Celebrations Delivered from Scrapbook & Cards Today

I was off work today, so I was able to do all the homework. But I'm missing 4 dies, the duck and a couple pieces from the house like the square window and door. Oh well, next time I know to double check if I got everything.

The coverplate and postage dies are so pretty. Not a fan of all the little dots that come out when die cutting though.

I'm excited about tomorrow's classes.

Well, Meghann is teaching now, and she's going along at a good clip. She's NOT stopping to read all the messages, which is great. Between cards she'll answer some questions. 

I'm just crabby. I messed up the second card of Meghann's and had to put it aside. LOL.

marie , I wish they had provided directions for Jennifer McGuire's cards. I really like the one with the candles. I guess I have to watch it again and write down the dimensions this time so I can make it.

I totally agree about needing moderators for the class chats. Mindy just talked way too much, we could have easily done all 3 of her cards if she didn't answer so many questions that weren't relevant to the class. So many people have decided it's a party chat rather than a class chat. Maybe if there was a way to chat more between classes or something, then people would get their fill - maybe it's time to bring back the half hour on Facebook after the class is over. It's turned into a social event for a lot of people, especially with the emphasis on "if you don't do any of the classes, that's great!". Obviously life gets busy and I'm not always able (or choose not to) to do the class live, too, but there definitely seems to be more encouragement to first just watch the live classes now instead of actually doing them. Some of the questions are just so out of place and a mod is needed to control the crowd at this point, I think.

I did all of Cathy's and Mindy's cards and I'm so pleased with them. They're definitely ones that I'll make over and over again as I use them up. Today I'll do Meghann and Jennifer's classes. It makes for a fun but more relaxed weekend this way. 

All the random questions during the class drive me nuts. I'm here for the class, please save your non-related class questions for another time. I get grumpy too. It's completely understandable. The joy for me is in doing it live with everyone if I can.

Agreed. I also agree with pinklady assessment that they should have someone in there answering questions as they come up. However, a lot depends on the teacher. If the teacher says "I'll answer questions between cards" or something like that, others can step in and answer them if they feel so. Meghann did perfect - she kept teaching and only occasionally looked at the chat. 

Shakti, I'm going to keep everything together in the pouch we got with the kit. My reasoning is, that I can remember what event did which cards. Rarely do I go looking for another stamp/stencil/die to mix and match with something else.

My TV died on me yesterday, so I've got to go get a new one and get it set up before 6:30 tonight!
