This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items or any other creative projects. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . If you are doing the Team Challenges, this challenge is worth one point for each page/project when you complete all 4. So that's 4 points for completing the Pokey Pea Challenge.

Hello, Pokeys! Welcome to June. If you haven't added up your points for May, now is a good time to do it before you start June's projects. I am one of the procrastinators but hope to add them up tomorrow. Linda, I'm sorry to hear that you are having health issues. Sleep is sooo vital. I hope the change in medication can help you. Hugs. I am looking forward to warmer weather this month. It seems like winter was very long this year! Come drop in and chat a while. It's always so nice to see your avatars popping up!

Thanks, nylene for hosting this each month. I know this will be a busy one for you. Looking forward to hearing about all the fun when the CA family hits town. Got our plants and seeds into the garden today, so hopefully I can scrap tomorrow. The veggies we planted a couple of weeks ago are up, but so are the weeds and the weeds are growing faster! Will need to get out there with a hoe soon, but not tomorrow. Happy JUNE, Pokeys!

I got a text yesterday that made me revise my plans and head to my aunt's bedside. She looked kinda the same...but my spidey sense was tingling. I spent the night beside her at hospice - my cousins and uncle happily left her in my care and left to sleep at home. She passed at about 6:30am - I woke up at 6:20 and checked on her; and when I woke again at 6:40 she was gone. Called my cousin to gently break the news to my uncle, and spent the rest of the morning crying and making further plans. Drove home, went out to a late lunch with DH, had an alcoholic bevvie (not my thing normally, but felt it might be a good time for it). Terribly sad, but I'm glad her she is at peace and whole again. grammadee - glad you are planted up! Bought my veggies and will supervise DS while he plants this evening. He really wanted to do potatoes this year, but it's SO ground intensive that I said no. Gotta pack my bags and we're off to BC tomorrow. I won't be on the boards much, but I'll try to pop around daily! Linda - you need to train Dusty to be a blood sugar alert cat That is super scary really! Thanks nylene and kellyr21 for thinking of me. DH said at lunch, "It would me nice to go a month without losing something we love"

kitbop, I am so very sorry for your loss. I, too, am glad she is at peace, but it is still so hard for those left behind. I hope your trip to BC will help you keep your mind on other things. Your Aunt is so blessed to have had not only her own family, but her niece there with her so much. Glad you were there when she passed. I'm sure she patted you on the head and said, "Thanks", as she left. Hugs, and more hugs! Have a safe trip.

Hello Pokeys.
Dd & family are heading to their new home with a truck & trailer and an SUV stuffed with stuff. I will meet them with a few things they need from here. Dgs wanted to go to a local event--pancake breakfast and car show--so I will be ferrying him to that. Not sure where they plan to stay tonight. Guess it depends on how many beds they get put together...

grammadee - love all the Clue related embellishments on your layout! Safe travels to your DD and family - moving is so much work. DH got me three more of the old style Recollection cubes at the indoor flea market - full of cardsock, paper pads, patterned paper, and page/collection kits...oh my! Also two Sizzlet alpha sets. I'm still sorting through it all...and will be for a while.

You take the most interesting classes kellyr21 - how fun! I've gotten all of my new goodies sorted and put away and I scrapped this afternoon. Poor DH is sick and it's rainy outside so a good day to be lazy and play with paper.

Those classes sound like alot of fun, kellyr21. Glad you had time to play with paper, Linda. Dgs has tomorrow off school and I have promised him that we will be making cards. I had planned to give him my Cuttlebug at some time, and since the card design he chose has butterflies on it, I think I will do that tomorrow and he can use it with some of my butterfly dies. We'll see.

grammadee , how did your card making day go? I'm sure your DGS had a great time. kitbop , I hope you have found things well in BC. Best wishes as you make decisions about things in your mother's house. Hugs to you as you mourn. kellyr21 , it was fun spotting your layout in the Trending section of scrapbook dot com. I don't get over there often anymore, but like to look at their trending and featured layouts occasionally. I'm glad you are enjoying your classes. Do you have any more scrapbook pages in progress? Linda , how nice to have a whole bunch of new scrapping supplies. Your husband is an amazingly thrifty shopper! Enjoy your goodies! My first page for June: You Should See My Heart

(((hugs))) kitbop, I'm so sorry for your loss. I agree with your DH, surely enough is enough. Don't forget to take care of yourself. grammadee how exciting that the kids are here! I hope with them being close, it will take some of the stress off from all the travel between houses. Linda how fun that DH brought you home so many new supplies! It would be so fun going through it all and getting it put away. Things are pretty turbulent for me right now, both at work and personally. It's not leaving me with a lot of bandwidth for much. I'm not sure how much I'll be around for the next little while. I haven't been scrapping much and none at all really since the pea crop. But I didn't want to just disappear on ya all Waving hi to everyone! I hope it's a good week!

Linda , I am so sorry about your DS's luggage. Nice to know it's in the same country at least. I hope he gets it before he leaves for home! I'm glad your DH is getting better each day and hope that continues. Does he have Covid symptoms? I am hearing about an increase in cases since school let out. I hope we escape. We need to get a booster, but DH may have to wait until his radiation ends in August. Our DS sent me this cute photo and I couldn't wait to scrap it. It went right to the top of the pile. Super simple layout, but it's done. & Gracee makes 4 by Nylene Budge, on Flickr Just ignore the dot by the pacifier. It was a Nuvo drop on my scanner!

Thanks, Linda. I managed one card yesterday. He put together a couple— one of them based on the accordion album fold I had used on a grad card. He went to town with my Father’s Day stickers on the pages. You can see the butterflies on the birthday card.

Happy Wednesday! Waving hi to you all! We went to our city's Greek Festival last Sunday and it was fun. The best part was the tour of the church. It was so breathtaking with all the architecture and paintings. Can't wait to share some of the pictures with you. The guide explained all the meanings and history of the art and this particular church. Although the church was built in the early 2000's it felt like we were in Greece in one of the ancient building. It was so peaceful in there. I could of staying in there all afternoon. Also, the had lots of food, music, vendor booths and a kids area. Ron said he saw a pig in the little petting zoo who was stretched out on the ground pooped probably from all the kids playing with him. LOL! nylene- Your family is just so adorable!!!! Congrats again and I know you gotta be so elated with the new addition. Thanks for the cheers over at Scrapbook dot com. I have been happy to see my layouts in the trending section. Yes, I am working on another Paige layout from the first class I took back in March. I am using my first cut file she sent and excited to see how it turns out. kitbop joyfulnana linda Sending a pray and a smile to you ladies. grammadee- How fun to share your passion with your dgs. So cool!

kellyr21 , your visit to the Greek festival sounds like a fun and relaxing day. I'm glad you had a good time. I am loving your layouts and look forward to the new one you are doing. I love Paige Evans cut files and just used one on this page. Filling the candles and flames was kind of a pain, but I'm glad I did it. Triple the Fun

Thinking of you, kitbop and joyfulnana and gramma . Hoping all is going as smoothly as possible for you this week. nylene and Linda , I hope to get to the Gallery and the sharing thread to leave some love for your creations. Looking forward to seeing what you did with this last sketch class and the earlier Paige class, kellyr21 . I managed a couple of pages the other day and a few cards today. But have been pretty busy. It is Seniors' Week in Alberta so there have been several small evants put on by various agencies. We have been to a pancake breakfast and a hot dog dinner, and then dh attended a second hot dog meal today and plans to attend a hamburger bbq tomorrow. This evening our Seniors' club is having its own wrap up event. They have ordered pizzas which we will be picking up, and some of us have made desserts. I have a no bake cherry cheesecake ready to go. And then there is the garden. I finished the first major weeding today, and dh has it half watered, planning to finish this evening and early in the morning. We had about half an inch of rain on the weekend, but it has been pretty hot the last few days, so the moisture has mostly evaporated. Looks like we may have veggies at three different stages of development: some got going right after the seeds went into the ground. Some are just poking their heads out now after the rain and the heat, and the rest will probably jump start themselves after this watering. Dh has some appointments in town tomorrow, so I hope I can put together one last fathers' day card and maybe put a page or two together. Gotta make the most of DOUBLE POINTS!

kellyr21 - jealous of your Greek Festival - there isn't one near us but I love Greek food and music - probably because I lived in Cyprus when I was a kid for a couple of years so grew up with it. grammadee - you've been busy! All the senior events sound fun! I had planned to scrapbook all day but spent most of the morning on the phone with D23 and most of the afternoon chatting in person with dd16...I did get DH's father's day present done though.

Happy Thursday! Waving hi to you gals and hope today has been good for you. My day is ok so far. I picked up Italian food for dinner and went to Ms. I have three new classes this afternoon. Cooking, watercolors and a coloring class I found on Eventbrite. I'll see if they make my weekly rotation. nylene- Your birthday lo is so sweet. I love the candles and the little white light you added. I am going to work on my cut file to see how to glue and cut . Looks a little tricky. grammadee- Glad to hear it has warmed up in your area. I hope your garden thrives this season. Do you sell the veggies or just for your family? linda- You would of loved the Greek festival especially since you have a history with the culture. We have a Greek community here and it is cool to experience it at this event. They used to have a music event hosted by the city and I got to hear lots of Greek music. I hope they have that even again this year.

I thought I would stop by quickly and say Hi! I have been busy with work and getting ready for my trip.
My divorce was final on May 9th. It was super quick and everything went well. My ex-husband got an apartment just 1 mile from my house. We still talk but he needs to learn to give me space.
Tomorrow, I leave for Costa Rica! This trip is to celebrate my birthday which is next Tuesday. It is a big birthday so I wanted a big adventure! I am excited about visiting the rainforest. I spent the majority of yesterday packing. I just have last-minute stuff to make sure that is done. I have to be at the airport around 4:45 AM. I should be there around noon.
I am on vacation till June 29th. I will have to check in when I get back!
