Well, some of these are more life lessons:

1. To be absolutely clear about the things you type - leave nothing out, assume nothing about your audience. It has truly helped me be much clearer in my communications with others.
2. When to type, when to sit on your hands
3. that some people really like Parmesan cheese in green cans and I should never criticize it

1) Bake your cupcakes or muffins at 50° higher temp than the recipe calls for for the first five minutes then drop the oven down to the stated temp for the rest of the bake time, and fill them 3/4 full for taller baked goods.

2) Instant Pots and air fryers are awesome

3) It’s pretty rare for the Peas to not collectively know something about everything. 

Bonus) If a previously unnoticed thread gets to 10 pages or more, grab a drink and a snack and get comfortable because you’d better start at the beginning.

Ooh, I learned that too! 

My favorite Two Peas tip is that if you turn your device on airplane mode, an over due ebook from the library will stay on your device until you turn airplane mode off. I keep an old Kindle just for this purpose.

1. That a sous vide is an absolutely amazing kitchen tool.
2. Back in the day I learned a lot (and my mind was opened) by posts from our Mormon peas, and others with conservative viewpoints.
3. To log out and read only if I'm in a "mood" or agitated by something going on here.

The one that actually made me spit out me coffee was what do you do to maintain your Lady Garden. Being a horticulturalist, I thought it was a garden for woman kind of like a man cave for men.
OMG! I couldn’t believe how wrong I was!!! LOL!!!
That was never a thing for my generation!!! I laughed and laughed, page after page!!!

I also learned about the arrow by the gas tank on the dashboard. I actually taught that to my husband!

Lastly, I’ve gotten so many great recipes from 2 Ps!!!

As a Canadian, I have been educated on so many different ways of doing things, life in America and so much more!

1) That USA peas think that a smartie is actually what we call "Rockets".  Smarties are made (originally by Rowntree) Nestle and are better than M&M's because they melt in your mouth.  UK, Aussie & Canadian peas know the chocolate ones are tastier.

2) The many different recipes and dishes that seem to be in certain areas and the different names that mean the same thing.

3) Graduation parties from High School and the big hoopla that graduating from High School is.  Not a thing in my area nor has it been since 1965.  No open houses, no gifts, nothing because it is generally assumed that you do graduate from high school and then have a further education.  Even University graduation isn't a big celebration, that I am aware of.

4) How anal people get if you park in front of their house, if you are not visiting them.

5) Parking in front of a mailbox.  Houses here have small mailboxes either at their main door or in cluster boxes in the sub-division. Mail is delivered in person, usually on foot and not by a little car that drives on the wrong side of the door.

6) The variety that is available in absolutely everything!  10 or more kinds of TP and other items.  

7) That people actually eat that grey coloured sausage gravy 

8) Thanksgiving is more important than Christmas and some other peas think that Hallowe'en is ever a bigger holiday/celebration.
In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday of October. This is because the Canadian Thanksgiving is closely linked to the harvest festival we are more familiar with in the UK.

9) Aussie's use a bit more of a colourful language and use different words to describe things.  The Aussie food is more complicated than the food in North America.

10) A lot of personal stuff in the USA politics.  No one in Canada really cares about the family (well, Trudeau excepted  )
I don't even know who the Conservative Party (Pierre Poilievre) wife is or how many children he has.  Who cares?

11) Religion doesn't really play a part in our Canadian politics.  

12) Teachers are not paid very well in some parts of the USA.  Strong unions with teeth and teachers have excellent pay and benefits.

🤣🤣🤣 yes! Just the shampoo suds rinsing down and that's it! No cloth, just the passive action of some shampoo suds.
But hey, if her hubby likes it, the pheromones must be working.

Michigan born/raised and still living here. I have not heard of shredded chicken sandwiches...

1) i am not alone in being a public toilet FOOT flusher and it's okay

2) peas are very supportive to those going through a bad marriage, have a sick parent, or dealing with a death in the family (human or pet)

3) peas love a good scandal (bird-gate, hair flip-gate, any kind of -gate)

Me too. How did I miss this thread. I wonder if it meant chicken salad sandwiches, we use shredded chicken for those?
