I just realised some of the tags, vellum pieces… whatever they are have left aligned text in the middle of the shape. 🤢🤮. Cannot. Handle. This. Choose one, either aligned to the side and on the side, or aligned to the middle and in the middle. No mix and match. I can’t figure out what you’re talking about. 😂 The vellum tags are just patterned, no text. What am I missing?

There's some cute stuff in the kit, but maybe it's the image quality, but the solids (the dark green especially) look watery? Muddy? Splotchy? The nutcracker paper/card especially compared to the Merry + Bright. It's cloudy printing at Inked Brands again, ugh. I hate when they switch paper qualities and the ink absorbency is affected. The nutcracker card you pointed out looks particularly bad although when looking at the enlarged image, it's also very noticeable for the solid red background on the "Let your heart be light" card, the green strip on the "celebrating" prompt card and the vellum tags (which is to be expected for vellum). Good catch. I hate when the colors are all mottled like that. I will keep this in mind if I start feeling fomo during the boxing period. 😆

Ugh no, I hope not. It really irks me when they offer up such crappy printed paper items when we all know how good everything can look with the right paper/printer. It's something that will make me disregard any AE DD kit. Dangit.

Wondering if it's some kind of background gone bad on those cards/items?

Wondering if it's some kind of background gone bad on those cards/items? No, that's pretty typical of Inked's cloudy printing. It's probably emphasised by the harsh white light they've thrown over the products to photograph them (which means the darker shades will definitely be moodier IRL/under normal lighting circumstances). Some of the cloudiness will be smoothed out by the film the page protectors provide.

Not sure if this should go here or in the product thread… but a couple of the Paige Evans’ Sugarplum Wishes items I put in my wishlist are already marked discontinued by scrapbook dot com. The 6x8 pad and an ephemera pack. I don’t think I had added much else so not sure if other things are also already gone.
I found the 6x8 pad at a couple of other shops but if AC didn’t make enough so that they’re running out in mid-August I will probably just skip this collection entirely. I know it’s hard to predict what people will love but… idk, that just seems crazy pants to me.
Just wanted to post a warning if people were being all casual like me, thinking they had time to shop for Christmas supplies…

Goodness me! 😱 And this collection hasn't even dropped at European retailers yet. I'm particularly worried about the ephemera pack now. That's my go-to for every line. Fingers crossed the Euro vendors got their orders in on time and AC didn't mess up setting aside the right amount to fill them. It's going to be a bloody battlefield when Sugarplum Wishes is finally released here. No wonder we're hoarding when the biggest brand in the industry can't even offer enough supply to the biggest online retailer in the industry. You cannot be American Crafts and be completely sold out of something as basic as a Christmas collection's paper pad or ephemera pack before the end of the summer.

A little Hallmark news for my fellow Countdown to Christmas viewers. Hallmark have announced their first 2023 C2C movie, A Biltmore Christmas, and it's the very anticipated Bethany Joy Lenz movie directed by John Putch who was behind last year's super successful Holiday Spectacular (featuring the Rockettes). The news that Bethany Joy Lenz approached the channel to work with Putch dropped in January and it's been a long wait since.
Lucy Hardgrove (Joy Lenz) is a screenwriter who lands the job of a lifetime when she’s hired to pen the script for a remake of the beloved holiday movie, His Merry Wife! First filmed in 1947 at beautiful, historic Biltmore House, it has long been considered a Christmas classic. When the head of the studio isn’t satisfied with the ending Lucy wrote because it deviates from the original’s feel-good conclusion, he sends Lucy to Biltmore Estate for research and inspiration. While there, she unwittingly discovers the ability to travel to the 1947 set of His Merry Wife! through the help of an hourglass. After shaking off the initial shock of this turn of events, Lucy embraces this as her chance to uncover the truth about the movie’s original ending. While on set, she and Jack Huston (Kristoffer Polaha), one of the film’s stars, spend time together and become close. But her sudden appearance has set off a chain of events that put the production in jeopardy. Before she can return to the present, Lucy must make things right or threaten to alter the future forever.

A little Hallmark news for my fellow Countdown to Christmas viewers. Sounds good! I've never been to the Biltmore but I've been to Asheville a lot. I should make that a priority. Also crazy about Sugarplum Wishes. I know the album is delayed. So I'm wondering if there were more products in that shipment that they just can't rely on. I hope I will get the album! I pre-ordered from ACOT just the other day because I decided it was the one I needed. I did get one of the ephemera packs but I don't know if I bought both or not. I definitely got the one with the snowflakes. I figured those would be really fun to use. I don't have too much use for the 6X8 pads so I don't usually buy them unless they come with a Peachy Cheap deal. They are good for when I do travel journals because I use lots of pocket pages there but not for December Daily where most of my pages are full page outside the page protector. I really hope the European stuff is just on its way so you can get what you need!!

Right at the bottom to the centre left of the sneak pic, words are “it’s a magical (time of year?)”

Just wanted to post a warning if people were being all casual like me, thinking they had time to shop for Christmas supplies… I preordered most of the Sugarplum Wishes collection from ACOT as soon as it was listed. I'm going to take Paige's Christmas Album class next month, but I was unsure her class kit would contain everything I would want/need for 25-30 days this December, thus the ACOT preorder. Today I received an email from ACOT that explains the hold-up on my order. Here's part of it: It appears that American Crafts was not prepared for the popularity of this line. As always, I am super happy with ACOT's outstanding customer service and communication. And YAY for getting 48 double-sided papers vs 48 single-sided papers in a pad!!

I don’t think I would have noticed the way the text was justified on my own, but now that you’ve pointed it out it annoys me too. 😂

I think the only Christmas product I got last year was the postage washi from a 49th and Market collection. So cute!

But score for you - I’d be thrilled to be getting the real papers, double sided and much better print quality than the paper pads. Good job ACOT.

An update on the wood pattern Hickory binder from Simple Stories: mine has arrived and I can confirm it is indeed a large spine + large rings 6x8 like their holiday binders. 👍 It comes with some page protectors, 8 super usable cardstock pages (white with midtone grey ledger, grid, lined and dot print finishes) and a cardstock pocket in the hickory wood print.
The wood pattern looks beautiful IRL. It's definitely super versatile (DD, wedding, outdoors trip, etc.). I'm considering getting a second one to stock up. That's how much I like it. 💖
It is currently back in stock for just over $19 at SB.com and will probably sell out again pretty quickly. My retailer has confirmed by email these are going fast and Simple Stories isn't currently taking orders for these anymore.

The kit doesn’t seem very imaginative to me. Could be my mood, could be I’m expecting too much from paper and stickers. Yes, that's what I thought too. It's boring me. Now, with that said, I am usually not big on Ali for Christmas to begin with. I'm waiting to see the stamps, though. I feel like I need some Christmas stamps.

I'm going to take Paige's Christmas Album class next month I cannot wait to hear about this class. There is a tiny bow at the top of one of the pages in the album she was showing in her insta stories and I AM SMITTEN! I really hope you'll be able to tell me what that is. I never have cute bows like that. I don't know how to get them. Maybe I will have to make a special cut file for my silhouette.

It looks just like one of the little bow dies from AX (albeit probably a bit bigger). Very, very cute! I hope you can figure out a file for your Silhouette.

Sugarplum Wishes available from my first local retailer: no 12x12 paper pad, no 6x8 paper pad, no washi tape set, no icon ephemera pack, no foam icon Thickers, no icon puffy stickers, no acrylic sweaters + sequins, no tassels with charms, no cross stitch kit, no mini alpha Thickers, no sticker book, no paper clips with charms, no album. AC messed up big time.
No icon ephemera = I'm out. These are my must-have essentials when scrapbooking with a particular collection. The icon puffy stickers are also not available. I'm sad but I can't help the powers that be at AC.

I was looking at the paper clips & tassels too - so cute. We could even split some packs if you don’t need full sets. Just let me know!

The icon puffy stickers are also not available. I'm sad but I can't help the powers that be at AC. I'm so sorry about this! I feel like when it first came out, people on this board were not into it (but me). I'm really surprised how popular it is. Paige Evans wasn't even on my radar until this collection. When I was organizing my paper, I realized I had a few pieces of paper she designed. She seems like a nice person too.
