I set up my workspace for tomorrow -- and found the smallest die from the frame set, which had been missing for a week or two. Stuck to the bottom of my glass mat.
I like the butterflies, but not the washi, I think.

OMG I've been playing with the butterfly suite of products and man I just cannot get enough of it! I love the shadow box design. I wasn't thrilled with the colors when I saw the card samples in the book but they really grew on me as I was stenciling.
I haven't put my sentiments on this card yet but I this easel design is fun.

So, my husband's creative hobby involves expensive and dangerous equipment -- he belongs to a maker space and spends much of the weekend there.
At 3:30 this morning, he awoke in a bit of a panic, realizing he hadn't properly shut down the oxygen-acelelene welding set up he'd been working with. He grumped, sighed, and otherwise sulked and stewed noisily for a bit, then leapt up, showered, and dressed. He left around 5.
I never did really get back to sleep. I'm exhausted already. I fear it will be a tough day. He also ate the last eggs and only brewed enough coffee for himself. </whining>

Second and last day today! I’m finally feeling a little better and hope to participate today. I managed to do the first card of Anett’s class yesterday but nothing else. Crawled back into bed and watched on iPad. The cards are beautiful!
Hoping everyone has an enjoyable day!

Glad you are feeling a bit better MDscrapaholic. Love everyone's gorgeous cards! I think Pinkfresh really outdid themselves with this event. I absolutely love the butterfly cards and I was surprised that it's not that hard to make.

I only made the very first card yesterday, but I absolutely love it. I was under-the-weather so I alternated between watching the videos and napping. I'm really pleased with the projects I've seen so far. I'm looking forward to doing Yana's class in 20 minutes, but my desk is still a mess from yesterday so I guess I better go clean it!

Glad you're feeling better, marg. I managed to get most of the first card done, too, and then just watched the rest. She (Yana) is amazing! For her first time live-stream she was really good.

I definitely need to get me some of those PinkFresh brushes for ink blending. My usual ones are too big.

This event is the best till date from Pinkfresh. We got products early and I was prepared for the event so I am finishing most cards during live videos. All the instructors have been so amazing till now. Anett's class was my most favorite and also Yana's. I just finished those strawberry cards and they are divine. Pinkfresh is really one of the best when it comes to designing products and all of their instructors make them look good. They have amazing products to work with so their creativity really shines.
My husband and mother in law loves all the cards I made during the classes so far. I always love PF designs but they definitely outdid themselves in this event. Yesterday they had a glitch when someone reported a video in Facebook and it got deleted. They had to restart Anett's class because of that and she was so calm and composed and PF team worked and answered everyone without panicking.
Kinnari is always listening to all the customer feedback and tries to improve her events. I got to know her as an owner of PF since I started doing their events but I recently interacted with her for some issue for the event and she was so helpful. She genuinely went out of the way and checked back with me to make sure I was all set. I hope she comes to one of the kick off or closing video. She seems like a wonderful person and I would love to know the brain behind Pinkfresh.
I can't wait to see more information about their event announcement information after their closing video today. I would highly recommend their event to anyone on the fence. They are wonderful and their products and instructors are top notch. I am their forever fan.

Like twillerbee, I’m impressed with PF. This is my third event with them and I’ll just keep on coming back for more. They are all so kind, supportive, and receptive to their customers’ comments and concerns. A+. I'm looking forward to knowing what company they’re planning on partnering with next. Everything crossed that it’s one we all get excited about!

What in the world is the issue with people reporting the videos? Are they doing that on purpose? Does that happen with YouTube Lives?

Does someone have it out for PinkFresh? This is the second interruption of someone reporting the video.

I fell asleep after Heather's class :-(
i finished 3 or 4 cards over the weekend and am all-but-assembly on a few more.
I have determined what I don't like about Pinkfresh. I'm sure you'll all find it ridiculous, but I yam what I yam. They're too stylized for me is I think the best way to describe it. That's NOT what strawberry plant leaves look like and butterflies are NEVER pink IRL. The butterflies I can work with, obviously, and not color any I stamp pink and not use the pink ones on the wash. But the berries, which I thought I loved until I started working with them and getting irked....
I will take a hard look tomorrow at the set coming out that Jennifer previewed. All of the card techniques used with this set were a lot of fun -- I'm just a stick in the mud in this weird way.

So I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that Spellbinders is the guest company for the next event.

I got one a month ago and haven't even taken it out of the box yet. LOL I did have a chance to use my new StampWheel and I really like it!

Since I don't have any PF inks, that's what I did. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well so didn't get to participate as much as I would have liked. I thought the butterflies/leaves on the washi tape were close to usual coloring.

Many of the butterflies on the washi were pretty realistic -- just not the three or four pink ones. I made my inked butterflies blue and yellow. I don't love them -- they didn't quite live up to my vision. I have plans to try again in two shades of blue with red-orange and/or yellow accents. This guy link is my inspiration. I was nervous about the size of the stamp, but I was able to work with it just fine -- so glad I got my GISTI :-)

I'm okay with Spellbinders, you can count on them to bring a lot of products to the event. And who knows , they mighty bring something unexpected. And I bet they are partnering up for colored cardstocks. I hope they will send us in the package or at least have a special pack of the cardstocks available for purchase.

When all was said and done, I did enjoy the event. I'm not sure why I was having such a problem engaging beforehand. And while I can only really see myself using about half, maybe a little less, of the products again, that's way ahead of C&CD, as an example.
I do like Spellbinders, and the pack of papers they included in the one C&CD I attended was fantastic. Each time I do one of these events I gain more understanding of what works for me and is attractive to me, so I just need to slow down and really look at what's being offered. August is also vacation time for me. I think I could make it work, but I'll really need to consider carefully.

I had a great time this weekend doing the classes. I got all of the cards finished except for the second card Jennifer did (I just didn't care for it so I just watched). I loved Yana and Anett's classes. Nice to have different instructors!
In spite of the two technical issues of someone reporting the videos, I thought overall it was a well-run event. I did see that they said they are moving to YouTube for future events which should make some of the attendees happy (I saw so many complainers about Facebook).
I'm curious about the Foiling/Press Plates class...not sure if I'll sign up for it yet. Will likely sign up for the Holiday card event again this year. I like that they are collaborating with Simon Says Stamp for that one.

What a fabulous weekend! Everything was great, the product, the cards, the teachers. I got a lot of cards completed on Saturday but I was super slow on Sunday. I got the ink blending and die cutting done but just did not have enough time to assemble. I'm going to work on that soon. There are also a lot of Make & Takes that I really liked that I have not been able to get to. I am so glad they are going to YouTube lives instead of Facebook. Aside from the issues with reporting the videos yesterday, I always have issues on my iPad with FB Lives. The voice cuts in and out, I get an "unexpected error occurred with the webpage" and it closes and reloads. The pause and going back few seconds never work. I never have these issue with the Crop & Create events. As I said already, I'm bummed about Spellbinders being the next guest company. I really think this stems from the last Crop & Create. I really disliked the holiday product we got. Honestly, I was all in on the next event until I heard it was Spellbinders. Now I'm not so sure. I also, can't wait until the product is released so we get more inspiration. I'm so interested in more inspiration for the lantern set. All in all this was definitely a 9 out of 10 for me!
