Wow joblackford, your donations are going to be SO appreciated! (love) I have only made a few Hanukkah cards so far and am feeling "eh" about their design and uninspired to create other designs. Rather than concentrating on making a bunch of Hanukkah cards last week like I said I would upthread, I got knee deep in general winter holiday cards and working on PF holiday classes that I haven't completed (one more to go). I need to get on the ball after all my bitching and moaning,  yes? |

I think SSS might've sucked some of the joy out of it for you, and there are so many other projects to work on this time of year. Making a few is better than making none  and the inspiration will return... or you'll be ready when the holiday rolls around again next year. You inspired several people here to get supplies and plan some cards so that's a big win! I really needed a push to get started. Now I'm getting impatient to finish off these last few cards because I'd prefer to be working on something else right now. I'm really happy to have made these, but now I want to do something else! Inspiration is just like that. Early in the month I was trying to make fall cards to get in the fall feelings, but I set aside my die cut Noel cards which I had just organized. Now I'm realizing I barely made a single Halloween card this year! I'll see what catches my attention next. I have several half-started things sitting around that I just need to finish or put away until next year. |

What I found most interesting about the link (and, yeah, I was looking at it early this morning before you posted azcrafty, but didn't notice at that time) is that SSS dies are made in the US. I wonder if that explains, at least to an extent, some of their pricing.... |

Right?! And didn't we make similar comments all through their STAMPtember? I wonder if that's why they started pointing out their dies are made in the US.
Although given that I didn't notice earlier this morning, maybe they always have and it just took this long for me to notice.

I've been poking around SSS today and they have a new Hanukkah set out. AND, they actually made 2 examples for it, so yay SSS  Granted, compared to what they do for the Christmas sets, it's kind of lame to do only 2, but...it's a lot better than what happened last month! WOOT! I wish they would send me and a couple of other Jewish people their Hanukkah products. I'd be happy to come up with designs for their site. IMHO, they really do need a few Jews to call on when they release Jewish products. |

After me being irritated with them about the lack of Hanukkah inspiration on their site, and their refusal to acknowledge those of us who reached out to them, I think that's probably a no-go. |

Since the company wasn’t very helpful, maybe you could create a subset group here for Hanukkah or other Jewish based cards, etc. Having a group of like minded card makers would make for great inspiration and fellowship.

I sent a box of holiday cards to BSTS last week and was happy to see they specifically acknowledged them as Christmas and Hanukkah cards. I’m hoping that some can be distributed this year but if I was not early enough at least they have a headstart for next year.

I saw it first thing this morning and really like it too. We have such similar tastes. I never bought that sentiment because it is SO LARGE. Now I’m regretting it 😛
