joblackford Thank you! It's also a Mosaic Moments/SnapnCrop die -- it's the horizon die. I'm trying to use different dies, but this book is primarily the basic set. I'm hoping to branch out more with a future scrapbook. 😅 I like their dies because you can fit so much onto their grid pages with them. And I'm glad to hear a good review of the lamp - I can only hold my hands so steady when taking pictures.

Thanks, joblackford. The rolling and baking doesn't take alot of time. It's the decorating those little people. Don't think I would have the patience for it if i left it til cookies cooled. I have a recipe for baked-on icing, so I cut, place on the pan, apply the icing (and no way do I expect perfection) and then bake.

That turned out AWESOME, rymeswithpurple . I finally finished a page this month, for both the December Donna Challenge (laughter) and December 9th Sketchy Saturday. I have linked this to both those challenges, but wanted to plant it here so I remember to count my points for it. This is a time warp kinda page: a pic of my "kids" from 40 years ago for a calendar page for two years from now. POINTS: one page (20), created & shared (2). One photo and theme for Donna Challenge (11). Sketchy Saturday (5). S/I-3 hearts, T-12 sketch. Total 40.

I've been working on some simple notecards for gifts using Shimelle's Main Character Energy papers. I also have some others that are just a panel of pp on a card base, no sentiment or anything. I find them very useful. Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr and I used some other papers (? don't know what brand or collection) that were in my stash for a different style. All I did on 3 of these was stamping a sentiment in black. The papers are mixed media style and I didn't have die cuts or anything that went with them. Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

joblackford I love the simplicity of those cars where you just stamped, especially considering that they’re sympathy cards I think it works well.

joblackford I love the simplicity of those cars where you just stamped, especially considering that they’re sympathy cards I think it works well. Thanks! I was quite happy with them. I never really know what more to do with mixed media backgrounds when they have a really pretty image on them already, although I did figure out something for some more... I had all of these butterflies already stamped and colored so I used up two things on these cards Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr And one 360 stenciled sample that I stamped a cheers inside. I was hoping to find a good birthday sentiment to fit in there but my dad likes to say cheers to mean thank you, so maybe he will be able to use this. Dec share by jo.blackford, on Flickr That should be the end of my cardmaking for the year. I might draft some digital JYC pages but we're heading out of town on Tuesday so I should stop crafting and start packing and cleaning

layered cut file in a shadowbox for my bestie - this cut file was hard to cut without tearing and it's not perfect but hopefully she'll like it anyway

Linda, I love your layered sewing machine art. The shadowbox is perfect and if she's a sewer, she will love it.

I just posted all of our Philadelphia/eastern PA scrapbook pages on my Instagram -- still learning the lighting with my Canvas lamp, but it's definitely a huge improvement over trying to get photos from the same height every time manually. http://instagram.com/p/C1iKt9qxZtn (I have no idea why the embed says the post won't work, but if you click on it, it should work?)
