2023 megaaa DECEMBER DAILY thread (ALL December projects)

I’m on the West Coast also, so my estimated delivery date isn’t until next Friday. I’m just beyond thrilled that it’s at least starting its journey west! I wonder how long until our Heidi Swapp orders ship out?😂🤪. I’m guessing it’s absolute craziness over at Inked between the last of December Daily, monthly kits for all the companies needing shipped, Heidi Swapp’s Christmas release, and Studio Calico’s release coming next week. Yikes🙈. At least we don’t have a month long boxing period to wait through first this time😅

That is NOT what I would consider a "discount" for the Hybrid class! Even all 4 products for the price of the main kit would be better. I also wish it was a better discount that was exclusive to people who bought the class instead of anyone and everyone being able to get the "discounted" bundle.

I was on right at release and ordered the big bundle from Heidi. I way over spent this year and decided I’m going out with a bang. Anyhow I like how her collections come in a nice oversized zipper pouch that can be used again and again and keep everything in one place. Wonderful presentation.

My DD box came today. I ordered a lot of stuff and it was all just thrown in like a big mess. Usually all the littles are at least put in a drawstring bag together but not this time. Everything tossed in willy nilly including the banner. Yuck! zero stars for presentation. Starting to feel less and less like a small business.

Finally got my AE DD shipping notice today! No estimated delivery yet, although hopefully with UPS I should see it before I leave for a crop on Thursday. When I was getting antsy for shipping I checked my last DD order and it was all the way back in 2019 and shipped out 10/1 (was that pre-SC taking over??). I at least appreciate the emails communicating the delay and hope those still waiting get shipping notices soon.

With my DD order, buying the whole 49 & Market Christmas Spectacular collection and most of Paige Evan's Sugarplum Wishes collection....I am done and done for this year!!

Normally that happens with me when I order from AE, but I was pleasantly surprised that I got my box 3 days after I got the shipping notification. 

So if you did DD last year, is your album done? If not, what’s the status?

Day 21 - it’s half done- waiting for some things coming in my AE order to complete it

day 25 - this is all sketched out, just waiting for some supplies to come in the mail and time to implement

I just want to be done by December so I think I’m in good shape. I can also use ideas from product play and prep day on the remaining days.

I did finish, in January. My album was very simple, but I still love looking at it.

Here's what I did: I used the Day One App for all of my journaling. I used the Project Life App for a lot of the pages. I printed at home a lot, using my Canon Selphy.

I didn't do any mixed media, but I did do some stamping. I used a basic formula for my pages and set them up ahead of time. I changed things up if needed, with the passing of each day.

I'm glad I finished when I did. It doesn't look like something created by a design team, and it's not very long, but it includes our daily lives. We had to say goodbye to our beloved dog in February, but she was still around in December. I had lots of pages of my father-in-law, and he passed away last week. One of the pictures I took of him, on his 94th birthday on Dec. 10, is the one we ended up using in his obituary.

I don't know what I'll do this year. My extended family is a bit of a mess. The world is getting scarier by the minute. I may want to do some pretty pages with very little journaling this year. We'll see.

I’m sorry about your FIL and your dog. How special that they were included. I used my selphy, too - no big “design team” style photos for me. I would like to try including a full page photo sometime but I’m not sure what dimensions to even order for 6x8… 8x10 but I don’t know how that would fit right. Oh well.

When it was time to buy December Daily products this year, I hadn’t started my 2021, or 2022 albums, and I was feeling guilty to buy more stuff. I jumped in, and decided to tackle my 2021 album first, using the 2019 kit I had purchased to make that album. I am getting super close to done. I just have to type out a bunch of journaling, and print a few more pictures that I’m going to slip into a pocket in the back, but all of my crafting is done. Last year was the first year I bought the current kit, and current year’s goodies for my album. I’m going to start that album as soon as I finish this one, because I’m not burnt out yet. I have less pictures from last year, so it should go a little faster. I will take my photos, and keep notes for this year. I actually prefer to work on it later once I have everything gathered, and know what kind of pictures, and events I’m working with. I don’t do a daily format, and I really like to keep it to one album, so I like to kind of prioritize what I’m including for the year, before I run out of space. I’m feeling a lot less overwhelmed now that I have a good start on catching up. I have a lot of past years I’d love to get to eventually, but I’m not worried about them for now.

I’m still not done with my WITL- but pretty close. I also relate to kind of hating it at this point. Lol

I’m another one who finished in Jan and needs to get it done in the current season us it just won’t happen. I love the idea of creating as the new kits and collections are released but I also love knowing my album is done.

I woke up to a shipping notice from AE with expected delivery Wednesday. I’m in FL.

Persnickety Prints does 6X8 prints, and they do a beautiful job. I started using them for my regular scrapbooking. I have long admired the full-page prints that other scrapbookers showcase but thought I wasn't a good-enough photographer. I'm finding that it doesn't matter. My iPhone 13 does a great job, and the resolution is just fine. I like the immediacy of printing at home, but the quality of Persnickety Prints photos is so much better.
