it’s my godson’s first Christmas. I can’t figure out what to do right now. My other option is to use whatever I’m creating for the Crop & Create Holiday album class. It’s some SS Boho Christmas line. I’m not a boho person when it comes to scrapping though. I know Boho Christmas was poorly received on the board but I kind of like it. I think the soft colours are beautiful for a young child, too. The Santa in this collection looks very kind as well. There are a bunch of banners included in the embellishments. And that lovely set of retro numbers that I'll definitely buy. I feel like all those rainbow inclusions give it a childhood vibe so maybe one to consider for your December memories after all? Thanks for pointing out Boho Christmas. I might have missed it the first time around. Either way, today I really like it and it's on it's way to my house.

I might look for some stencils on Ali Express (I assume they have some - I feel like I've seen them there before?). But I am not going to pay $$$$$ for a whole package knowing I wont use most of them. If you need links, let me know. I bought a bunch last year. There are also some good ones on ACOT. Search for stencils and sort by price. They have some good ones on clearance. I got a set for like $4 and it's still there. It's a layered thing where each stencil adds a difference part of the design. I thought it was a fabric embellishment and put it in a pocket like a journaling card. 😆 I think I did the same thing as I can't find it for the life of me (but I did find the ink, unused, in the plastic bag it came in).

I am NOT a mixed media person so stencils and silkscreens are right up there with chipboard “magnetic poetry” for me 😂
Did anyone see the fabric circle embellishments today? Looks like burlap typed on with a typewriter. Oddly rustic.

The more I see of the DD shop items the less interested I am in the entire release. If something doesn’t show up that wins me over, I don’t think it’ll even be worth it for me to get an album during boxing period, due to the high flat rate shipping fee. I do like the stars one, (and don’t have the older one that I guess was similar), but I’m not going to pay over $40 for just an album, which is what it would end up being. Hmm.

Looks like burlap typed on with a typewriter. Oddly rustic. I have fabric that you can run through your ink jet printer. It's not as textured as those but I can definitely make my own version of these. I'm sure Ali is going to do something with them that I just love and will want to do.

So tomorrow is the day we'll see the prices? On the calendar it says preview full release or something. Then boxing period starts Tuesday.
I need to prepare myself for sticker shock.

So, the fabric canva circles are the new fabric word strips?

The "holly jolly" sentiment on the canvas circle reads "belly jelly" on my phone and well, yeah, that works too once you're done with all the feasting... 😂

I missed out on a few things I really wanted last year from AE release. But when it came down to the product play class, I realized I had enough in my stash to make it work.
I won’t be purchasing the stencils or silk screens. I have some Christmas ones in my stash that I can use. Same for the stamps. How many tree and tag stamps does a person need?
I did purchase some of Elle’s Studio line yesterday. The more I look at SS Boho Christmas, the more I like it.

All I do on here is complain, I apologize to those of you sick of me. I’m in a hard season of life right now, hate summer, daughter going back to school, massively expensive home repairs and projects. It’s just a lot right now. It will pass. But damn, I really needed this release to be a bright spot in this otherwise shitty month. Canvas circles are fine. Uninspired, boring as hell, and extremely easy to make at home. I’m enraged by the papers. I really like the JOY paper, or I would if one, just one JOY was fully on the paper. Who does that? Just why?
The Paislee Press kit sneak did not wow me either.

janamke I'm so sorry you're dealing with so many little (or not so little) fires right now. I get that you need something uplifting amidst the mess and chaos. I hope you end up finding something that makes you happy and excited for December, whether at AE or elsewhere. Hang in there!

The "how it works" post is up. Flat shipping is 29 dollars for us internationals. 13 dollars for US residents, 16 for Canadians.
My DD box is getting further away.

I’m on the fence with ordering too - it might be a good time to stock upon some albums etc as shipping is capped at $30 but I’ll have to see what they’re charging first for dd items, most of the stuff I like every year ends up in sales later on so sometimes it’s better if I wait! 🤭 But then I get fomo and miss out on opening a huge box of goodies which is my Christmas present to me as no one ever gets me things that I want for Christmas… when I say I’d love a voucher to a craft shop I mean it, I don’t want a clothing voucher or lingerie voucher or hardware voucher or… yep, grinch lg is joining the bah humbug train at the moment!

This is my query too - last year I found the price list super helpful in determining what I prioritised in adding to my cart. I have soooo much stash that I might even forgo new items and just stash bust as I haven’t been knocked out of the park yet. But I am a sucker for the advent calendar…

Just wondering if I’m reading it correctly. The stamps are basically a pre-order? I don’t have to checkout immediately?

All I do on here is complain, I apologize to those of you sick of me. Vent away! We've all been there. Christmas is a hard enough season without having other issues in your life going on. Buying this stuff and checking in with the peas, playing with paper, these get me through. And when the supplies don't do it for you, it sucks. But I am a sucker for the advent calendar… Same. I really hope it doesn't go up in price cause it's just stickers. It looks like they changed the packaging so maybe that will keep the price down.

The specialty paper pack is the only sneak that's really interested me so far. Some of the embellishments look like they might have promise. Looking forward to the full reveal, which I think is tomorrow?

Sigh. I added the two bundles and three stamps to my cart for Elle’s Studio. When I saw the $150 price tag, I just couldn’t do it. I still need to buy an album on top of that. I have so much stuff at home already! Printing digital supplies as I need them is looking more and more like the road I’ll be traveling down. My cart had that kind of price tag too. Then I started pulling things out I figured I could make myself or took a closer look at and decided I didn't actually like it as much as I thought I did. Being picky saves my pocket book a lot of grief!
I have ironed quilting cotton to freezer paper then run it through the printer before. I have a laser printer now so I'll have to research if that method would still work. Ali's circles feel like the labels to me with all the excess space. She's gonna stitch those on her project isn't she?

Wow, I chose the wrong day to skip reading this thread, lol. I just watched a Nicole Sphor cardmaking video with big number dies that she pointed out would work really well for Dec Daily projects. Sorry the picture is so huge! Each number is sold separately so you could just get the 2 and 5. The bundle is fairly pricey, but you get each number in two sizes and spelled out in two sizes too, so it’s got the potential to be very versatile for a lot of different projects. If you like dies… (cut files would be much cheaper) heroarts.com/products/wb1131-get-them-all-number-dies

So two shipping charges. ☹️

That is the upside of boxing period is you can keep ordering and adding to the box but only pay shipping one time.

Does anyone else feel like they want you to order the stamps by a set time so they know how many to make?

Does anyone else feel like they want you to order the stamps by a set time so they know how many to make? It seems every year they sell out of certain ones and then scramble to reorder. I think stamps have a big profit margin, so they are trying to capture as many sales as possible with as little excess lingering inventory as possible.
