No one is talking abou the last 4o years. We're talking about the fuller clip of the speech that aj2hall claims- based on her 9 second clip, "has zero compassion". Did you watch the fuller clip that I posted? I did and I completely agree with compeatoropeator. He like drones on about how horrible it is, it unique to them (BS) and finishes with we have to get over it. Great. But it still remains that posting a 9 second video clip that cuts Trump off mid sentence in order to push the lie that there is zero compassion in his statement and that he didn’t even manage thoughts and prayers is completely dishonest.

Anything he said before doesn’t change the fact that he said we have to get over it, we have to move on. Anyone who is capable of saying that a day after a school shooting with dead children lacks compassion. And it’s not like he misspoke or later apologized or retracted his statement. He let it stand.
You can deflect all you want but Trump is a terrible human being who lacks empathy and compassion. His actions from separating children at the border, notes reminding him to show empathy to the early days of covid reflect his lack of compassion. Just add his statement about the shooting to the mountain of evidence regarding his lack of empathy.

Not sure what definition of compassion you’re using but “It’s just horrible, surprising to see it here. But have to get over it, we have to move forward” is not compassionate. Including the full context does not make his statement compassionate. A day after a school shooting with dead children, no one wants to hear we have to get over it, regardless of the context. His statement was thoughtless, careless, cruel, callous, disrespectful, compassionless, heartless and insensitive. thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4393128-trump-iowa-rally-school-shooting-move-forward/amp/“I want to send our support and our deepest sympathies to the victims and families touched by the terrible school shooting yesterday in Perry, Iowa,” Trump said during a campaign rally in Sioux City. “It’s just horrible, so surprising to see it here,” he added. “But have to get over it, we have to move forward.” His somewhat harsh rhetoric comes after a gunman entered Perry High School on Thursday morning, the first day back from winter break, with a pump action shotgun and handgun. You used a 9 second video clip that cuts Trump off mid sentence in order to push your lie: "Trump's response to the shooting - get over it. Zero compassion. Even a&shats like Ted Cruz can manage thoughts and prayers." Trump's full statement: "Before going forward I want to send our support and our deepest sympathies to the victims and families touched by the terrible school shooting yesterday in Perry, Iowa. To the entire community, we love you, we pray for you and we ask God to heal and comfort, to comfort really the whole state, and the pain, the pain that you have. This is something very unique to your state. We're really with you as much as anybody can be. It's a very terrible thing that happened. It's just horrible to see that happening. Just horrible. So surprising to see it here. But we have to get over it and move forward. We have to move forward. To the relatives and to all of the people that are so devastated right now to a point they can't breathe, they can't live, we are with you all the way. We're with you and we love you and cherish you." Now you're going to not only double down on your indisputable lie, but triple and quadruple down by bringing in other issues that do nothing to erase your lie. Most people would agree, he should NOT have said "we have to get over it" in referring to the families in their unable to function, inconsolable, hyperventilating grief. Awkward to say the least. You could have even said those were the wrongest words you could possibly say, but at least he was attempting the best he is capable of (insertwhatever insult you need). And no one would have faulted you. But for you to use a 9 second video clip that cuts Trump off mid sentence in order to push your lie that there is zero compassion in his statement and that he didn’t even manage thoughts and prayers shines a megawatt spotlight on what a liar you are. A 9 second video clip that cuts Trump off mid sentence. You and many others here would never let that stand, coming from the other direction. That's already been demonstrated. You're a liar. You keep proving it, over and over again. Year after year. Last year you were caught pushing provable lies about me. You are beyond dishonest and untrustworthy. It IS indisputable anymore. The man has no compassion which means there is no compassion in his statement. He may have said the “right” words but he didn’t mean what he said. What it was another con of his to make people think he’s something he is differently not. IMO As a reminder of what kind of man dumpster don is….”In a one-on-one interview with CBS pollster Frank Luntz, Trump was asked about the naval service of then–U.S. senator from Arizona John McCain, in which Trump responded: He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay?” This is from a man who didn’t serve because of bone spurs. Bah! Tonight IMO, you stepped over that red line in the sand when you called another pea a liar because she pointed out something more than a few of us think is true and you didn’t like it. Whether the man is compassionate or not is subjective and up to the individual person to decide. In other words it’s a person’s opinion based on the words and actions of said person. And not just the words in one statement but over a period of time. If you think your lord and master trump walks on water that is your choice but you don’t get to call someone a liar who disagrees with your opinion. And that is what it is an opinion.

Interesting that in 2 pages of some of the most awful things Trump has done including the very real threat to our democracy, the only thing you can point at is the inaccuracy of one video that did not include his full statement.
If you’re concerned about inaccuracies, perhaps you would like to amend your false statement that President Biden is trying to remove Trump from the ballot. There is no evidence that President Biden had anything to do with the lawsuit in Colorado to have Trump removed. The lawsuit was filed by 6 voters and a non-profit, non partisan organization targeting government corruption.

Not surprisingly, in Trump’s response to the E Jean Carroll verdict, he falsely plays victim and blames partisan politics. He is incapable of taking responsibility for his own actions www.nytimes.com/live/2024/01/24/opinion/thepoint#trump-carroll-defamation-verdictMere moments after the verdict from a federal jury in New York, Trump’s Truth Social account declared the judgment “Absolutely ridiculous!” and cast the entire trial as a “Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party.” It was Trump’s response that was absolutely ridiculous. He was the one who chose to sexually abuse Carroll. He was the one who chose to attack Carroll in news conferences and on the campaign trail after he was found guilty. He was the one who chose to post repeatedly about the case on social media, fomenting his followers’ outrage. In this case, if Trump is the target of the “witch hunt” he claims to be, then he built his own pyre. His false accusation that the ruling was motivated by partisan politics demonstrates his deep concern about the four other cases looming against him in federal and state courts. But it also reveals, better than any crime the former president is accused of committing, the vacuousness of his character. A man who takes no responsibility for his actions will dodge and deflect when he is found wanting. A man who takes no responsibility for his actions will not hew to higher powers designed to hold him accountable.

Carroll is a class act, and her attorney is fantastic. I’m so happy that the $$ amount was sizable. I hope that the appeals of this amount do not take too long.

It was an outright, purposeful LIE. And you know it was, because YOU know a 9 second video clipped in the middle of the actual sentence you're objecting to is completely, brazenly, dishonest. Stop trying to make what you did acceptable. It isnt. You lied. AGAIN. And you continue to lie by calling your lie something else entirely in order to diminsh your dishonesty. Just as you’re apparently not concerned about falsely accusing President Biden of trying to have trump removed from the Colorado ballot, I’m not concerned about a shortened video clip. At least I acknowledged the video did not include his full statement. Have you recognized or acknowledged your falsehood? Perhaps before you go pointing fingers, you should look at some of your own posts. Glass houses and all that.

You don't get ant credit for being forced to do so. So, bragging about it is laughable. Per your own standards, your constant repeated dishonesty and untrustworthiness erases, eclipses, undermines and overshadows you being FORCED to stop lying. No perhaps about it. YOU should absolutely stop lying. And yet, you continue. You are beyond dishonest and untrustworthy. It IS now beyond indisputable anymore.

He's a stark difference in how President Biden interacts with service members, their families and gold star families vs Trump. President Biden shows true compassion and empathy. Last night, three U.S. service members were killed—and many wounded—during an unmanned aerial drone attack on our forces stationed in northeast Jordan near the Syria border. While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.
Jill and I join the families and friends of our fallen—and Americans across the country—in grieving the loss of these warriors in this despicable and wholly unjust attack. These service members embodied the very best of our nation: Unwavering in their bravery. Unflinching in their duty. Unbending in their commitment to our country— risking their own safety for the safety of their fellow Americans, and our allies and partners with whom we stand in the fight against terrorism. It is a fight we will not cease.
The three American service members we lost were patriots in the highest sense. And their ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten by our nation. Together, we will keep the sacred obligation we bear to their families. We will strive to be worthy of their honor and valor. We will carry on their commitment to fight terrorism. And have no doubt — we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing.
