I was surprised that no one seems to have mentioned the new MSP glue gun product. Are we all just pretending it doesn't exist because of who makes it? Or does no one have one yet? I'm intrigued by the partnership with Nuvo that has them selling an empty Nuvo glue bottle that you can fill with whatever glue you actually like. So far all the people I've watched have put a different brand in theirs. Do you think the partnership is part of an agreement with Tonic about the stamp platform? I wouldn't have thought they'd want to work with her. I really want to hate this but for so many people with overuse injuries and other hand issues it could be quite helpful and it seems to be a well designed product. Is $35 just too expensive though? What do the Peas think?

Personally I think it is ridiculous that we need a tool just to use the darn glue bottles, but I get it because I have the same problems. I had a bottle of Nuvo adhesive and stopped using it because it was so hard to squeeze.
If it actually worked, I might go for it, but I saw one review that said she had problems just squeezing the handles, and the glue dripped into the pink squishy thing (forgot the name of the material) and that it was kind of hard to clean out. I have not watched any other reviews but I am sure some will say it is the best thing ever.
ETA: to clarify, I do not have problems sqeezing, I have problems getting the glue to come out, if that makes sense.

At first glance it reminds me of the ATG that everyone thought was so unwieldy for what it was and now I can stop that thing on a dime. I’m starting to get arthritis in my hands, so I assume eventually I’ll need one of these. By then I’m sure another manufacturer will have made improvements and I’ll be happy to purchase it from them.

Looks intriguing. Jennifer McGuire has a video - starts about 8 minutes in. It's a lot of money for the convenience of squeezing with a handle, avoiding the need to cap and not worrying about clogged glue tips. But, it's nice to have options. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbuClkHUyDg&t=2s

I have not heard of it until now. I do have arthritis in my hands; specifically my thumbs. It would have to be very easy to squeeze for me. I can see liking this for when I use clear gorilla glue for making faux acrylic embellishments. I have troubles keeping my hands steady sometimes.
But, ugh, the person that's selling it!

I thought it was a pretty good review. Simon Hurley said he’s going to review it soon too. The tiny fine tip bottles that JMcG recommends were murder on my hands, especially with matte medium in them. I think the trigger action would be hard on my hands and switching to a medium sized bottle of Bearly Art glue solved the squeezing problems I was having for much less investment. If I want to store my glue upside down I think I’ll support Make it by Marko.

The “patent pending” is utterly ridiculous. Isn’t this just a mini version of a caulk gun?
I’ve watch a couple videos where Jennifer McGuire used it. She made it look totally awkward to use. Can’t the stinky flower go away now.

Thanks for starting this thread, joblackford. I had seen this just this morning, and was wondering if anyone had tried it. I don't have trouble squeezing the glue bottle, but I do have trouble remembering to stick the pin back into the tip so the glue doesn't seal itself off. Karen Burniston (die designer and demonstrator) puts a wet shammy in a cup when she is going to start crafting, removes the lid from the glue bottle and upends it onto the shammy. Keeps the glue from clogging and quite a bit cheaper than the glue press.

I’ll stick with my little glue bottle. Less bulky and doesn’t take up valuable real estate on my desk.

Looks kind of silly and unnecessary to me. I won't buy anything from her anyway, and I'm sure she'll get a patent on that too. JMHO.

Kinda ignoring it! I don't think it's a great idea to start with - I can see so many things that could be awkward (glue leaking, just as hard to squeeze just different, space consuming!) and I don't like the seller. I looked at it so little when I first saw it, I assumed it was a hot glue gun variation until you posted here!!!

I don't have an opinion one way or the other about the manufacturer of this item. That being said, everyone I have seen that has used this has loved it! So, I guess it just depends on what your needs are, and if it works for you. I wouldn't have even thought about getting one, but then I see all the positive reviews, so now it's kind of a maybe for me.

I don’t use Nuvi and the like, so I’m not really the target audience. I did use the fine tip glue applicators one upon a time but they don’t work. Since switching to Lawn Fawn glue tube, I’ve had zero issues with clogged tips.
$35 so you can squeeze glue is absurd.

Well, aside from my negative feelings about the company, I don't understand how squeezing a trigger to make the glue come out is any better for your hands and wrists than squeezing a bottle? And I also can't wrap my head around it being any easier to control the glue flow.

Well, aside from my negative feelings about the company, I don't understand how squeezing a trigger to make the glue come out is any better for your hands and wrists than squeezing a bottle? And I also can't wrap my head around it being any easier to control the glue flow. I wonder about that too. I haven't tried it but I think the idea is that just a light squeeze on the trigger amplifies your squeezing power so in theory it might help some people, but then I would imagine controlling how much came out might be a bigger problem. I hope we get to see some honest reviews from people who have different hand issues. Thanks for starting this thread, joblackford. I had seen this just this morning, and was wondering if anyone had tried it. I don't have trouble squeezing the glue bottle, but I do have trouble remembering to stick the pin back into the tip so the glue doesn't seal itself off. Keeps the glue from clogging and quite a bit cheaper than the glue press. I am hit or miss with putting a pin or lid on too. My glue bottle is getting empty so I'm leaving lying on its side in the middle of gluing things lately, with a silicone mat to protect from drips. I think a damp shammy in the bottom of an $8 glue rest like this might set me up for success. www.etsy.com/shop/MakeItbyMarko?listing_id=1079288641

It looks to big and bulky. I’m happy with my Bearly Arts glue. That was my first reaction too! I need to get myself a big bear refill this week. I was given my first bottle years ago and it's lasted so long and worked so well for me with the fine tip.

Not sure how the gadget makes squeezing easier, but if I had problems with my hands, I would try it. I like the idea of using a damp shammy to keep the glue tip open. I'll have to try it.

scrapperal and joblackford, another idea is to put a baby wipe in the cup/bowl. No need to clean it later like the shammy, just toss it. I assumed it was a hot glue gun variation until you posted here!!! That was why I opened the link I saw just before this thread. I was thinking it might be a good gift for dd who sometimes crafts with a glue gun.

okay, i had to youtube it first before commenting.
at first it looked like another gadgety gadget thingy that would be more of a novelty than useful. for me, i think it might be.
here's what i like: -fine tip nozzle -squeeze trigger
here's what i don't like: -it's bulky for something that holds a relatively small bottle -it's a small bottle -you can't use just any bottle in there, you have to use theirs -i use a lot of glue so i would be constantly refilling that bottle or changing it out -i didn't see the price but i'm assuming it's not cheap

It looks gimmicky and unwieldy to me. I feel like the paper crafting industry people are constantly trying to get the next cash influx. paper doesn’t have a very high margin so I can’t blame them, but it leads to a lot of random product. Like this. I have zero interest in this. Don’t care to even watch the reviews. It’s not a product I have any need or desire for and it’s just clutter IMHO.
Now, if I had hand strength issues I might take a larger look. However, the decanting of the glue into their bottle is another possible hassle for people who do. Trading one problem for another…
Hard pass.

I've been thinking about this some more. I love my liquid glue, alternate between the Nuvo, Bearly Arts, Art Glitter and now I have a bottle of the Artis from Scrapbook.com. The only time I ever have any problem squeezing out the glue is when the nozzle clogs - really, with all of these, as long as I have the bottle tilted so the glue is at the tip, I hardly need to squeeze the bottle at all. If I do need to squeeze, I know I need to clear out the nozzle. The only glue that I sometimes have trouble squeezing out is Mono Multi, and that would be miserable to try to transfer into the special bottle.
Honestly, I'm a tool tramp. I love new tools and have to really restrain myself from buying them all. This one, I only gave a passing glance.

I love new tools and have to really restrain myself from buying them all. This one, I only gave a passing glance. I agree with everything here. I have all of these glues, too, and they all work great. I haven't had a problem squeezing any of them, but I do have to lay them on their side or upside down if they are nearly empty. I have a Make it by Marko glue holder thingy for the Lawn Fawn and Gina K tubes and it works great. It doesn't fit my bigger bottles, so I'll just put those in a shot or other small glass. Mono Multi seems way too thick to transfer to the empty Nuvo bottle, yeah that would be more trouble than its worth. I find the new glue tool looks unwieldy, as someone else said. If I had arthritis I'd consider it, I guess, but so far my hands are okay so I'll keep squeezing my glue bottles and working those hand muscles, keeping them supple and strong lol. I agree that Jennifer McGuire looked very awkward using it. I hate the thought of it taking up room on my desk, too.
