I use to think the Framers were wrong not to trust the voters to elect qualified individuals for president. I guess they were right after all.

Nicole Mann was born in Petaluma, CA and went to school in Rohnert Park in my neck of the woods.
She is also an F-18 Hornet fighter pilot. I can’t decide what is neater, that she went to the space station and she could be one of the first women to walk on the moon. Or she is/was an F-18 Hornet combat fighter pilot.
Mann is a Colonel in the Marine Corps and served as a combat fighter pilot and test pilot in the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet. She deployed twice aboard aircraft carriers in support of combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is the first indigenous woman from NASA to go to space.

My spouse has the subscription to digital NYTimes, but yesterday they had an article on Evangelical conservatives who are no longer attending church and a large factor of that is they've turned Trump into their golden calf. If someone else has a sub and can link, it's a really dystopian look at the cult of Trump.
