Christmas at the Biltmore - swoon, will rewatch again soon. Catch Me if You Claus - Italia Ricci was terrific, Luke McFarlane has never been better as Santa's son. Fun, fun, fun. Mystic Christmas - I adored this one, but Mystic is local-ish to me so it was fun picking out all the location. Sift Bakery got so much product placement! Where Are You Christmas - great concept that I don't think Hallmark would have tried a few years ago. I also liked Christmas at Notting Hill and Heidelberg Holiday - mostly for seeing seeing London and Heidelberg at Christmas the biggest dud for me as of 11/30: Never Been Chris'd (cringe) I love these reviews!! I'm excited for a couple of these I haven't seen yet. So bummed about Never Been Chris'd. You aren't the first person to report that it's not the best. It looks really good. Will someone be interested in these? Paper Person rub-ons, Elle's Studio chipboard banners, Elle's Studio half circles, Elle's Studio December tags If someone else doesn't want these or doesn't want all of them, I'd love a handful of the chipboard numbers and the half circles. I have the others. I also love numbers and I do use them but I don't think I'll ever use all 24 of a set. I like to use a different number for each story so that means I would need to do 24 years of a December Daily to use them all up. I mean I'm halfway there but... Oh, and I popped on here for a reason that I've totally forgotten cause I got distracted by movies and goodies. Hey, I remember already! Day 21 of the Advent Calendar is worth opening early. Just sayin'. It's very useful.

I decided kinda late that I want to read actual Christmas themed books this year since I rarely do so I'm putting my usual things on hiatus once the 1st happens. I made my list and am putting in holds with my library/checking Hoopla & Spotify to figure out the logistics and where I should get things since I'm a digital girl and don't like buying books. Spoiler cut of my list in case readers are interested also highly recommend Five Gold Rings by Kristen Bailey tagline: one broken heart, two festive weddings, three bended knees, four fake Santas...a truly funny and cute story plus London at Christmas (I am here for more romcoms that bring the comedy part)

That stinks. Are we at December Daily burnout? Or Ali burnout? Also, discovered that LV of Ali’s creative team is unwatchable for me. Other than taking some lovely photos what purpose does she serve? I see next to no projects from her. Just lots of simpering. I can’t anymore.

I can’t anymore. Let me clear --- her project wasn't totally bad. It was just a waste of her talent, for a class, IMHO. I dont know if they are experiencing burnout or what. I think it's probably hard to come up something really creative, year after year, on demand (especially just using die cuts). I get it --- I did the DT thing years ago and it's so easy to get burned out.

TY for the rec caspad ! Love that it's on KU too lol, makes it even easier to get. Spending time watching videos and getting some inspiration today. Sabrina Poole did her yearly bookshelf video and I love it - totally and utterly scraplifting this. She said she got inspo from Paige Evans' Halloween shelf page ( here)

I am doing the same today --making sure I watched all of the DD class videos, YT, etc. I am also updating my spreadsheet of my ideas for the month. Oh, and I am cleaning up my space so Im all ready.

Who was the Pea looking for an embellishment that said 'it's looking a lot like Christmas'? I am sure I saw a thread about it but now can't find it. Did they find an embellishment to use? Anyone know?

Also me. I have my version sitting out and in process right now. This is a great concept that is easily personalized . Would have been the kind of thing we would want to see in product play.

abrina Poole did her yearly bookshelf video and I love it - totally and utterly scraplifting this. I love this - I'm not doing a DD this year but I think adapting this idea to non-Christmas themed would make a good layout to document my reading for the year...I think I'm going to play with this and see what I can make work in 8.5x11...Thanks for sharing

Um, I did not hate Never Been Chris'd.
I wouldn't watch it again but I didn't hate it.
I kinda liked it although parts of it were annoying.

I have never read Christmas themed books other than with my kids and I would love to do it this year, but get some guidance before I waste time. TIA!

Well peas it’s December 1 here in the land of oz and I already have my first dd story - I had our annual tax appointment and I dropped all our super sensitive information in the local shopping mall. A Good Samaritan returned it to our letterbox before I realised it was even missing 🤪

I decided on the red velvet 6x8 album by SB.com. It was on sale and I saved an extra 10%.

I've started pulling together my kit. I'm using the PP mini kits from this year and last year (?), pulling out the pinks and reds, pairing it with a couple of pieces of SS Boho Christmas, and some other papers from my stash. It's a little different for me, I often use pink but don't typically use red or the taupe/kraft colour that's in these lines. Tomorrow I hope to add the embellishments and decide on some alphas.
Happy documenting everyone!

*stumbles back in not-so-nonchalantly* IT'S HERE, IT'S DECEMBER 1ST, FELLOW DECEMBERISTS!And as is tradition, that also means the return of the daily December prompts to help navigating 31 days to record. December 1: FIRST
This is your day to make that number 1 shine and work double duty. Today, document an actual first. Story prompts | In easy mode, this is a page full of little things about December 1st itself: weather, what you listened to/watched, a photo of a moment shared together as a family like everyone gathered around the table for dinner, a list of today's "main events", like a lightweight DITL. You can also use this prompt to document the first of a repeated tradition such as the first windows on the kids' Advent calendars, the first coffee drink from this winter's holiday menu, the first thing you did today, the first decorations going up in your home, etc. Creative prompt | Use something new or unused in your Christmas hoard. Cut into a sheet of paper from a 2023 release, break out the new number set from your DD order, stamp using a uninked yet set! Celebrate the beginning of your new December project with something fresh. Song of the day:

Yay, December 1st! Yay, sleepingbooty is back! First story for me? Forgot the damn elves. Have to sneak them out of the "North Pole" (aka my closet) this morning. Oops! This will be my practice run for sneaking gifts into the house this year. 😁
