Well, I caved. I’ve never bought anything from Ali’s December Daily release but I regretted not getting the floral album last year. So I grabbed the green 6x8 album. I’m not planning on doing a separate album this year (and I’m resisting the urge to give in to FOMO) but I figured I could save it for next year. I am an absolute sucker for a well done floral/foliage pattern. I kinda feel guilty for paying that shipping, but I am going to keep an eye out for older stuff to be added at a reduced price and might take advantage. I’m having very mixed feelings about my purchase and I’m trying to justify it, obviously. Well, you've come to the right place

I kept waffling on the shaped pages and decided that the patterns didn’t gel with the 49&market paper I have. Plus, I thought I might try making my own since the shapes look easy to recreate. The half tree may be difficult.

Congrats to everyone getting the things they wanted!!
Seems like it wasn't such a mess this year which is always nice.

I’m very pleasantly surprised that none of the new albums, or the kits have sold out yet. That’s nice for those that couldn’t get on right at the release. And I love that the stamps are set up so that everyone can get a chance to get what they want without risk of sell out.

I love the 3x8 journal cards, but again, it’s just such a large quantity, and I don’t want to spend $20 on them. I really might consider those in the digital release. I'm with you. I freaking love those cards and I will use them. But I won't use ALL of them and it's a steep price. I'll try to get them on sale later. A few years ago they had a similar pack for a million dollars and eventually I caved when it was like $4. I did not use many of them at all but I did not feel guilty getting rid of a bunch of them this year since I paid a fraction of what they initially sold for. I'm just going to be patient on these as paper doesn't expire. I kept waffling on the shaped pages and decided that the patterns didn’t gel with the 49&market paper I have. Plus, I thought I might try making my own since the shapes look easy to recreate. The half tree may be difficult. One thing I do when I want something cool like that is to find an image online that's similar, print it out onto regular paper to use as a pattern, then hand cut it. You won't have the text though. But I'm sure this will be an inexpensive digital since it's not a lot of file.

Since she’s transitioned the kits to be more for her 10x8 albums, I really feel like a lot of things are sized pretty big for someone who uses 6x8, and wants to have a photo heavy book. k10scrapper , I felt the same way initially, but last year on YouTube I saw someone (can't remember who) use the 10x8 papers in her 6x8 album, and her ideas were great! A few ideas: - Use the entire 10x8, but fold over 4" (I used that with last year's wreaths and tags papers, and they are two of my favorites)
- Cut 4 inches off one page and use those 4" on the facing page along with an extension to make it 6x8 - either cardstock, a photo, or transparency. You can also use it as just a 4x8.
Seeing how the entire 10x8 page could be used in a 6x8 really opened up the possibilities.

I'm hoping that there will be embellishments from past kits being added to the shop. So I'll watch out for those. Otherwise on fence about buying PP stamp. I didn't get a lot this year and I'm happy

I have a couple of the past digitals for these and it's really fun to cut your own shaped pages out if you have a silhouette. I have done this especially with Heart shaped and the half circle. I did buy the physical last year and this year just because I almost always use over half of them if not close to all of them.

If you bought the chipboard tags, what do you plan to do with them? I love the look of them but not really sure how to use them.

If you bought the chipboard tags, what do you plan to do with them? I love the look of them but not really sure how to use them. I will use them for sure in 2x2 pockets, probably on one of the tag papers in main or speciality paper pack. Also will likely sure as part of a tag collage with larger vellum and paper tags. I was not sure about getting them, but I really love the designs and they will make great finishing touches on a page or larger tag.

I don’t have any of the matching papers, not my thing. I tend to layer tags and put on a large photo, just not sure how that works with a heavier tag.

The only thing I didn’t get was the die cut pack. It sold out in check out. Kind of a bummer since it was actually what I wanted most. I just couldn’t get in in time. Hopefully I can make the digitals work. I was just hoping to not have to do a lot of extra printing this year.

Thank you! I really wanted them to be a touch larger. I got the advent calendar. The red numbers on the cards are about the same, maybe a touch bigger. I'm happy to send you a couple. Ali said she used a 3.5" punch for them (which I don't have). I'm going to test a single number with my 3" punch and see how it works. I also put a 3.5" punch in my Amazon cart but dang they are big and expensive.

Any suggestions for other sources of numbers? Ideally 1 inch tall?
I feel like I can never find good numbers. Thickers fall off, many alpha sets barely have any…

I just couldn’t decide between the two 6x8 albums, so I got them both. That was my only splurge, but I figure Ali will keep scrawling her messy writing all over future albums, or she’ll do away with 6x8 and I’ll be happy to have one tucked away for next year. Other than that I got what I wanted - Paislee Press mini kit and stamp and the die cut labels. Nice and simple DD planned this year.

Anyone else start an AE box? I have the white 6*8 album with gold stars, some page protectors, the gold number stickers, and the silver label stickers in mine. As a non-Christmas celebrant, I haven't committed to the actual kits (although I like the colors on the Pink Paislee mini kit and may add it at some point). I'm trying to come up with a consistent color scheme this year to streamline my process--I finished three DDs several years ago, but had a hard time getting much done the past few years.

If you bought the chipboard tags, what do you plan to do with them? I love the look of them but not really sure how to use them. I like that they will dangle nicely when hung by a ribbon or thread and that you can add something to the back of them, like word art or a little journaling, even. I also like a grid or line of them on a page to add dimension, or added to a cluster to give some depth. I also like that the star-shaped holes punch out nicely and you can add the coordinating stars to the facing page to add cohesion across a 2 page spread. Ali did this grid last year with the rubber tags. I was thinking of something similar.

I’m confused about the typo on the plastic tag pack. It says the typo is on the “SIMPLE JOYS” tag which looks right to me, but there is also a “AND TO ALL A GOODNIGHT” tag. Hmmmm.

I definitely found in the past at Michaels and painted them. This was 2010 or so, when numbers were scarce. I also found wooden stars and hearts on Amazon, if AE sells out and anyone was hoping to add them.

The advantage to them having to put the classes in the regular spot, is that you can use a coupon code on them now. I just ordered the prep day, and the hybrid product play, and it was only $13.60 for both, which felt like a pretty decent deal to me.

I love the designer papers and even though they’re in that size I picked them up with the intention of modifying them. Great tips!!!

Any suggestions for other sources of numbers? Ideally 1 inch tall? I feel like I can never find good numbers. Thickers fall off, many alpha sets barely have any… Do you have a silhouette? I watched some tutorials online and figured out how to turn any old font into a cut file. Last year I made a title just by cutting out individual letters (then I stuck them down). Then you can make any number you want. But otherwise I am obsessed with numbers. I love to use rubber stamps to make numbers. I'll cut out tag shapes and stamp numbers on them or use those metal-rimmed tags. I've also just been adding adhesive to my thickers so they stay down. So far so good. Elles Studio has some good ones in stock right now. She has a white set that you can color or stamp on. The advantage to them having to put the classes in the regular spot, is that you can use a coupon code on them now. Can you share this code? The one I had expired.
