I thought I also saw that customs issues in Europe had been cleared up; don't know if that was a problem with Canada also. I am having a very hard time engaging with the homework for this event, despite having plenty of time. Part of that might be a sense of guilt over too much crafting while I should be job hunting. I've been doing very small, simple PP projects an hour or so per weekday -- nothing intense. Part of it might be having t oo much time. But I suspect some of it is also coming slowly to the conclusion that Pinkfresh is not "all that" for me. I'm really trying to figure out (if/)why. I am going to try very, very hard to engage with the homework this coming weekend, so that I can participate as fully as possible in the event the following weekend. I already know that the PPP/Mindy Eggen class is too late in the day here for me to participate live, but I'm hoping to do the rest, despite my...misgivings. My box finally arrived on Thursday, I picked it up on my way home from work. I do enjoy unboxing a crafty box. I'm feeling the same way, Shakti - minus the job hunting (but wishing you luck!). I'm not feeling it, but that may just be the general February malaise I usually get. But I'm also just burnt out on PF, and I'm not feeling their style right now. I love Yana Smakula, though, so I'm hoping her card will get me in the mood for the event. My feelings and mood are just all over the place, lol.

I'm hoping you both start to find some excitement in the upcoming event. PF is definitely my kind of style so I was thrilled with most of the box and my homework has been done for a while. I've even worked ahead on some steps because I'm a certified snail when it comes to crafting and I want to try to keep up. In the mean time I'm working on my never ending supply of Crop & Create classes. Ugh...

Yes, marg, that's it EXACTLY -- just not feeling their style right now. I'd gotten as far as cutting bases and panels, so I just sat down to start stamping. Immediately had trouble with the sentiments from the butterflies. I think I'm going to try re-inking my VFC Nocturne and try again tomorrow morning. I'll go see what else I can do in the next hour or so.

OK! Regrouping on the homework, doing it in the order of how much I like the class rather than chronologically. I've chosen inks!
My favorite is the strawberries, which unfortunately doesn't really list homework. I figure I can stamp and heat emboss the gold image. Do you think it's the larger than A2 panels that's supposed be stamped on? There are two images stamped for the two cards, so it makes sense to me....

I've got the card bases done, the card panels cut out. Trying to swatch all my Taylored Expressions inks so I can choose what to use for this event. Many of the shades are similar, it's hard to tell what they actually look like until the ink dries.
Hoping I'll get the rest of the homework done so I can play with some of the make n takes today!

Today I'm planning to go thru what I prepped for homework a few weeks ago to make sure I have everything ready to just ink blend and assemble during class. Then I'm going to work on some of the make & takes to get my excitement back up for class. I'm so glad Jennifer McGuire did a video on her butterfly make & take. I just could not grasp how she made the frame opening longer from the written instructions. Duh, her video matched exactly what the words said! Happy crafting everyone!

I have homework done for 4 (lanterns), 5 (strawberries), and 2 (citrus). I won't be doing 3 (hummingbird), at least not next weekend. Trying to decide whether to try 1 (butterflies) again, or 6 (Jennifer), or move on to the adulting portion of the day.

I’m ready to roll. Completed two of the M&T cards today as a consolation for having to miss crafting day (migraine). Seeing a friend tomorrow who is also doing the event and we’re going to work on some more of the M&Ts.
I’m sorry for those who are lacking interest, but Marg, I’m so glad you finally got your kit. Hurray for that!

I am all prepared for classes this weekend. Working on make and takes already. I am really looking forward to Yana's class. I love that Pinkfresh is changing instructors. It's a good mix. I love Lea and Heather's cards too but their style is getting a bit predictable. Hope they change it up a little.
But I am super excited for this weekend.

I'm ready! Homework is done & I also did some embossing as well so I don't have to try to rush through that during classes.
I completed the make & takes this weekend for Classes 1, 2 & 3. Skipped class 4 make & takes, finished class 5 make & takes (but changed up the second one a bit) and did the 1st make & take from Jennifer's class.
I'll likely not do the class 4 make & takes. I love Yana's cards from this class but the make & takes are too similar to each other & are not really inspiring me right now. I may attempt Jennifer's second make & take this week if I have time before the event.

Just finished Anett's make and takes and they are stunning. I follow her as a scrapbooker but she makes really pretty cards. Her ideas are always so different. I hope PF brings her back for another event.

I really was planning on finishing the homework today but only finished Class 1. I plan to finish by Friday so I can do the classes live this weekend.
I am very excited. The cards are very different from one another. I plan to make the make and takes this weekend too or maybe next week.

So for Jennifer McGuire's class, how many folks here are on "team recycle some packaging" vs. "team cut some acetate"? That would be my last homework step, assuming I decide I'm on the latter not the former....

That would be my last homework step, assuming I decide I'm on the latter not the former.... Since I don't permenantly store my stamps & dies in their original packaging and I trash it, that's what I will use for the card. I have acetate but honestly don't know where it's at in my craft room.

My only concern with using packaging would be if I decided I wanted to resell some products.
Of course, she's recommending using the outer sleeve, not the acetate carrier sheets. I think I have a stash of those cellophane types of sleeves/bags/whatever you call them....

I think I'm leaning toward Team Acetate. I have it, I know where it is (thanks to the reorganizing I've been doing), and it seems so much sturdier than cellophane packaging.

I hope you feel better MDscrapaholic. I ended up with a full weekend scheduled with other stuff so now I'm not sure how many classes I'm going to be able to watch and create.
