kitbop Your layouts turned out great! I love that Basic Grey Christmas line - one of my favorites I’ve used.

Finally got March done. I started it and stepped away from it numerous times. Just couldn't seem to choose the right paper or get the balance to look right. Decided today to just do it. And I did!

What do you all think of the June sketches? It's not my favorite so far. I will probably just use the left side of the sketch and stretch it or make a one page layout.

I am leaning towards the singles as well, but I love all the tone on tone papers and rainbow themes throughout her samples.

I was hoping for something a little different, so the sketch and the main sample were a little disappointing for me. I really like the sample with the stripes curved into a rainbow shape, though. Maybe if I let this gel awhile I will feel better about this month’s class…

i purchased this and haven't done a thing with it. I hope to catch up sometime this summer when I have some time off.
Love looking at all the layouts you've all done!
I think June's sketch is different. I'll have to start with that one!

justjac - those colours and patterns are so fabulous with this sketch! I've used every sketch at least once which makes me feel like I'm getting good "value" out of this class. I used the June sketch this way layout lets hang out by kirstendrew, on Flickr And May I took the simplified 2 triangle version and turned it into this: layout floatie fashion by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Your takes on these sketches are AMAZING, kitbop! So bright and colourful, and so inventive with how you use the sketch! I think the July sketch is the answer to my prayers! (Or my wish list, anyway--I don't bother God with silly little issues like wanting a particular scrapbook sketch LOL) LOVE the circles/hearts, the tilted photos, the off-the-page huge clusters! And she has included tons of ideas to modify this with all the way from her stars to snowflakes and water splashes! You could create a whole year of monthly calendar pages with this sketch and each page would look unique. Those water splashes are speaking to me. Trying to figure out how to manage those with splats of pastes and other liquid lovelies. Do you hear the gears grinding in my brain? Might have to drive out to the lake, throw my dgs into the water and take a bunch of photos just to use that idea...

For my July page I just found paper that mimicked the clusters in the sketch. Then I did a double page for August.

Awesome pages, justjac! Awesome anniversary photos! I love the muted colours and patterns you chose, and those faux stitched lines. I didn't get around to doing the July sketch, although it is my favourite so far. I like the August sketch, too, and have it printed out--with all the different ways to attack it--but have not yet chosen papers or photos to work with it. The slanted strips with tucked in bits have me thinking about water and waves, but not sure yet.
