remember as a kid chewing on the crunchy raw stalks. My dMIL used to make rhubarb jam, and many people around here make strawberry rhubarb pie. I also love "stewed" rhubarb (basically just slowly boiled with sugar and then eaten either warm or cold as dessert). Today was cool, so I was able to do some baking: made two gluten free crisps that I can freeze for dd, and two upside down cakes with rhubarb and spice cake. I will freeze one of those, as well, but cutting into one of them for dessert for supper...

grammadee - stewed rhubarb is my favourite - dh prefers strawberry-rhubarb pie though. kellyr21 - the kitties are doing great. Dusty and Paddington are 2 now and still very playful. Mini is 13 but thinks he's a kitten like the others - they are keeping him young

kellyr21 , I totally agree with grammadee on the taste of rhubarb. I really don't like tart flavors but as a child I loved to chew on tart stalks of rhubarb. Mom made strawberry/rhubarb jam, but the family favorite was always rhubarb cobbler. I don't remember ever eating just stewed rhubarb, but I'm sure it would be great. I know it takes a lot of sugar to make it taste sweet and tasty. I am making a lot of headway on my basement. I think I overdid it a bit yesterday and will take it a little easier today. I have until next Thursday to finish all I want to do before the kids come. I went through my big file of cardstock scraps last night and got rid of a whole bag of bits and pieces. I hope to do the same for patterned paper scraps today. I always turn to the scraps when making a project, but just don't seem to be using them fast enough. Have a great weekend, Pokeys.

Hi Pokeys This weekend has been a bit of recovery for me - my first chance to sleep 8 hours in a long time - and I'm picking away at chores without trying to pressure myself (the house is SO upside down and dirty! ) Our Poppy puppy has earned the nicknames "Popcorn" and "Sodapop" because she is full of jump and fizz. Very different from the schnauzer we lost 3 months ago which is good because we in no way want to replace our beloved Scout. We're glad for our one cat and our other dog who are playing with Poppy lots and helping use up the energy! Linda - you would get a real laugh to see how our 2 year old cat wrestles and chases this puppy! He's never been able to play with our other cats - they just aren't that type. He's 10 lbs, Poppy is 5 lbs, so it's still a fair match nylene - What a great feeling that the kids still need a cousin camp! Imagine the memories they hold. Please be careful with your back while working in the basement. kellyr21, Ooh, rhubarb is a very distinct taste - I LOVE it. Stewed rhubarb is a great childhood memory (on vanilla ice cream please) but it's expensive to buy so I don't make it. A rhubarb crumble tho is a must a few times every spring! I can't imagine chewing on it raw. It is so tart it makes your mouth feel dry! scrappyrabbit - congrats on the new CRV! Glad you had a fun East coast trip. It does sound like you are very busy!

Good Monday morning, Pokeys. How was your weekend? Dd & dgs were here Saturday and Sunday. (dsil has already left for his new posting). I helped her unpack boxes of kitchen equipment and dinnerware/glassware. Dh checked out their hot water tank. Then they came here and planted one last row of potatoes. We had a wiener roast on the yard Saturday evening. Then yesterday we attended a local communitiy club's Fathers Day Dinner before they headed off to the home they still live in (sans most of the furniture and other stuff). Sounds like your dd has a wonderful adventure ahead of her, Linda . One ds's family just returned from Orlando to the Calgary area, and landed right into minor ball wind up activities. Ddil has been posting so many fun photos my fingers are itching to start on them. Sounds like Poppy is settling in nicely, kitbop . If you can call that level of activity "settling" LOL. Dh was puppy sitting at the neighbours' while they were away for the weekend and he took dgs with him on Sunday morning. Husky/collie cross puppies, 8 weeks old. Now dgs is scheming for how he and mom can take one of them home. I think if they were not in the middle of a move dd may have caved. I haven't seen the puppies IRL, but the pic's of those fur balls are really cute. nylene I hope you don't wear yourself out with cleaning the basement. You have Cousin Camp to host! The hawaiian theme sounds perfect: glad you could grab some props from the dollar store. scrappyrabbit , I hope you are all rested up from your time with family. kellyr21 what classes are you taking this week?
Thinking of you, gramma, hoping you have been able to soak up the love and comfort coming to you from friends and family over the past week and that you can store some of it up to sustain you over the future as everyone else goes back to their "normal" lives. Late last week, Dh finished the repair he needed to do on the rototiller and worked up the garden between the rows. I was going to head out this morning to pull weeds around the plants, but after over an inch of rain during the night that won't be happening for a day or two. I guess the weather gods want me to scrapbook LOL! I have a two pager laid out on the counter waiting for me to build a couple of frames for accents, then finish the title and journaling and embellishings. Whatever you are up to, I hope you are having a good start to your week.

Happy Monday! Waving hi and hope you all had a nice weekend. grammadee I do have lots of classes this week. Today was knitting. I decided to try it over the weekend and it is hard. I have never tried it before so just like crocheting, it will take some practice. Also, this week I have drawing and several other classes. This might be my busiest week with classes. So I am gonna pace myself. Still working on my scrapping and art. Maybe this week I will finish the lo I started. I just need to get the pictures printed at hoe or the store. grammadee- The rain is giving you more days to stay in and scrap! Is everything planted at this point or do you still have things to plant? linda- Sounds like you are busy organizing and cleaning. I need to do some of that, too. kitbop- Poppy sounds so sweet and cute. I am glad she is brings some joy and happiness to you and your family these days. nylene- How are the preparations going for CC? Wish I could come by and help you? kitbop, nylene, grammadee- Thanks for the rhubarb descriptions. Maybe the next time I see rhubarb pie I will at least taste it. Sounds yummy especially as a dessert. joyfulnana- Waving hi and hope you are hanging in there!

grammadee - how lovely that you're able to help them get unpacked and settled in - when is the final move-in? Living between two houses is tough. Glad that your dh was able to fix the rototiller - sorry about the rain but yay for scrappy time. kellyr21 - knitting is such a nice skill to have - and not one I've learnt...my dd23 knits though - she learnt over lockdown. I'm making progress on the photo sorting and labelling but it's a big project. Hoping to get through another box today...which I think (hope) is the last box of random photos. Then I get to work on the individual years - making sure the photos are labelled DD16 has been sending photos - she seems to be having a wonderful time.

Linda, I'm sorry that things had to be replanned for DD due to weather. I'm sure she will still have a wonderful time. You have done so much photo sorting. How many more boxes do you have. That's a big job. kellyr21, I would love to see what you are doing with knitting. I was never a very good knitter. Being a lefty, no one wanted to teach me and I just kind of taught myself right-handed. I taught each of my girls and years later when Tori wanted to make a knitted blanket and needed some advice from a neighbor in Georgia, the woman helping her asked why she was knitting left-handed. Oops, I guess I taught myself AND my girls to knit left-handed. I was never very good at it. kitbop, I'm glad your new little family member is settling in. My DGD just got a puppy and was complaining about how much time she was spending with him. Made me think of you and your little Poppy. So much fun, but requires time! grammadee, when will DD be moving in permanently. I know you will enjoy having them close and she will love being close to her mother. And of course, DGS will be in heaven being close to gramma and her scrapping supplies. gramma, you are in my prayers each day and my heart is sending you hugs. joyfulnana, hope you are doing better. Take it easy. I wish I had another week to prepare for Cousin Camp. DH and I practiced making the Garden Stepping stones and they turned out really pretty. I think it will be fun for the kids. We are also working on modifying some boxes so they can make their own music boxes. I think I have most of the activities ready, but I need to finish the house cleaning tomorrow and Thurs. and do the food shopping on Friday or Sat morning. The basement is looking great, but now I need to spruce up the upstairs. Also need a quick trip tomorrow to JoAnn's and then I can relax. We are having a BIG family gathering and BBQ at Tori's on Sat. afternoon and CC starts Monday morning. I am looking forward to having them all arrive. I will probably not get a minute to check in until Tues or Wed. Have a great weekend, everyone.

nylene - cousin camp is a big project but the memories will be treasured by your grandchildren in years to come. Looking forward to seeing the layouts you make with the photos gramma - you are in my prayers as well. ((((Hugs))) nylene - I remember that my mum also struggled with knitting - she was lefthanded too. I have a photo somewhere of the ONE sweater she made for me...it barely fit by the time she finished it and I remember her telling me that our neighbour who was teaching her had a hard time not taking it over. My aunt though, she knitted all the time - she even took her knitting with her caravanning - she was fast I think I have all the photos sorted into mostly years (some are mixed like 2002-2003 though). Now I'm starting with 2019 and working my way backwards sorting each year into the Iris photo cases...and making sure that the physical photos are all labelled (and that the digital versions are also. I will have some mystery photos when I'm done that I'll have to try and figure out...not sure how much success I'll have with the really old ones that aren't labelled at all. I think I have a dozen of the photo cases (with the 16 smaller cases in each) so it's a big process.

Sounds like a busy time ahead for you, nylene . Hope you aren't run too much off your feet and have the energy just to enjoy all the fun and excitement, soak up the memories--and capture a few on your camera. Linda , sorting and organizing are tasks I do NOT enjoy. But scrapping with sorted photos is much more enjoyable than going on a frantic search like I end up doing in the middle of the scrapping process, looking for the pic I KNOW I have. Glad you are getting pic's from your dd. My ds and ddil are in Vegas this week with their dd who turns 21 today. I am really hoping for some pic's from them. Glad you got some rest, kitbop . Hope you will be attacking life with your usual energy soon. Would love to see your knitting projects, kellyr21 . I am another non knitter. As a teen, I mastered the mechanics of a couple of stitches, but could never get an even tension on the wool, so anything I created looked pretty gnarly. My dd and a couple of dgd's had fun with those knitting frames for making doll clothes, but they weren't around when I was trying my hand with needlecrafts. Dd & dgs will be moving out here permanently mid July. Until then, he is finishing school, and she has some work commitments and childcare arrangements where they are now for the first two weeks in July. I think they are staying there this weekend so she can continue packing and he can hang out with friends. I am heading up there Monday to stay a couple of nights next week while she has a long in-person day quite a distance from their home. Will be coming back with a load of boxes in my suv to be unpacked when they arrive on the long weekend.
Another gloomy wet day here. I wish it would just rain a bunch and then clear off, not dribble moisture at us in fits and starts. The garden needs weeding, but has not dried enough between showers for me to get out there. By the time it does dry enough, the weeds will be WAY ahead of anything else! I think I will head into town to do my grocery shopping and errands today instead of tomorrow or Friday. I may be able to sneak up on those weeds when they don't expect me.
