Good morning.
I don't have anything planned today. Since I'm not feeling great it'll probably be more rest. I'm having residual issues from last week's stuff.
Dh will likely have the takeout he was going to have last night for dinner. What's on your menu?
What do you have planned this weekend?
We are going to a new-to-us coffee place tmw am. The rest of the weekend will be just doing light stuff at home. I do want to bake a batch of cookies and practice macarons, but that will depend upon how I'm doing. Sat eve I think we're planning to watch the Monk movie. I loved that show and really like Tony Shaloub. He was great in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. What are you up to?
Wishing everyone a happy, relaxing, fun and for those who need it, healing weekend.

I don't have anything planned today. Since I'm not feeling great it'll probably be more rest. I'm having residual issues from last week's stuff. That stinks. Hopefully some rest will be restorative. What do you have planned this weekend? I'm working on a scarf. We have a staff retreat next week Wednesday. We are supposed to have a white elephant gift exchange. I thought a scarf made from my stash would be a good one. I'm sure others will give silly gifts. We are also going to a Krampus parade tomorrow evening. I've never been and they have it every year. I thought it might be fun to go get some pictures. All sorts of people will be in costume, there's a contest. So, I'm hoping somebody will let me pose with them for my December Daily album. LOL! Jeremy's going to die of embarassment. Santa last weekend and Krampus this weekend. But I don't care. I'm riding out every bit of holiday spirit I can muster. Sunday will just be sitting at home working on the scarf just enjoying my tree. I'm unsure what is for dinner tonight. But, I brought home a new soup cookbook yesterday so I've got some new recipes to try. However, it will require a grocery run and Jeremy says his day is going to be long today. So he may just get take out.

Jeremy and my dh can have dinner together. Dh really wants good French fries. He's not normally a junk food eater, but he feels like good French fries and a chicken sandwich. So, I might pick that up for him tonight. Sounds like a fun weekend jeremysgirl. Enjoy it. Care to share the cookbook name? (She says while opening an Amazon window! )

You make me laugh scrapmaven. This is a brand new book too. I looked through it yesterday and tabbed all the recipes that looked good to me and then handed it over to Jeremy.

Hey all - been super busy - hope you're all well! I'm making lasagna tonight. I've almost finished my Christmas shopping - struggling with my daughter's boyfriend. Any ideas for a 22 year old college student? They've been together forever, so kind of feel like I've run out of the easy ideas. The air pods were a big hit last year.

Off to run errands. We're going to a Christmas party tomorrow night. My friend always has amazing food and a desert table that is laden with wonderful fare. I take pralines to add to the table. Dinner tonight will be Lombardy Chicken. TGIF!!

Thank you jeremysgirl for the cookbook info. Dh really enjoys soups and stews. Who wants to hold cadoodlebug down while I grab the pralines? Yummy. Your meme is clever today, too. Darcy Collins, does he play video games? A gift card might be well received. What about an experience for the two of them?

Good evening. I had nothing much planned for today so I just jumped on a bus and train and took myself into the city. I did a bit of shopping, wandered the markets, bought a few more things, then had lunch and some glühwein before coming back home. I still need to get a Christmas gift or two for DH - maybe that will happen Monday or Tuesday. I need to talk to him before then to agree on what we are going to do. If not, he will get me something super expensive and I will feel bad because I didn’t get him something super, or vice versa.
Weekend plans - hopefully we’ll get our Christmas tree and start decorating. We were going to do that last weekend, but super snow day got in the way.
Dinner is homemade pizza.

I would do an experience, but it's hard to know when they'll be in the same state!

Happy Friday! Gloomy day here with high temps, scattered rain and humidity out the wazoo. Tomorrow will be a repeat with lots of rain, which will bring in our next cold front on Sunday. I actually don't mind the type of winter we have here. Mild temps most of the time, a day or two of cold weather, then back to the nice temps. Never stays too cold to really annoy me. scrapmaven - please rest up as much as possible so that you can get better quickly! jeremysgirl - your weekend plans sound like so much fun. Can't wait to see what good soups you discover in your new book. Survived the annual company holiday party last night. It was fun to get dressed up and drag out some of the nice jewelry that I rarely wear these days. Our natural science museum is amazing so it was fun to mingle amongst the dinosaurs and fossils, even though I felt a bit like a dinosaur myself because there were SO MANY young people! Fun story, back in the 90s DH worked for someone who was on the board and was a big donor to the museum. He was having a video made to show people what they offered and DH was in charge of working with the film crew. The work was done after hours in the museum and the entire crew was locked in overnight! He had fun telling people last night that he had spent the night in that museum - years before the movie Night at the Museum came out! Today's plans are to try to finish up some Christmas gift bags and get some quilting done on a few zipper bags. Was planning to stay home all day, but the shirts I had made a few weeks ago are in so I need to run by the tailor's and pick them up. The last two I had made were more formal but these are fun tartans, stripes and a fine wale corduroy and will work as well with jeans as they will my dress pants. Not sure what we will do for dinner. There are several options in the freezer, just need to make a decision and thaw it.

We were invited to DH's brothers company Holiday Party, at a Local Pizza place in the town we grew up in (BIL business is in that town) So pizza and I assume I will have a beer....I am on call tonight so one before 7pm is fine. We have an unwrapped gift for the Toys for Tots donation box. I am also making little whoopee pies for the dessert table. I am going to crush candy canes to sprinkle on the cream cheese filling edges. That should make them festive!!! Scrapmaven...Get some rest and feel better (((HUGS))) jeremysgirl, I am a fan of soups, thanks for posting the book!!

**GypsyGirl** , that's a really fun story about the film crew and museum. That was a fun movie, too. I was told that the museum district is very nice and I really want to see it. karenlou and **GypsyGirl**, thank you. This is part of the issue that I've been dealing w/and I'm not good w/limbo. So, that doesn't help. Darcy Collins , does he enjoy cooking? What about a cookbook and supplies to make stuff, like a Mexican cuisine cookbook and fajita set or pasta cookbook and pasta dishes/supplies? I'm sorry that I'm not being helpful. I am trying to think up stuff for my sons and I'm stuck, too.

Not sure what’s for dinner. I am headed to the doctors. I was there on Monday with a lot of wheezing and coughing. Can’t remember if I posted it here but she thought maybe I had bronchitis a couple weeks ago and I didn’t clear up. Well, it’s not any better and it’s a little worse in my eyes. So I’m gonna go and see what she thinks. I think I’m gonna stop and get some fresh veggies and make a big pot of soup this weekend maybe. Supposed to be fairly decent here. It’s nice and sunny today. Helping my mom get ready to go to Florida. She leaves on January 2.

I was told that the museum district is very nice and I really want to see it. The museum district here is truly awesome, as is the theatre district downtown. Hopefully you will be able to visit long enough sometime so that I can show you around! I'm embarrassed to admit there are a couple of the contemporary museums that I have never visited, but they are on my to-do list this winter.

We have a birthday party for a niece after work and there will be subs served there. After that we are going to a midnight madness Christmas shopping and listening to music in one of the little downtown areas around us. Never been, so I am looking forward to it. And as I am typing this, it feels I typed all this out yesterday. So don't get board reading a repeat! I still need to make a dessert for our Cousin's Christmas. I am thinking a pound cake that I will cut up and bring mixed berries and whipped cream to go with it. Or my standard raspberry lemonade cake. The weather is 55F here now, which is very odd for December! So tonight will be nice since everything is outside and we won't freeze to death.

I’ve been up and out and about since 7:30. Poppy had to be dropped at the kennel. Dd heard our TJ’s had the mystery bags in. Sold out of course when I stopped by. Luke is home with a cold so I ran DD’s errands too. I was going to ride my spin bike but my body said no. All my tumors were benign thank goodness. Supposed to meet another dd at a brewery with igloos tonight. We’ll eat there. I want to work on my greenhouse but dh drilling the hole for the cords is holding me up. I don’t want to put everything in to have to take it all out. @thegypsygirl what an awesome place for a party. The best recipe from last night’s party were the lemon meringue squares. I can’t find her actual recipe online. My friend had her cookbook. christine58 I hope they can get your lung issue cleared up.

Today is cleaning ladies day and I am expecting them soon. We have the dishwasher repair guy coming and I have a Caesar salad to make for tonight as I have a party to go to. I am wearing a black dress, pink shawl and pumps.
I am going to a new bakery today for mince tarts and that’s about it. Things are great! Also the kids will be home for the weekend and I cannot wait to have them at home.

We’re having the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and vegetables we didn’t eat last night. The meat wasn’t thawed.
I woke up with a cold and after physical therapy (where I hit a milestone and did 10 minutes of full round cycling on the bike…up to this point I did what they call “bopping”) I came home and slept for two solid hours. I still feel lousy but need to work on fully recovering before I return to work on Monday.

DH decided that he wanted to start wearing his wedding ring again. Since he was a mechanic for all of our married life, he wasn’t able to wear a ring due to safety issues. He tried his wedding ring on and, of course, it’s too small. So off we went today on a road trip to get him a new ring. I wasn’t spending hundreds of dollars on a ring so we went to a cute little shop and found a sterling silver one with a black design. It was $29.00 and he loves it. After that score, we went out for lunch. I had a chicken, spinach, green apple, Brie and walnut flatbread and it was delicious! I brought half home for supper.

TGIF! I’ve stayed off of here this week because I’ve had a poor attitude and didn’t want to bring it to the board. Tonight is the last night of having the grandsons here. Love them, but they are exhausting… I’ve about got my Christmas shopping completed. Now I need to start wrapping. I detest wrapping presents. Got a busy weekend ahead. Lot of things to do for work. Sorry you are still feeling poorly scrapmaven. The boys wanted chicken nuggets for dinner. I am having a sweet chili beef bowl.

Dinner will be rechauffe chicken/rice/broccoli/cheese thing that I made the other night. Unless my sister shows up and wants something more exciting. I haven’t read today’s thread yet, but I wanted to respond to a few of yesterday’s posts: destined2bmom and scrappintoee (sorry if I left anyone out, I just buzzed through the thread), thank you for the Hanukkah wishes. I don’t actively celebrate, but will be doing candles and gifts and dinner at DS’s house on Sunday. cadoodlebug, sorry I didn’t manage to organize a meetup in Napa! Can you meet me at the scrapbook store in Dixon sometime? sueg, that baby girl is practically all grown up now. She’s beautiful! The Birdhouse Lady, so many congrats to you and your family. Grandkids are the best.
