No words!! U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon has indefinitely postponed the trial date for Donald Trump and his co-defendants in a case where he is accused of mishandling classified documents. The trial, initially set for May 20, 2024, was vacated to allow time for the resolution of numerous pre-trial motions and issues related to the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA). *** The court has scheduled multiple hearings over the coming months to manage these complexities, including sealed hearings and discussions on grand jury matters, the ruling said. The next status conference is set for July 22, 2024. It could be months before Cannon sets a new trial date.www.rawstory.com/judge-cannon-indefinite-delay/

Oops, the defense messed up.... When Trump's lawyers came back from a lunch break they demanded a mistrial, claiming Daniels went so far outside the scope of the case itself and the hush money details. There was a back and forth with the judge, who ultimately agreed that the witness came close to the line, but that it didn't merit a mistrial. Merchan then noted that Trump's lawyers were remarkably quiet during her testimony — which they found objectionable. New York Daily News reporter Molly Crane-Newman tweeted that Merchan hinted that he would have done more to stop Daniels had Trump's lawyers objected more. “I will also note that I was also surprised there were not more objections,” he told the court. “Defense has to take some responsibility for that. The court has done everything [it] can possibly do." Trump's lawyer, Susan Necheles, pushed back, but Merchan said, “We'll have to agree to disagree.” Speaking to CNN during the trial, former Federal Judge Nancy Gertner agreed with Merchan, saying that Trump's lawyers should have done much more. "They could object, move to sidebar, move to strike," she said. "...The judge was saying, where were you in all of this?"www.rawstory.com/trump-stormy-daniels-defense-team/And yes there were some objections to her detailed testomony from the defense, and the judge sustained most of them. Than they say down and did nothing!

not fitJo @jojofromjerz Maybe it’s me, maybe I’m old fashioned, but if a grown-ass man simply refuses to abide by a judge’s order to keep his mouth shut when it comes to attacking the witnesses in his criminal trial, he’s probably not fit to serve as President of the United States.
I mean, right?

Dump didn't use a condom with Stormy. He asked if she was tested with STD and her time at Wicked, mandatory condoms and testing every 30 days. Lisa Rubin gave a great response about her being 27 and him 60 yo and not being able to get an abortion because of the state if something happened. How gross! Dump was heard cursing about this and his slap of butt from curled up magazine from Judge Merchan in court.

Sure hope, for his sake, that TFG has his jet fueled May 17th for Barron's graduation! After weeks of complaining that his hush money trial would stop him attending his youngest son’s high school graduation, Donald Trump’s judge finally agreed to pause the trial for a day — and the ex-president swiftly organized a fundraiser.Trump is now expected to speak at the Minnesota Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan dinner on May 17 — the day Barron Trump graduates. It’s not known if he will be at the graduation ceremony in Florida prior to his Minnesota appearance. *** Eventually Merchan ruled that the court wouldn’t sit on that day, saying "I don't think May 17 is a problem." www.rawstory.com/barron-graduation/

This is NOT something we needed to hear... Allegations only but.....Could TFG have had a hand in this.. Judge Engoron under investigation over 'very troubling' talk with lawyer about Trump caseDavid McAfee May 8, 2024 11:49PM ET The New York judge who ordered Donald Trump to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in a civil fraud case is now under investigation, according to a report. Justice Arthur Engoron's decisions are under a microscope after a local attorney said he had a conversation with the jurist about issues related to the former president's recent legal matter. "A high-profile New York real estate lawyer, whose law license was once suspended, said he approached the judge presiding over Donald Trump’s civil fraud case to offer unsolicited advice about a law at issue in the case." the report states. "Attorney Adam Leitman Bailey made the claim during an interview with NBC New York, saying he spoke to Judge Arthur Engoron three weeks prior to the judge’s February decision to fine the former president $454 million for falsely inflating the value of his assets," the article continues. NBC further reported that the "judge, through a court spokesman, denied impropriety and said he was 'wholly uninfluenced' by Mr. Bailey.""New York’s judicial oversight body has now launched an investigation into the alleged interaction, according to sources familiar with the matter," according to the news report. The lawyer purportedly raised similar arguments as Trump did. "Bailey, who said he is no fan of Trump, was not involved in the civil case and is not connected to any of the four separate criminal cases against the former president. He said he knows the judge from having appeared before him as a litigant 'hundreds of times,'" the article from Wednesday says. "Bailey said he 'explained to him' that a fraud statute at issue in the case was not intended to be used to shut down a major company, especially in a case without clear victims. He said such a ruling would hurt New York's economy. Engoron had rejected a similar argument raised by the Trump team in court." Retired Presiding New York Appellate Justice Alan Scheinkman said he "has questions about Bailey's account." "Scheinkman, who now teaches legal ethics at Pace University Law School, said the interaction described by Bailey is 'very troubling,'" the article says. "'The fact that this lawyer made these statements — unprompted — during a recorded TV interview should raise serious concerns,' Scheinkman said." www.rawstory.com/trump-engoron-investigation-troubling/

Interesting thought, did TFG ask Pirro to say what he could not, because of gag order, on Hannity.. (There are many FOX clip with the piece in the link below) Did Trump Direct Jeanine Pirro to Violate the Gag Order for Him?Just asking questions ... Ron Filipkowski Updated:22 hours ago Original:23 hours ago (5/11/24 now) At the end of the testimony today, criminal defendant Donald Trump summoned Fox Host Jeanine Pirro over to speak with him privately as he was leaving the courtroom. That was reported by NYT's Maggie Haberman. Several hours later, Trump directed his followers on Truth Social to tune in to specifically watch Jeanine Pirro on Sean Hannity's show. He didn't promote any other show to watch tonight. He didn't promote any other guest on Hannity's show. He specifically directed people to watch only Pirro on Hannity tonight. Why? When Pirro went on Hannity two hours after Trump's post, she spent the entire interview making comments that would violate the gag order if Trump, one of his attorneys, or one of his official representatives said them. Here she viciously and disgustingly attacks Stormy Daniels exactly how Trump would do it almost word for word.meidasnews.com/news/trump-jeanine-pirro-gag-order

The Judge also pointed out that Trumps team concentrated on denying anything happened between Trump and Daniels in their opening statement, instead of denying the election interference angle. This meant the prosecution had no option other than to prove without doubt the incident happened by using Stormy as they did. Apparently they are also annoyed that Prosecution have decided they don't need to use Karen McDougal and tried to get the judge to admit that was improper. He pointed out that witness lists on both sides are a moveable feast.it seems beyond understanding that so called competent experienced lawyers ( these aren't Habba) would allow themselves to look so incompetent.
It's such a pity that New York doesn't allow cameras in so that the American voters can watch what Trump and his attorneys are trying to pull off. I'm currently watching the Karen Read trial and if that wasn't televised, I doubt the apparent complete incompetence of the Canton police would ever have been exposed without the trial being televised.

Ah, ha!! Alito pro crime is proving light on TFG and his followers.. During his 18 years on the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice Samuel Alito has been known as a tough-on-crime jurist. But NBC News legal reporter Lawrence Hurley reports that some legal experts believe that Alito is expressing more sympathy for criminal defendants if the person is former President Donald Trump or Trump supporters facing January 6-releated charges. *** Neil Siegel, a law professor at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, believes that Alito has some major contradictions where criminal justice is concerned. Siegel told NBC News, "It's really quite puzzling that the most pro-government, anti-criminal-defendant justice is the one who, when it comes to President Trump being a criminal defendant, is willing to slander the career attorneys at the U.S. Department of Justice."In a recent article, Yale University law professor Kate Stith wrote that Alito is showing an "aversion to reasoning that will leave the Supreme Court.... out on a limb, in a place that threatens to undo social understanding and order." Sherif Girgis, a former Alito clerk who now teaches at Notre Dame Law School, believes that Alito's approach to criminal justice "raises extremely unusual constitutional questions."Girgis describes Alito as "the most MAGA Republican justice," adding, "and that is a horrible, horrible thing to say about any jurist." www.rawstory.com/alito-leaves-scotus-out-on-a-limb-with-puzzling-judicial-approach-legal-experts/

J.D. Vance points out that Cohen cannot recall his son's age.. but he forgets his great golden leader's error!
Vance, in a series of tweets on X, assailed Cohen's credibility as a witness.
Cohen can’t remember how old his son is or how old he was when he started to work for Trump but I’m sure he remembers extremely small details from years ago!" Vance wrote.
But his comment came just days after Trump, in an interview Thursday with Telemundo51, misstated son Barron Trump’s age as 17. Barron Trump turned 18 in March.
In that interview, Trump told reporter Marilys Llanos he’s “able to put [aside]” the ongoing trial and focus on “a lot of things at one time.”
“I’m very ambidextrous, so to speak,” Trump said last week.

Interestingly Judge Merchan has ordered that cell phone are not to be used in the court room while in session!! Entitled much??!! The Ohio senator, a vice presidential contender, also appeared to defend Trump against claims he’s fallen asleep in the courtroom, The Arizona Republic reports. "I’m 39 years old and I’ve been here for 26 minutes and I’m about to fall asleep," Vance wrote. www.rawstory.com/jd-vance-days-after-trump-misstated-barrons-age-cohen-cant-remember-how-old-his-son-is/And son ERIC: Eric Trump was seen using his cell phone in a Manhattan courtroom after New York Justice Juan Merchan forbade using mobile devices.NBC News reported that Eric Trump was sitting behind his father when he wrote a message on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. "The court does not allow anyone in the courtroom to use their cellphones during proceedings," NBC News noted. www.rawstory.com/eric-trump-courtroom/

Judge Merchan could call for a hearing about TFG's buds making statements that would cause TFG problems if he said them. youtu.be/Zjwda1kc-dw?si=mvaGYgcyuUvoermrFor the past several days, Donald Trump's allies have made statements that, if Trump had made them, would have clearly violated the gag order placed on the former president by Judge Juan Merchan. Trump is prevented from attacking the witnesses, the judge's family, and the jury. In the last several days, however, Republican officials visiting Trump have done it all. As defense attorney Jeff Jacobovitz pointed out during an appearance on MSNBC, Judge Merchan could use these attacks by Trump allies as a basis to call a hearing to determine if Trump coordinated any of the attacks with him. "I saw basically the U.S. Congress walking into the courtroom to be there for Donald Trump — not the whole U.S. Congress, obviously," Jacobovitz told MSNBC. "But we have the gag order that was just approved by the appellate court, and if Trump is feeding any of these congressmen or senators information to talk about, that violates the gag order." He explained that Judge Juan Merchan would want to know the specifics "and may have a hearing on it, and it could violate other gag orders in other cases that are pending now. And, so, that's a serious thing, and the court of appeals decision is something that has to be taken seriously." www.rawstory.com/trump-gag-order-breach/

Isn’t this interesting….
From Mueller, She Wrote…
”THREAD: Here's what the Mueller Report has to say about Cohen: "After the FBI searched Cohen’s home and office in April 2018, the President publicly asserted that Cohen would not “flip,” contacted him directly to tell him to “stay strong,” and privately passed messages of support to him." 1/
Cohen also discussed pardons with the President’s personal counsel and believed that if he stayed on message he would be taken care of. But after Cohen began cooperating with the government in the summer of 2018, the President publicly criticized him, called him a “rat,” and suggested that his family members had committed crimes." 2/
This is from Volume II - the Obstruction of Justice Volume. The treatment of Cohen was part of a larger pattern of obstructive behavior by Donald Trump. Eventually, Bill Bar would write a memo declining to charge Trump for Obstruction even if he weren't the president. 3/
That memo was Trump's ticket out of facing charges for obstructing the Mueller probe. Had Garland charged Trump with obstruction, a judge would dismiss the charges 100 times out of 100 based on that memo. 4/
But today, this particular obstructive behavior toward Cohen, which was first investigated by Mueller, could lead to a conviction. We'll know in less than a month. END/
I wondered why nothing was ever done with Mueller’s laundry list of potential Obstruction of Justice charges in his report. Now we know.

Calling it "Craven," and "lawless," Bloomberg Opinion Senior Executive Editor Tim O'Brien remarked, "House Speaker Mike Johnson is outside the NY courthouse right now and essentially helping Trump sidestep the court’s gag order by acting as his proxy by attacking the integrity of the trial and judicial process. He’s even targeting Justice Merchan’s daughter."

TFG lawyer made a big mistake today.. Facts DO matter!! Donald Trump’s lawyer Todd Blanche made a big error in court during his cross-examination of Michael Cohen. While questioning Cohen, Blanche asked Cohen about selling ‘CONVICT 45’ and ‘Send Him to the Big House, Not the White House’ merchandise. Cohen quickly corrected Blanche and informed him that this was in fact merch sold by MeidasTouch and had nothing to do with him. So much for checking your facts! It’s clear we continue to get under Trump’s skin. Too bad! You can get all of the gear that’s driving Trump and his attorneys crazy on our website at www.store.meidastouch.com.
