I did one last week lol. I will share later today. It is about my new Peanuts ornament (Franklin).
Today will be about ds grocery shopping for his programs Holiday Party. In his program life skills they work on specific skill sets and one is cooking. The students along with staff will be making a holiday feast.

blemon - I hope your calendar shows up. I reminded DH last night abt calendars - I know he bought Lego ones for himself and DD17. I'm hoping there's a chocolate one for me... Yeah, it'll show up when I go downtown to the toy store and buy it. Every year I do a beer advent calendar for him. It bought shipping boxes for tubes, taped them together, and decorated it. And I got him a chocolate one. Every year for the kid I fill these muslin bags I bought with tiny gifts. And we got her the jam one (thanks to suggestions from this group). I bought myself the AE sticker calendar and I've really loved it. sleepingbooty that video was so bizarre.

Welcome to December!
Great to see you @sleepingbeauty!
Got the grandkids their advent calendars last night. We are taking the family to see Santa tonight. So there is my first story.
The Purdue basketball team has a player dress up as Buddy the Elf and they post clips on ig. They are hilarious. Check out boilerball on ig.

I think I'm going to use the Book Shelf idea to span 2 pages, but use the spines for movies we've seen, but the books that face out for the movie covers I've been saving from the new ones. We'll see if it works out.

Who was the Pea looking for an embellishment that said 'it's looking a lot like Christmas'? I am sure I saw a thread about it but now can't find it. Did they find an embellishment to use? Anyone know? That was me! I ended up caving and buying a stamp set. I will have to get my inks out and make good use of the set this month!

DH knocked it out of the park and got me a flavoured vodkas advent calendar this year. Don’t mind me peas I’ll just be sipping quietly on the couch…. Hic… I got him a marshmallow.co calendar that hasn’t arrived yet 😂 at least I know that they truly are hand made fresh and in small batches. Maybe it’s the same with the playmobil calendar 🤷🏼♀️🤣

Maybe it’s the same with the playmobil calendar 🤷🏼♀️🤣 Dying. Ha ha ha ha ha. Guess what showed up in the mail today? I acted like I didn't know what it was when I had already read the return address label from Playmobil. I opened day 1. In December Daily news: I have completed my title page! I have finished Day 1. We start off the season the day after Thanksgiving with a road trip we call "it's the journey not the destination" where we pick random places to visit in the same area from Roadside America and Atlas Obscura. This was the third year of it. So fun. I spent a lot of time on it but most of the rest of the pages will be way simpler. I also just realized I put on the page It's NOT the journey it's the destination and I'm not sure how I'm going to fix that.

The easy fix for the quote is to tape an Uno reverse card to the page with an arrow pointing to the quote and calling it done!

Hey sleepingbooty ! Missed you friend! Our 2 dogs got 3 calendars , kiddo got a bag of funkos I Ordered off Ali express then made a a calendar for them by wrapping and numbering them. Then hubby got a duck calendar, and a Harry Potter Lego calendar we haven’t had yet. Then wine for me. I really thought I was scaling back this year truly. lol but my kiddo loves them so it’s worth it. Tonight’s wine was a cab sav and let me tell ya it was dry and I sipped it slowly but eventually finished it! Only slightly tipsy. This is my first wine advent so I’m looking forward to the different ones! As we kick off December daily, I truly wonder where this last year went. I think it was the fastest year of my life.

ecvnj58 lovely!!! pantsonfire I love what you did with the ornaments! sarahsprettypapers I was able to pull up the not and move it. I covered up where the paper tore with a gold star that look surprisingly well placed! We have a long day tomorrow so I don't think I'll get to take any photos. So the movie I watched the other day was Called Under the Christmas Sky. It was cute. I liked it. Today I watched Mystic Christmas and it was also a nice easy watch. I wouldn't watch either ever again and will likely forget both by Wednesday. My frndly recorded a movie with CCB from 2019 for some reason. I immediately deleted it. Today I downloaded the free christmas tree stitching file from Paige Evans. As soon as I saw it I had to make it so I did. I've been stitching and watching Hallmark movies. A good evening for sure. I have never cut a stitch file on the silhouette before. I usually have to cut cardstock twice (passe 2) but I cut one and it was slipping so I threw it out and cut another with just 1 passe. Now I have to punch a smidge with the needle but it's not a big deal. Still better than punching all those holes myself. I need to get something to punch through as I don't like the extra resistance of cardboard. I think it's time for a new blade too. I don't remember when I put this one in.

I have a few pages done for my album already since we start the festivities Thanksgiving weekend but I'm off to Indianapolis to see "A Christmas Carol" and visit the Carmel Christkindlmarket so I'll have to share Sunday night.

I met a couple of friends for our town’s Krampusnacht/First Friday artwalk event tonight. Last year it wasn’t a very big deal, this year they closed a road and it seemed like the whole town came out to see the parade. YAY They even had a pay what you can Krampus picture set up, maybe next year I’ll do that. I snapped a few blurry pictures but got really lucky that a pro with a flash was taking a picture next to me. http://instagram.com/p/C0VirAyOfCO

Ok, I just googled poop emoji stickers. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews of the Etsy poop stickers. Some people keep track of their poops! And Temu has some interesting shit (ha ha, I couldn't resist). I just searched poop stickers and left the emoji out. When my kids were smaller I found poop emoji stickers at 5 Below and I bought one for each of their stockings. They thought they were hilarious

Day 2 (today) will be about the LA Science Center. Going to see the NASA space shuttle!! Super excited.
Tomorrow I will have the story about ds grocery shopping for his programs party.
I am doing 25 memories and am letting go of the idea that I have to scrap the day on the day it happened.

Back from LA. The space shuttle is just amazing. In January they begin to move it to its permanent exhibit will it will be upright for launch go with the last remaining external tank on Earth. I was reminded why I do not enjoy LA traffic. LOL

I am doing 25 memories and am letting go of the idea that I have to scrap the day on the day it happened. This has been my philosophy every year - some days we have two or three events, and some we have none, and that’s the only way I can survive the season! There are some days that have specific stories that happened on that day, but the rest I just put in depending on what fits behind or next to the previous day. And some stories don’t make it in at all, and some stories may be borrowed from November. It’s more about celebrating what was unique about the year for our family and what was the same rather than manufacturing stories to fill an album for me!

I think it’s a fun little bonus if the date matches the story/page number, but absolutely not necessary.

I haven't done any physical work on my album yet. But I did type out my journaling and edited my photo. I probably won't have time to sit at my craft desk till the end of the month. So I'll just try to stay on top with the digital as we go.
