In other words, Republican support for workers remains little more than rhetoric, signifying nothing. I just renewed my California drivers license online. You can register to vote, change your party, address etc. you have to state that you are an American citizen plus answers a bunch of other questions to state that you are qualified to vote. They very clearly state that if you lie you can get in big trouble. You can read this is at least 10 different languages. They will allow undocumented to have a license but not vote. I am sure it is similar in PA. They do this because it’s in everyone’s best interest if people have insurance vs not. I haven’t seen ids for people that are not citizens but pretty sure they look different just like those under 21 look different so it’s easy to see that they shouldn’t be buying alcohol. I’ve never understood why some states make it so difficult. I registered when I was 18 back in the 80’s at the mall. They had a table set up and it was easy. I haven’t seen anything like that but it’s easy to fo through the dmv. My son doesn’t have his license but registered during Covid online I’m not sure if it was something his school encouraged or what. I turned 18 in college and registered in the student union building -but when I was in high school if you turned 18 you got a voter registration card in home room. Mind you it was up to you to fill it out and mail it in ( free ) or you could leave it in the main office & it would go out with the schools mail. And as you all know this was during the time of the dinosaurs without internet. If they could make it easy then it should be even easier today! ( I know, I know, schools would be lambasted today to do this, it would be seen as partisan but it wasn’t partisan at all ) You’d think republicans would like drivers license voter registration, the place where less people get drivers licenses is the urban areas, aren’t they always trying to exclude urban voters? I know in PA the rural republicans hate Philly voters |
