My daughter was home this weekend and we played around with the MFT Something Sweet dies and stamps. Circular cards that will fit into an A2 envelope. Glossy accents on the sprinkles.

Just catching up on your cards! Shakti, you’ve been a busy card marker! MDscrapaholic, love what you did with the chickens, and especially the little GinaK “stamps” cards! cmpeter, all your TE cards are adorable and the round MFT cards are so fun. I’ve had my eye on that die set, do I or don’t I?!?

You don’t…because you can borrow mine. :-) Or you could just send her the cutout shapes and she can scan them into her new scan n cut to have whenever she wants to use them. Just a thought.

This is day four of vacation in Maine. I have assembled a set of four Club Scrap cards each morning. I have another one for tomorrow morning. Then the only thing left from either of the two kits is a set of four shaker cards, which I don't think I'll try and tackle here. I'll probably take photos tomorrow when I'm done. Then I only have preprinted coloring cards and Prismacolors. Or seeing how much progress I can make on the shaker set with equipment and supplies on hand.

Sunday: Monday: Tuesday (first pinwheel cards for me): Wednesday (also first wiper cards) one of these is already on its way to someone): This morning:
And now I am out of tape runner and not really planning a FOURTH trip to Michael's this vacation, so...fini. But I knew I wouldn't be able to actually finish the shaker cards anyway. At some point, I started consider the CS kits very carefully. Do all the cards stand up on display? Are there any fun folds that are just too over-the-top for my taste? Too much snark (there's usually at least a little)? All in addition to whether I like the colors/theme/etc. These are two kits I got around that time. More recently I've been focusing mostly on the themes and colors and committing to using these high quality materials more as collections rather than kits. I have to admit I haven't yet dug into any of the ones I've decided to use this way, though.

These are beautiful Shakti! They look fun! I didn’t know Club Scrap offered a card kit. I subscribed to their scrapbook kit a long time ago. Enjoy your vacation!

Yes, I was a subscriber way back when my elder child was tiny. Their kits at that time were mainly scrapbook-focused. Some months they threw in some cards, some months a stamp or stencil. I was very pleasantly surprised to rediscover them last year. They now have separate scrapbook and card kits monthly, plus add-ons like stamps sets and packs of panels (for cards or scrapbook mats). They has some special release kits that are non-subscription and card and page formulas you can buy and download that are separate from the kits and can be used with their papers or others. The paper and embellishments, as I'm sure you recall, MDscrapaholic, are first rate. I love that you get the full unboxing video far enough ahead of then the kit ships to skip the month with full knowledge and that you can skip two kits in a row anytime. You'll be automatically unsubbed after the third in a row, but can re-up at any time. The instructions are much more extensive than they were back in the day, too, with monthly video workshops and multipage PDFs. The cutting guides leave very few scraps, but different card sets will share a sheet of paper sometimes. I think the pinwheel cards are very cute and they were pretty easy, too, so I'm already mentally figuring out a cutting pattern for making them on their own. I've bought a few papers open stock to use with their formulas, of which I have a few, and some others with the intent to make SLoCs with them. I'm now trying to choose fewer kits, but get the stamps and the pack of panels whenever I do get a kit, so that I have plenty of material with which to "go off script."

I’m not very good at keeping track of time lately but I think about 3 weeks. I usually only work a few hours in the afternoons and I try to do something different on weekends.

Those tags drive me nuts too, joblackford . That's a great way to use them! I'll have to try that sometime! Love the cards! Thanks! The ones with a solid block of tags have dimensional ones hiding the ones that are landscape oriented. That was the bit that was annoying me most. I could cut them to a block that looked OK but there were always a few that were reading sideways! I used a few extra sideways ones to build up dimension behind the “featured” ones with the strings. No waste

Beautiful cards Shakti. I can't believe you made these on your vacation. Thank you. To be fair, CS card kits are no stamping required -- you can buy the coordinating stamps and replace the pre-printed artwork with your own stamping, but they're designed so that you don't need to. In this case, I didn't.

All your cards are really amazing. I need to come back here and leave some love for the specifics! Here are two cards I finished yesterday for birthdays next week. September bdays by Gramma Dee, on Flickr The cupcake was made with tools, materials and instructions from the spring C&C card class. The first responder card has envelopes inside with tags that hold a water gun (for putting out candle fires), shades (to block the light), aspirins (for possible hangover headache), and toothpicks (to hold his eyes open at work on the day after). Then there is an envelope with his cash.

Is that bottom one a fun fold? I missed this question before. No, that's a split front card. Maybe that does count as a fun fold?

Great cards Shakti. You are on a roll making so many cards. Thanks. I just reorganized my CS kits collections this past weekend. I am already starting to mentally backslide on my commitment to STOP following the directions and be more creative with them....
