Everyone's cards are lovely! I followed the instructions, so my cards aren't unique and the same as the instructors. I was able to make 12 cards.
I really enjoy the one day events, feels less overwhelming and I was able to finish all the cards yesterday. I already signed up for the Christmas in July one day event. Anybody else sign up for July too?
Lol, yes, I agree so many comments during the lives were so distracting. I think some people don't read the multiple emails SCT sends. The instructors have a lot of patience!
Mindy never finishes her classes, lol. I like the way she teaches though. I wish Meghann had more time to show her beautiful bonus cards. Cathy Z. always teaches a fun class. Overall, I thought it was a great event!

Last card for today - Mindy's third card. Like craftmepink says, yes, the instructors have a LOT of patience! LOL No, I did not sign up for the July classes. While I liked the designs on the graphic, I think if I do the September event that will be enough for me from SCT.

I did end up changing the background on my baby card. Still not sure I love it (and still wish I'd done it correctly from the start with the powder blue quilted panel) and my birthday card from Meghann's class: Birthday card (this time with the sequins added) and new home card: For the record, I didn't think the sequins were all that. I made the engagement card a sympathy card. A friend was looking for one this morning. I thought I was going to give her that one, but I like it too much, so I made a simpler spare: I do regularly look for images or sentiments to mix and match. I try not to keep kits together, but I do try to keep things that truly work only (or at least vastly better) with one another, things that truly "match", together. That's why it makes sense to me to keep the dies that cut the stamps with the stamps, but the other words dies separately. I think. Eh, right now they're in four sleeves. I can sleep on it for now.

Several of you have mentioned signing up for the Christmas in July event. Is the sign up only open to those who did this event so far? I've looked all over their website and can't find any references to it. I didn't sign up for this one, but I'd really like to do the July one.

I think it's open to alumni only for a few days, maybe a week, and then it opens to the general public. Catherine gave the timeline in her wrap-up but I got distracted and missed the details.

Finally got the directions for Jennifer's candle card! It was surprisingly easy. I need to pick better colors next time!

I decided to give Carissa Wiley another chance to get her ADD under control and signed up for Christmas in July.

I decided to give Carissa Wiley another chance to get her ADD under control and signed up for Christmas in July. I remembered she is one I’ve watched and didn’t care for her presentation style. It’s interesting to me that for many this is their job, but I don’t see them growing or improving their presentation skills. So many ummms, mouth noises, hand flutters. I watch some videos and think, our 4-H kids could teach them a lot.

I'm not thrilled with her presentation style, but the measurement errors in the homework that she realizes live during class make me nuts.

I'm not thrilled with her presentation style, but the measurement errors in the homework that she realizes live during class make me nuts. I forgot about that! Yeah, she can be a lot, can't she? I signed up for July, too. I'm hoping that for the first time in 20 years I'll actually get my Christmas cards done early and not the first week or second week in December. I'm also hoping to limit my Christmas card product spending to the $70 for the event and not the several hundreds I usually spend because I just want everything and can't make up my mind on what to make, so I have to try everything. Pray for me, lol.

I don't do Christmas or Christmas cards so I am a little sad that that is the next event. The most recent Celebrations Delivered was my first one and I really enjoyed it (and the price point) even though I did not make any of the cards yet. I did watch it live though.

The cards you all made are really cute. Even though I have no need for baby or wedding cards, want the rings and onesie dies. The sneak for the July class looks nice- I like the door and the tree.

I signed up for July. I've been taking a break from the SCT events because I have too much stuff already, but I'm really trying to get my Christmas cards done early this year. It's nice to learn some new techniques.

The Christmas in July FB group is open…time to start a thread for the event here?
