Yeah, he didn't last Wednesday, either. Whining is just his schtick. This gives him somebody to blame it on (his second favorite thing), even though we all know he's just lazy and doesn't really like being where he's not fawned over and fed.

Not TFG but 18 people in Arizona indicted.. 2020 election charges!! He(Kyle Cheney) also noted that there are "seven additional people charged in this indictment who have not yet been served." So their names remain redacted," the reporter added. Of Ward, the filing states she "was the chair of the Arizona Republican party." "She organized the fake electors' vote on December 14, 2020, and voted for Trump-Pence as a fake elector, falsely stating that she was 'duly elected and qualified.' After voting, Ward declared the Arizona Republican electors as the 'true electors,'" according to the filling. "She later urged Pence to accept false electoral votes for Trump-Pence on January 6, 2021. She did not withdraw her vote even though no legal challenge successfully changed the outcome of Arizona's 2020 Presidential Election." The news broke the same day as it was revealed that the former president, Mark Meadows, and Rudy Giuliani are unindicted co-conspirators in the criminal case over the state of Michigan's fake elector plot that hoped to reverse presidential election results in 2020. www.rawstory.com/arizona-charges-11-fake-electors-trump/

He just wants to whine and complain. I can’t stand whining from kids. From an adult man it’s even worse.

I like this perspective on the trial unfit, unworthy and unqualifiedTaylor A. Smith @fpotustruth Making hush money payments doesn’t make you a criminal. It makes you sneaky, dishonest, and devious.
Purchasing good and favorable stories to help you and your campaign while at the same time paying for bad and made up stories to be published against your opponents, doesn’t make you a criminal. It makes you weak, desperate, pathetic, and a fraud.
Having sex with an adult film actress and another model while your wife is pregnant and or has recently gave birth, doesn’t make you a criminal. It makes you untrustworthy, disloyal, irresponsible, and careless.
Out of everything, it should furthermore prove that the individual that committed these acts, is incapable of being or acting ‘presidential’. It should shine another bright light on how unfit he truly is for the office that he seeks.
Falsifying business records is a crime. Conspiracy to undermine the integrity of an election is a crime. No matter who you are or what title you may hold. No matter how you much cry and whine about it after the fact. No matter how many excuses that you have, and no matter how hard you try to play the victim. The fact will remain, that these are crimes.
If it’s a scam, then WE will find out during or after the trial. If it’s a witch-hunt then WE will find out during or after the trial. If there was no crime committed, then WE will see during or after the trial if there was a crime or not.
The jury has been selected and seated. The trial has started. He needs to go through this process without the circus and without spitting in the face of justice. It shouldn’t be this hard for a ‘strongman’ to be a ‘strong man’.
Americans don’t want to hear from him, he’s exhausting. At this point WE only need to hear from the judge, lawyers, witnesses, and the jury in the end when it’s all over.
Even before the ruling is handed out, as it stands, the former disgraced occupant of the WH is the most Unfit, Unworthy, Unqualified, and Undeserving candidate to run for POTUS in this nation’s history.

I have been following the trial closely this week and I have a question:
Why isn't the judge making a ruling about the violations of the gag order? Trump continues to talk and talk and talk about the case, the jurors, the prosecution team and Judge Merchan has not ruled. Witness intimidation is a real thing, especially from a former president who is currently running for office. I was hoping the judge would rule and start fining him. Better yet, throw him in jail for a night or two.

But there are risks that Trump is intimidating witnesses and jurors. PBS had a really good segment about it www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/show/new-york-hush-money-trial-judge-considers-if-trump-violated-gag-order

They say in his case, that pocket change to him. So he would just hand over checks if this were the case. Another would be to throw him in jail for a night or two. As much as I hate to say it, he is a former president and the Secret Service aspect of that circus would be too much. I don't think it would be as easy to throw him in for a night or two compared to you or me. I did hear one scenario that I loved. Give him an ankle bracelet and confine him to his home for 2 weeks. If he proved he could play nice, then he would be allowed to roam free after that. Now, I would hope part of that would also be a phone confiscation. Because if he were allowed to sit home for 2 weeks, his profile on Truth would just be one long long rant.

I do agree that $1,000 - 10,000 per offense is pocket change, but there have to be consequences! I would love to see the judge issue the fines with the proceeds being donated to Planned Parenthood. Home confinement is another viable option. I am frustrated that this man breaks the law over and over and over again yet faces little to no consequences for his actions.

Trump and his lawyer are making really outrageous claims regarding immunity
Now: Trump's lawyer just admitted a Trump *military coup* could "well be" an "official act" that is immune from later prosecution.
Wild. If he hadn't lost the majority of the court before, he may just have. (10:38am et)

Justices Jagan and Sotomayor injecting some reasonable thinking into the debate and I wonder what the originalists are going to say about the lack of an immunity clause in the Constitution
Kaitlan Collins @kaitlancollins Justice Kagan: "The Framers did not put an immunity clause in the Constitution
Kyle Griffin @kylegriffin1 Justice Sotomayor: "I am having a hard time thinking that creating false documents, that submitting false documents, that ordering the assassination of a rival, that accepting a bribe and countless other laws that could be broken for personal gain, that anyone would say that it would be reasonable for a president or any public official to do that."

More from Sotomayor
Christine Pelosi @sfpelosi Justice Sotomayor wisely gets to the heart of the matter — contra to what Trump argues, No One - Including The President - is Above The Law.
Acyn @acyn Sotomayor: If the president decides that his rival is a corrupt person and he orders the military to assassinate him, is that within his official acts for which he can give immunity?

The liberal justices are on fire today
Brian Tyler Cohen : this is exactly why Trump is running.
Kyle Cheney @kyledcheney KBJ: "The most powerful person in the world could go into office knowing that there would be no potential penalty for committing crimes … I'm trying to understanding what the disincentive is from turning the Oval Office into the seat of criminal activity in this country."

This sums up the situation pretty well
Joe Walsh @walshfreedom He’s on trial in NYC, his lawyers are in DC trying to make the case that he’s above the law, and he was just named a co-conspirator for committing election fraud in Arizona & Michigan.
This is what it looks like when the leader of the Republican Party is a criminal.

Sorry for all of the posts today. 2 more points
Tom Nichols @radiofreetom It’s to the eternal shame of the Supreme Court that they even took up these completely insane arguments, but especially that Justice. Thomas hasn’t recused himself.
Ari Melber @arimelber These are some of the most extreme, authoritarian arguments presented to the Supreme Court in the modern era.
The lawyer for a former President literally defending a documented plot to overthrow an election as "legal" - and a hypothetical *military coup.* All out in the open.

Too bad Alito says he is not talking about the facts of this case... What is he there for IF not to listen to the facts to make a decision? Or has he already been bought off by his millionaire buds and their gifts?? *** Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's extended grilling of attorney Michael Dreeben, who is representing special counsel Jack Smith in Donald Trump's presidential immunity case, hit a sour note when he blew off an answer from the lawyer with a sharp, "I'm not talking about the particular facts of this case."That led to a chorus of complaints from legal experts who piled on the conservative justice for not caring about a Dreeben answer in which he talked about a president "making a mistake" that the DOJ attorney claimed wouldn't necessarily lead to criminal charges. *** Frequent MSNBC legal analyst Elie Mystal flipped out, writing: "Alito: "I'm not talking about the particular facts of this case." WHY? WHY THE HELL ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS F-----G CASE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?" ...worth reading the whole thing.. more on Alito!! www.rawstory.com/alito-trump/

The conservatives on the Supreme Court are already a nightmare. If Trump or another Republican gets to nominate a justice, it will get even worse. Supreme CourtBrian Tyler Cohen @briantylercohen Samuel Alito is 74. Clarence Thomas is 75. Roberts and Sotomayor are 69. The next president may very well nominate replacements for multiple (if not all!) of these justices. If Trump is president, the Supreme Court is gone for the rest of our lifetimes. That means an all-powerful executive that can commit criminal acts with impunity, a nationwide abortion ban, no restrictions on firearms, a complete dissolution of the Voting Rights Act, election vigilanteism, legalized voter suppression, and so much more.
What we saw today at SCOTUS was a preview; it will be exponentially worse if Trump wins in November.

duplicityAdam Schiff @repadamschiff During his first impeachment trial, Trump’s lawyers argued that he could not be impeached for any act, no matter how criminal, if the president believed it was in the country’s interest.
Now they argue that the only remedy for killing a political opponent is impeachment.
The inconsistency of these claims adds duplicity to their dangerousness.

The fact that the conservative justices are considering immunity for Trump is really insane
Joe Walsh @walshfreedom Remember, he’s not demanding “absolute” immunity to protect the office of the presidency or for the good of the nation or for anything like that. He’s demanding absolute immunity to commit crimes.

There is so much that is wrong with the immunity case- the delays, Thomas hearing the case and not recusing himself, the fact that they’re hearing the case at all and the fact that the conservative justices are considering immunity for assassinations, coups etc
Anthony Michael Kreis @anthonymkreis Unbelievable that Supreme Court justices who see forgiving student loans, mandating vaccines, and regulating climate change as a slippery slope toward tyranny were not clear-eyed on questions of whether a president could execute citizens or stage a coup without being prosecuted.

I highly doubt Melania wants to spend any part of her birthday with Trump Brian Tyler Cohen @briantylercohen Someone should ask him who he was married to when he paid the hush money at the heart of this trial to 2 women with whom he had affairs. Quote
Acyn @acyn Trump claims he would be with Melania for her birthday but he has to be in courthappy birthday
Really American 🇺🇸 @reallyamerican1 Trump: Happy birthday to Melania, who I'd like to be with, but I'm at this trial because I had sex with a porn star while she was pregnant with our son and I paid $130K to hide it so voters wouldn't find out.

She’s right, but the conservatives on the court are not likely to rule decisively or quickly. They’re considering immunity for presidents and will use that as another stall tactic to return he issue to lower courts and delay Trump’s trials until after the election. Liz Cheney liz_Cheney POTUS has no official role in the 1/6 count. When a candidate pressures/threatens the President of the Senate (Pence), pressures and lobbies state legislatures & members of Congress, and oversees a fraudulent elector scheme, his acts are private. And plotting to appoint an AG in a quid pro quo for help on 1/6 parallels CJ Roberts’ bribery hypo. Trump told SCOTUS in his 12/9/20 brief that he was filing in his “personal capacity as a candidate.” The Court need not resolve more difficult immunity Qs not at issue here. Rule quickly and decisively.

Oh? One person said he attempted to reach or touch her hand.. Donald Trump's former assistant, Rhona Graff, appeared on the stand briefly on Friday. But it was when she left that the courtroom gasped. USA Today's Aysha Bagchi also observed Trump whisper something to Graff, but she purportedly couldn't hear what it was Graff was there by subpoena for the prosecution, but her lawyers continue to be funded by the Trump Organization. She no longer works for the company, but she is also not working anywhere else, according to various reports. She and Trump appeared to be still on good terms based on her compliments for him from the stand. www.rawstory.com/trump-trial-assistant-interaction/
