Love that the cat was checking out the album, too funny. That cat was doing his own thing. That was definitely my favorite part of the video, in addition to some little bow that was on top one of the pages in the middle. It was maybe like a die cut or part of the paper or something and I need it.

As far as the DD lifestyle merchandise is concerned, not really my thing.

Another part of me says to make this part of my regular, annual 12x12 album so the whole year is together and I don't have the added need to store a separate small album. Has anyone done this as pocket pages and layouts in a larger album, or have you seen an example of this that you could point me to? This is how I am now documenting my December memories. Everything goes into my yearly album, and I do a variety of layouts and pocket pages. I choose two different collections to use for the whole month of December so everything seems cohesive and alternate between full 12x12 layouts and a pocket page of some sort. I also add smaller pages (6x8, 9x12, whatever I feel like creating) throughout to capture the little things as well. In 2021, I used Doodlebug's Let It Snow and Shimelle's Glitter Girl collections. I posted all of the layouts in order on my Instagram if you would like to see it. It starts with this title page: http://instagram.com/p/CXbbE88ujw1 That's gorgeous! I love the way your pages all came together. My albums usually have a mix of pocket pages and full layouts, so I don't think it will look out of place, but I do want to add some of the smaller more interactive elements as well. Lovely inspiration...thank you!

Here's the main kit sneak:

Main kit love: the patterns, the tags and pockets, the invitations to count Memories of the day (I do this style of page at least once each December)
Not sure yet: the fonts, the lack of non-paper and dimensional items (I long for the days of a bit of trim in the kit!)

I thought I saw trim - 2-3 ribbons - in an earlier sneak. I always love the trim too!

Here's the main kit sneak: I’m a little surprised by how much I like it! It feels less dark in this picture. That said, I’m super excited to see what the mini kit is like.

Looks like I’ll be hanging out for the mini kit once again… and maybe stash busting? I say that every year 😂 there are a few tags etc I like but not enough to get the whole kit, I’m not a fan of gold or warm reds/greens and every year it seems that this is the colour palette used

I don't like the handwritten merry and bright and let your light fonts. Too attention grabbing , and heavy vs the rest of the kit.
So far nothing I want. I predict that the cloth banner is going to be in many sales to come.....
I like the green album and specialty papers but so far not enough to buy.

I don’t care for the kit. Which is fine- I’d rather not be tied down to a kit. I hope there are a few shop embellishments I’m interested in.

I haven't bought the main kit in years but I'm kinda liking this one.
I won't use those 4X6 cards or that Let your heart be light thing but I love the vellum tags, the ornament pockets, the 4X4 pockets, and the paper. There is a lot there I'm really into.
But definitely hoping for some good embellishments even though I got quite a few from the Paige Evans line this year.

The kit doesn’t seem very imaginative to me. Could be my mood, could be I’m expecting too much from paper and stickers.

I didn’t get the kit last year (my first dd year) but I was tempted by the big playful plastic words and the Santa paper. They just seemed “fun.” This kit (so far) looks a bit sterile to me.

I think this might be my problem too - the Santa kit was cute and different and I did get it especially for the large plastic words. This kit feels a little “same same but slightly different” to that kit, and I already used that kit, so I’m not as excited…

Hm, I was disappointed initially, but the more I look at the sneak peeks, the more I like them. Or is it simply a case of FOMO with all the excitement created ahead of the launch?

Sarahsprettypapers--I love your pages and bringing Christmas amd nonChristmas lines together. That is something I never realize I need to do until after I've chosen my supplies.

The main kit screams classic Ali. I'm not a big fan of mixing those pretty, dainty designs like the beautiful mistletoe floral pattern with her handlettering (especially since she's started using the thicker brushes) but this type of mix is part of her foundation. Same for incorporating several tones and shades within a same colour family. I think those who really enjoy Ali's style as a whole will love this main kit. Prompt-wise, it's also classic Ali, nothing new or revolutionary. In times of global financial hardship, it's probably best for her to keep it straightforward and restricted to traditional December colours. This is clearly not a divisive kit. It's also not really for me. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing Liz's mini now.

RE: The AE Main kit... those nutcrackers look identical to PP's last December kit.
There's some cute stuff in the kit, but maybe it's the image quality, but the solids (the dark green especially) look watery? Muddy? Splotchy? The nutcracker paper/card especially compared to the Merry + Bright.
It'll be a pass for me anyway, because I dislike her handwriting and her choice of colors. They always photograph them super bright, but they end up being too dark for me IRL.

I don’t dislike what I’m seeing, but I’m not excited about it either. I don’t care for the old school ornaments. I really don’t mind Ali’s printed writing, but loath her cuRsive with that damn capital R. I’m curious to see more of the plastic tree peeking up from the bottom. The felt tree is cute.
I haven’t bought a DD kit since that old HSN one. I nearly caved on last years so many times (I still want those plastic words), but there was more I didn’t care for than actually knew I’d use, so I passed.
I could do DD without buying anything new, and I have no problem with that.

I just realised some of the tags, vellum pieces… whatever they are have left aligned text in the middle of the shape. 🤢🤮. Cannot. Handle. This. Choose one, either aligned to the side and on the side, or aligned to the middle and in the middle. No mix and match. Nope, no, negative, yeah nuh from me.
And I agree with dawnnikol re the dark green on the cards - I found last year that the pics of the cards was way lighter and brighter than what I got… I almost felt some cards were hard to distinguish from the black used elsewhere in the kit so I hope this year isn’t the same!

RE: The AE Main kit... those nutcrackers look identical to PP's last December kit. This is one of the reasons why I like it. And you're right about the darks never really popping. I'm ok with that as I typically use the darker patterns as a foundation for something with a lot of white in it - something I want to pop. I might cut those guys up and do something with them.

There's some cute stuff in the kit, but maybe it's the image quality, but the solids (the dark green especially) look watery? Muddy? Splotchy? The nutcracker paper/card especially compared to the Merry + Bright. It's cloudy printing at Inked Brands again, ugh. I hate when they switch paper qualities and the ink absorbency is affected. The nutcracker card you pointed out looks particularly bad although when looking at the enlarged image, it's also very noticeable for the solid red background on the "Let your heart be light" card, the green strip on the "celebrating" prompt card and the vellum tags (which is to be expected for vellum).
