Ok…another question from an AE DD products newbie. The floral and stripes envelope bundle…the red striped has holes punched. The green floral has holes punched. The transparent joy doesn’t have holes punched? Why? What am I supposed to do with it? Glue it in the back of an album or on a page? I’m super tempted to get that bundle but don’t know how I’d include the joy envelope in my album. I’m puzzled. Help me justify this purchase! I sometimes adhere an envelope to the inside cover of my album to put things in, so that's what I'd assume since it's probably heavier than the others.

Okay DD Peas... I have 4 sets of stamps available from 2022. I thought they would be used on card inserts for my DD album or my regular pocket page albumb but other than stamping a few to see how they stamped, they have sat. Unused. Lonely. Waiting to be loved and appreciated. So here is what is available for free. I just ask that you give these stamps a loving home. I will let this sit for a day. I will mail out this weekend. I would love the Christmas phrases stamp if it’s not already spoken for. What a super sweet RAK!!

Do you have a simple stories album, the one that is kraft with fabric on the spine? They are the same size as the velvet albums. Did you know the Simple Stories holiday binders (large spine) started out as kraft albums with fabric on the spine, blemon ? That's how it all began. They were not linked to a particular Christmas collection but meant to be customised with mixed media and embellies to match your chosen Christmas line. I still regret not buying the one with the words printed on the fabric but I did get the candy cane-striped fabric one the first year they offered them. ☺️ Look at me with my super niche SS holiday binder knowledge. I was already looking for wide spine alternatives to the AE ones that I found too expensive to ship internationally back then (ironically, it was super cheap compared to nowadays). 😂 Thanks for posting this album...I was looking at Vicki Boutin's Peppermint Kisses album but didn't like the notebook paper, but this works and I found it on EBay!

Do the holes on the six ring page protectors line up with the standard two ring protectors? Just wondering if I bought a refill and didn’t use all of them if it’d be easy to stick them in my usual albums. They line up with the Simple Stories albums. I don't think I have any other brand with two holes. But I use my AE page protectors in my simple stories binders all the time.

I always put envelopes in the front or back to add little bits from the month that dont warrant their own spread, envelope, etc.

I adhere the citrus twist adhesive strips onto them and add them as a page in my album - great for Santa wish lists or Christmas cards received, stick a number and an embellishment on the front with red line tape and that’s an easy dd layout/day for me! Strips are here: citrustwistkits.com/collections/albums-notebooks/products/citrus-twist-kits-life-crafted-adhesive-page-strips

The only thing I didn’t get was the die cut pack. It sold out in check out. Kind of a bummer since it was actually what I wanted most. I just couldn’t get in in time. Hopefully I can make the digitals work. I was just hoping to not have to do a lot of extra printing this year. Sorry that sucks! I have the die cut pack from last year, was there anything from that pack that I may still have, that I can rak to you? How incredibly sweet I ended up signing up for the hybrid class this afternoon, so I am going to go ahead and try to work with the digitals. I also am debating getting a foil press or the minc and printer. It seems adding foiling touches is what I like best. I think that's what I liked about the die cuts this year. Of course my ideas and execution are 2 different things! lol But I really do appreciate the offer!

Or use a “cold” foiling method with Deco Foil and Transfer Gel Duo. I think you can also use a glue pen to outline parts of die cuts, then use the Deco Foil to create foiled effects 👍

Ali spent some time showing different ways to use the envelopes in one of the Instagram Q&As. You can use the AE or Citrus Twist three hole attachers to add the Joy envelope, or glue it down to the front or back cover. She also showed how she changed up the alignment for the horizontal envelope to make it fit in a 6x8 album, re-punching holes or using an attacher, and then putting ribbon through the holes she didn’t use along the top.

I didn’t purchase any Ali Edwards DD products today. Anyone else? Me neither but I might be "cheating" since I'm all digital. I really liked the tumbler but it doesn't have any Christmas-y words or images on it so I passed.

pantsonfire I would love the Christmas Tabs V.2 set, if it isn't already spoken for. What a generous RAK! I checked the AE site this morning and the one thing I was considering purchasing (the die cut pack) is sold out. Oh well... it wasn't meant to be! I am going to look through my DD products in my stash this weekend and see if I really need anything.

The latest DD account IG post says that quite a few things are running low.
Whoever did inventory predictions did a pretty good job this year — nothing earth shattering sold out on opening day and everything is somewhat evenly running out.

Whoever handled inventory deserves a raise and a promotion. IIRC there were 3 or 4 items last year that sold out within the first five minutes. Like the big trees. Which I’m still angry about.

Now to keep from adding anything to the cart for a bit. I know I will get a stamp or two, but since I have til Sept 10th, I am going to just sit on my hands and wait to make that decision. Did anyone else see the insta story where someone asked how many people participate? I think it said thousands participate using her products and many more who don't. I was trying to think about how much $$ in product she sells just from her Dec Daily products. I have no idea, but obviously she has a team of employees, even if it is small, and this is the largest collection so she must bring in some good revenue from this. Julie

I had both the pocket die and the red foil chipboard in my Elle's Studio shopping cart along with the 3x4 square metal frame die that would make all kinds of cool photo frames out of Christmas patterned paper. I just hit BUY after seeing your post . I'd love to see what you do with the pocket die - I had not thought about stitching on those, but I like that idea a lot and I felt like it would be super versatile outside of DD. Both happy (and sorry) to be an enabler! 🤣 Love Elle’s Studio for good multi-use products 😊 I don’t have a sewing machine, so plan to stitch the pockets by hand using embroidery floss, will be happy to post some photos when my project is underway 😊 I think Ali will be doing a lot of stitching on embellishments this year, so I hope to play along 👍 Whoa! My order already shipped! I am super excited to play around with the photo frame die and the pocket die

I didn’t purchase any Ali Edwards DD products today. Anyone else? I'm here! I had decided to use a previously purchased green felt folio as my memory planner for the month of December. I typically use the Heidi Swapp memory planners, where there are several days on each page. So for December, I will use the folio and use an entire page for each day-so still kind of doing DD. I'm sure there will be holiday content in there, but I've got plenty of stuff in my stash to use. As a memory planner, I like to document in almost real time, so none of these pages are going to be complicated.

Did anyone watch the lessons for the Stories of Christmas Past class last year? I’m intrigued every time Ali flips through her album, but I don’t know if I have much use for the products since I’m not planning on doing a Christmas past album. I’m wondering if the class content could be applicable to other retrospective projects.

I'm excited to see this baby in person.

I don't need the stuff, either, but I would purchase if it were just the digitals and the class. I really don't have a lot going on since I am retired and my kids are all grown, but I would like to include some retrospectives in my DD album.

Since Paige’s Sugar Plum Wishes paper pad is a unicorn, I ordered it from a store that still had it in stock. It was delivered already (ordered yesterday).
I will use what I already have for the rest.

In my opinion, one of the best classes I've purchased. They both completed a full album and shared lots of video and photo content. - 10 videos by Ali (around 140 minutes total)
20 videos by Pam (around 305 minutes total) 7 free digital files, including the digital version of the kit
Topics included things like dealing with old photos, lots of documenting holiday Firsts, ideas for comparing now and then, strategies for dealing with stories that have no photos, adding stories of pets, holiday traditions, nostalgic music and décor, etc. They used the kit items and supplemented with other shop items.

Ended up caving this morning, and adding the wood veneer stars to my box. I was deciding yesterday between the felt stars, and the wood veneer ones, and I was kind of regretting my choice already, and then I saw that the quantities were low, and decided to just grab them also. I do usually like stars in all of my December albums, so I’ll probably gladly use both eventually. I really like the Christmas colors on them, and they are something that I think I will enjoy adding to my stash for years to come. I did make myself go through my stash first to make sure that I didn’t have anything similar already, and I just really don’t own much wood veneer, so it didn’t feel as excessive as some of my other impulse purchases 😂

Guys, I found an application for us front that I actually like. The Halloween kit, works so well with it. Will be ordering.
I had 2 secondary purchases yesterday, the chip tags and those silly printed circles. I’m going to try. Blanket stitch around the edge.
