I'm guessing it's a quantity thing because the design team members/bloggers are only going to use these products once. Most of the big influencers will never use discontinued products on future cards and since Stamptember products are a one and done, it doesn't make sense to give them dies that could be sold to paying customers. OMG I never thought about the fact that the DT won’t use them again unless it’s for their personal use off camera because they like them. I guess we need to make friends with some influencers! (not this year - I don’t even want most of this year’s sets even for free) This also seems to be standard practice for SSS. Every month, when Cathy Z unboxes their monthly card kit, she always notes that there are dies for the stamp set as a separate purchase, but she doesn’t receive them, so she fussy cuts.

To be fair, the coordinating dies are not part of the card kit for SSS, so she IS getting the full kit.

The same could be said for the Stamptember sets - you can just buy the stamps, and fussy cut or use a scan n' cut. My point is, it seems like SSS doesn't provide the coordinating dies, in general, to their design team. I don't think they got them last Stamptember either.

Is the Sweet and Sassy Have Faith set the new one? It’s not showing up at the top of the list for me but I don’t think I’ve seen it before. It’s another nope anyway. Yes. It is a the top of the listings for me. But the stamp set is a NO for me. ETA: On another note, I finally got my Festive Flower today. I like it! I don't see it only as a poinsettia, I can see a tropical flower too. It’s popped up to the top now. I looked about 15 minutes early and it was sneaking around at the bottom, and was still down there about 15 mins after 9PT/12ET. So I guess if people want to check early they should make sure they scroll all the way down, just in case. So glad you got your flower!

More flowers? How original... They need to combine the original flowers with the original holiday stamps. Haha!

Papertrey Ink is up at the bottom of the page (right now) and it is very random. At least to me it is.
And it is 4x6 for the low, low price of $49.99 with the dies. No, thanks!

There are a ton of tiny dies from what I can see but the stamps are buildable/layering. My worst nightmare. It just looks like a lot of work to me! And indoor plants are not a theme I really care for anyway. Only Tim Holtz left now, no more late nights.

It’s cute and unique among the offerings, I’ll give it that. But I agree with Jo’s nightmare assessment.

It’s different but tiny layering stamps, no thanks.

Yeah, the ladder is something different that has not been done to death, but tiny pieces and indoor plants.....
Points for originality but still a "no".

The PTI set is okay, quite boring really. I don't like the indoor plant theme, personally. I hope TH really brings it, because it's been kind of a dull Stamptember for me, personally. Maybe I was just too busy with cardmaking events to enjoy it, though - I got so much new stuff that I wasn't really looking anymore.

Well, I’m safe. TH is not my thing, so likely won’t be interested. I did place a general supplies order the other day and appreciated the complimentary shipping with $25+. I wish they would offer that savings more often!

I wish they would offer that savings more often! I don't know why free shipping is more likely to get me to buy than a sale is. Really, sometimes the sale is much better even if I pay full shipping, but mentally I find free shipping harder to resist. I really need to stick to the math and not give into temptation. This summer SSS offered free shipping to Canadians - that's $12.99! It was awesome, I placed 2 orders. This time its $7 off, which is still great, but paying $5 means I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Hopefully today with the TH release!

And Tim Holtz is a "no" for me as well. Which is a disappointment. Not crayz about it at all. 49.99 for stamps, two small stencils and two mini pastes. Heidi of SSS surprised him with producing the dies to match, which never happens with TH stamps anymore, but they are 29.99 more. So $80 for a "meh" set.
No Stamptember for me at all.

I caved on Tim’s set. I wish the dies were not so expensive though 😠 Enjoy! I wish I loved it more. I do like the sentiments. Die prices are crazy train! After seeing some of the inspiration in the live I am a little less "meh". But still won't use it $80 worth.

I just peeked at the Tim Holtz set. I adore the little snowman, he is so cute! Gob-smacked at the price of the entire suite though. Ouch.

When I thought the dies were included for the $50 I was going to get it. I don't really care about the pastes or stencils but I really like the sentiments (esp the font) and the images look pretty fun and easy to color. But am I willing to either stamp on shapes/panels (yes, probably) or fussy cut (a few of them, maybe)? Because I'm sure as hell NOT paying $80 for the set with dies. Very disappointed with how they split/priced that. I'll have to give that some thought. I can live without it. The more I look at the images I think I only love a couple of them so it's probably a no.

Wait, why am I even considering spending $50 on a single stamp set?! I would never buy those stencils or pastes so they're $0 value to me. Regardless of how much I like the stamps I just can't justify that price. I might look for a font that is similar but I'm going to save my money.

The more I look at the images I think I only love a couple of them so it's probably a no. I am waaayyyy overthinking this today, but I was looking forward to this reveal and am disappointed. According to Tim in his live, he had no idea the dies were being produced. He found out last night. That was SSS. I think the pricing reflects that. And I think it was poorly thought out on SSS part. (But that does give me hope that maybe he will collaborate with SSS in the future for dies for his SA stamps. He has repeatedly said there will be no more sets of dies from sizzix to go with his sets, as there have been in the past.) TH stamps usually run $25-29.99. Those two tiny stencils (which I like, but not at that price, and they are not full sized like his other stencils) and two mini (NOT full size) pastes do not add $20 more value. And then 29.99 on top of that for dies??? Nah. The more makes I see, the more I like the snowman and the reindeer. But, alas, there will be other snowmen and reindeer. And I drowned some of my Stamptember sorrow into the Taylored Expressions Christmas create-in-quads and dies the other day, so.....

I missed the beginning, so thanks for sharing that detail. I was wondering because two days ago when I looked there was only one TH listing. Most of the shapes are not terrible to fussy cut, except the reindeer, and I don't think TH would use dies in his style of art anyway. I applaud SSS in the sense that it will be a great money maker for them, even if only a small portion of buyers get the dies. I like the sweater (Laura's rainbow ones esp), the Santa, and snowman. I don't actually have a Santa stamp, even though I make hundreds of Xmas cards every year. I don't think I have a snowman either. But I think I prefer die cutting to stamping these days, and I prefer buying pre colored ephemera even more!

I'm watching Jennifer McGuire's video using the TH set. I had been wondering about making myself some cardstock coloring stencils like she's making, glad to see that it's not too difficult and it looks really nice. I think they would definitely be worth the trouble for mass producing colored images if you prefer ink blending. I also love her Santa coming off the edge of the card. If I ever find a Santa I like I might try that layout. And CZ's masked frame was another technique I had been planning to try. And I think I know which stamp set from my stash would work to try both techniques

I am so irritated with (myself) over this last set. I do not own a single snowman stamp, the one in this set is the first one that has spoken to me. And here I sit, a couple hours later annoyed. I am not paying $50 for a stamp set when I only want one image. No. I am not. Really 🥴 Not. nononono.
If anyone wants to somehow split the set between us, let me know!
