I can't believe she's actually on Fox, I guess it would be boring if they all agreed with each other. However, if she keeps talking like this, I don't think she's going to last very long. Credit to her for having the courage to push back against false Republican narratives.. I know it's a foreign concept to you, but that's the very reason she's there, so that they have diverse opinions. She rotates with a few others, mostly Harold Ford Jr. So, unlike here, she doesn't have to worry about an "agree with everyone or else" mentality.

This is more about the conflict in Gaza but it seems appropriate here, too You'd have to pretend that I never said: The ones committing crimes... "They aren't committing crimes because they're migrants. They're committing crimes because they're criminals." and "Immigration is a good thing." and "Being for legal immigration does not make you a racist." and "Immigration has always been a good thing for our country." ...in order to push your false narrative about me.

The 9/11 terrorists had US-issued visas. Close to 3,000 people were killed. One of the most notorious killers and rapists in the US was Ted Bundy, who was born in Vermont. Brooklyn-born Jeffrey Epstein raped and sexually trafficked over a hundred underaged girls. Anyone here can come up with many examples to prove that neither the possession of a US visa or a US birth certificate, or the absence of such, is a predictor of moral behavior or criminal propensity. Heinous crimes are committed by all sorts of people regardless of their residency status. Immigration challenges are difficult enough without muddying the issues by equating morality to the presence or absence of a piece of paper.
I personally despise the nativist attitude. My generation is either dead or retired. That’s tens of millions of people no longer in the workforce. Later generations did not or are not having as many children as before. Where will we get labor from to sustain and grow the economy? From my vantage point, if it weren’t for the undocumented in my state, our state economy would greatly suffer. These are people who keep so many industries going that if we were to deport them all, it’d be a self-inflicted wound. My governor and senators have been urging Biden to give the state permission to issue work permits to asylum seekers and the undocumented because we’re experiencing severe labor shortages.
What people want are realistic, humane and feasible immigration reforms. Using immigration as a political football and a means to portray the undocumented as one homogeneous group of criminals helps no one, least of all the “natives.”

Ok, Gia. You know, it’s really dishonest to pretend to be someone you’re not. You’re not fooling anyone. If you don’t know who Gia is, why would calling you that be a smear? Regardless, I’m not the one who pulled up a handful of violent crimes committed by immigrants (many fewer per capita than with the native born population, BTW) to try to dehumanize an entire group of people and support your “argument.” How is “using” my parents’ deaths any different than you “using” those deaths? It’s not. But very predictably, you don’t like being shown up and have now dissolved into a sad pile of capslock froth. Enjoy the rest of your day. Because they're YOUR PARENTS.Because their death has nothing to do with "Chinese crossing at the border" or "Unlawful Migration". Because you tried to tie their death to ME. Because my examples were on the topic of illegal migration. Because I didn't attempt to make you responsible is some convoluted way, like you did with me and your parents' death. Not only are you using your parents' death to "win" a debate, that is already sickening, but you are also trying to connect me to your parents' death. You are deplorably demented. You are truly messed up. Really. Get some help. That is beyond sick. No. I’m showing you how inaccurate it is to use a rare incident to dehumanize an entire group. Clearly you’re able to see that when it applies to you because you get all kinds of worked up. Why can’t you see it when it applies to a brown-skinned immigrant? Further, a bipartisan Senate bill was sent to the House to provide more funding to the border so asylum claims can be investigated and processed more quickly. It would also have allowed BP to stop allowing asylum claims when the resources were overwhelmed. It would have helped with your concerns about people not being properly vetted. Why did your party vote it down? It seems it’s only a crisis when they’re asking for your vote and not when it’s time to fix it. The rhetoric from Republican candidates and elected officials right now is that there is an invasion (their word) of criminals and mentally ill people coming over the border and no one is stopping them. Both things are untrue. But it’s disingenuous for you to say that you only want people vetted better when the people and sources you cite are claiming something else entirely.

And just to repeat, a lot of these problems with asylum could be solved if Republicans signed the border bill they insisted on, negotiated and then refuse to sign on Trump's orders.

Gia, why do you repeat the same phrases, the same insults and "reasoning", over and over again? We read it and understood it the first time. You repeating it doesn’t mean anyone is suddenly going to change their mind and join you in your craziness. Honestly, you appear to get more and more delusional as time goes on. And I don’t mean in your political views (which, granted, are pretty out there), but your bizarre communication style which ties itself up in knots. I think a darkened room might help.

It allows 5000 illegal crossings a day BEFORE they'll do their job of securing the border. That changes nothing. Remember the Inflation Reduction Act, that Biden finally had to admit, that it wasn’t that at all? We're right back there again with that kind of bullshit You are being gaslit.

I’m a bully?! 😄 That is hysterical. I’ve never been called a bully in my life before. Oh you’ve made my day. 😂 What’s your point with the statement “a darkened room might help?” It's where people who constantly abuse the bold button need to go for a little lie down.

Still lying or unable to read facts correctly. Maybe intentionally obtuse. People crossing are requesting asylum are not "illegal" but you know that. This isn't a border security bill any more than the "Inflation Reduction Act" was an inflation reduction bill. Which Biden has since admitted it wasn't. And here he is again doing the same dishonest shit. Wanting a better job is not asylum. Do you have some kind of esp to hear their answers to the questions asked in their hearing? I know you think they want to freeload but they do want jobs AFTER saving their and their childrens lives from whatever situation they come from.

You don't need ESP to watch TV.

a sad pile of capslock froth. @merge That's an awesome phrase! If I could vote for him, I would. I really like his perspective on immigration. Same. Bought one of the handwritten "Ruth shirts." Using immigration as a political football and a means to portray the undocumented as one homogeneous group of criminals helps no one, least of all the “natives.” Yet wanna' be dictators continue the time-honored tradition of using it, and some portion of the ignorant masses still continues to fall for it. They might as well come out and say, "They're coming to get yours and to replace you." Blech.

It must be so hard for you to have to see emphasis on words, similar to how someone might speak. You poor thing, you must be in need of a darkened room.🙄

What’s your point with the statement “a darkened room might help?” The increasing episodes of repetition, the excessive and growing use of the caps lock, and the tortuous arguments all suggest to me that Gia is getting more and more agitated. Hmmm, well that could apply to a lot of folks that post on the political posts.
