Am I the only one who gets overwhelmed with Christmas/holiday scrapbooking? I really want to make another December Daily album but there are so many choices and December is a crazy busy month for us! I usually don't end up doing any scrapbooking that month, except for my DT assignments. I should get my act together and pre-plan my pages to make it easier. This year, I really want to prioritize a DD album. My oldest son will be a senior and I want to document his last Christmas at home as a kid before he heads off to college. My kids have more or less left home, and I think the full December Daily album days have ended worth 2022. That may not even have a full set of 25 days by the time I call it complete. I think I'll be buying very few items this year and pulling on my Christmas stash this year to start what will be a December album that will get filled with one of a small handful of layouts rather than an annual album. It feels Pretty good to acknowledge I'm ready to do just whatever

Are there any companies that haven't posted previews or anything yet?
I'm actually in need of Christmas paper, and so far nothing is screaming at me that they are "the one."

Foam stickers (Fancy Pants)? Why do I feel like those will be turning yellow and rotting off the page in a few years. All I am picturing is little foam flecks all over the age and sticking to the page protector as it breaks down. Love the designs, but not the foam. Ugh Steven Duncan did it again. Love that release but I love everything he does, but not a multi colored stripe paper. I realized using his collections from the past I need a multi colored stripe paper for my layouts. Ugh.

From the US, we are still expecting a few like Pinkfresh, Crate Paper, the DCWV paper pads, possibly an AC-branded collection, Prima Marketing and some more I can't quite think of right now. Like you, I haven't found the one just yet. I like a few elements from the Paige Evans line but I'm waiting to see what else is coming. Elsewhere, Christmas collections are often revealed significantly later. I know most European scrap companies wait until October-ish to show theirs.

So no Ali Edwards, Crate Paper (although American Crafts has released some lines), Paper Person, and I really like to pick up a few things from Elle's Studio. Freckled Fawn also has basics like Elle's Studio. I'm sure there's a bit more to come. I'm thinking Citrus Twist and other smaller companies who do monthly-ish releases.

I think the foam stickers are just foam Thickers minus the AC branding. AC no longer does chipboard stickers, just foam mounted with cardstock (like the alpha Thickers + icon/phrase Thickers in the Paige Evans Christmas line). I do worry about how that will break down long-term compared to regular chipboard. But I'm pretty sure the Fancy Pants foam stickers are the same kind of product. It's the norm nowadays. Only a few brands are sticking with chipboard (but for how much longer?).

I don't like the foam as much because I always end up bending my favorite sticker on a sheet trying to remove it and then it has an ugly crease. User error, but still annoying. I suppose it must be cheaper but yuck.

CHRISTMAS TIME by Echo Park Paper ( ACOT - non affiliate link) (discussed in PaperAngel's thread here) The classic red & green done with subtle shades, resulting in a soft, gentle effect. This EPP collection is flying a bit under the radar but looks very usable and easy to mix with generic Christmas pattern papers and embellishments. It's giving Carta Bella in terms of elegance and I low-key like it. Not out there, not in your face, but a reliable choice (especially with that bright white background). The collection also comes with a 6x8 album for the DD-ers. Love those peachy cheeks on Santa!

WHITE CHRISTMAS by Mintay Papers ( ACOT - non affiliate link) (discussed in PaperAngel's thread here) Mintay has stolen Prima Marketing's whitewashed-antiques-for-Christmas crown! Loads of light shades, including true white and pale mint with just touches of green and red. Traditional icons with a focus on woodland creatures and the outdoors. It's fresh, soft and just right for vintage fans who like pastels and delicacy.

EP Christmas time might be the winner for me. I SO want the album but we're headed to Williamsburg VA for 2 weeks at Christmas and that album will not suffice.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. The Santa, especially, has my heart. He looks so kind and gentle. And how exciting to be going on a trip for Christmas! Do you get to have all your kids for the 25th again this year?

Yes - we're actually going to visit the big kids (and bring them a cat -we're fostering one for them and delivering it at Christmas - she arrives later this month). I didn't actually have them ON the 25th last year -the older two arrived on the 27th but that's no biggie for us - we just celebrated twice.

None of these are really my style, but they will work well with several Christmases from years past, both the colors and the styles I think. Need to grab my holidays albums (just photos) to see what will work and order my favorite pieces from the lines. Foam stickers (Fancy Pants)? Why do I feel like those will be turning yellow and rotting off the page in a few years. I am the same way. Or some sort of simple repeating pattern with all/most of the colors in the line. I’m the same way with decorating, I like a print or fabric that brings all the colors of the room together. And I like streamlined so it’s often stripes.

Scrapbook.com has the new Paige Evans collection, Sugarplum Wishes, and I have to admit, I bought most of it. It was late at night, I couldn't sleep, and I went a little crazy shopping and it all ended up in my cart!
It really is a lovely collection and I plan to use it to scrap last year's Christmas. I have enough photos for 10(ish) layouts and I plan to use this collection for most of those layouts. The stitched trees and acrylic sweaters are my favorite!

I think I got two of the papers. It should be here soon as ACOT shipped it out yesterday.

I think I'm going to browse Frantic Stamper for some old lines this year. I used some older Kaiser Craft paper last year, and We R Memory Keepers (shaped paper) and really liked the layouts I made with them. I also liked Simple Stories Ugly Christmas Sweater from a few years ago but it was a smaller collection... they need to make Ugly Christmas Sweater 2! For some reason nothing new is making me excited... or it's card making paper and only comes in a 6 by 6 pad

I know chipboard Thickers are notorious for not sticking, but the foam ones do. I read that this is because there is no give to the chipboard ones. If you bend the paper a little, the foam/puffy ones will bend too, but if you bend the paper slightly with the chipboard ones, they don't bend so the adhesive loses contact with the paper.

And here is Scrapbook.com's 6x8 paper pad for Christmas, Noel, loaded with soft, peachy colours: If the papers were sized to match 6x8 page protectors, I probably would've gotten this. Love some of the designs a whole lot and I feel like it's one of those pads I could dip in year after year to find a couple of sheets to use along with whichever collection I'd chosen.

I don't think we have seen anything from Doodlebug or Bella Blvd yet either. Hopefully Cocoa Vanilla will have a new holiday collection this year too.

The greens are not my favorite but also not the worst, muted rather than drab, hopefully. This is so different from the bright cheery candy colored Paige Evans collection but I like both. I just watched a cardmaker use the SS mix and a-mingle 6x8 paper pad from last year and decided I had to buy it. I think I liked it last year but never got around to actually buying it. It looked like fun so I found someone selling it on Etsy and decided to go for it. I guess I should go look at the Paige collection and see if I want to get that too, or if I delay until later in the year when I've used up the Christmas collections I have on hand.

I bought a few pieces of Mix-a-Mingle last year and used it. You know I love a retro look. I bought a few pieces of the Paige paper this year and a bunch of the embellishments. It's cloudy right now like it's going to storm. If it clears up I'll try to take some photos. It's much better in person. The acetate sheet with the poinsettias is amazing. Like ridiculous.

I really love how saturated the colors are. Note I stayed away from the purples/lilacs as that's not my jam.
The acetate is freaking gorgeous. It's great quality, the colors are vibrant, and the foiling is so pretty.
I only slightly regret buying the trees embroidery kit because the last thing I need is more floss but it does match and I won't have to think about it but I'm very excited to stitch these little embellishments up. I see lots of uses for these in my DD.
The puffy stickers and tiny alphas are lovely. The floral die cuts are great. I won't use all of these but I think I'm going all out on the florals this year. We'll see. I started last year and I don't know where it's going to go.
Again with the papers, I didn't buy any of the lilacs but I'm super happy with what I got. I don't like every tag or every number on the cut apart sheets but will more than get my $1's worth as the b-sides are good too.
I went back and added the paperclips to my cart after I saw a real photo of them somewhere. The mockup they're using is not very appealing but I think they're cute and I love using stuff like that.
