I am so shocked! Pinkfresh is my favorite scrapbook company. This news is so sad. I hope it is truly just a pause. From an email they sent this morning:
“After much thought and reflection, we have made the decision to pause the scrapbooking side of our business for now. We are going to take this time to refresh, rethink and research what we want our scrapbooking collections to look like going forward. The hope is to introduce a fresh and new take on scrapbooking products in the near future, making a change to our design aesthetic and embellishment offerings. We will not be re-ordering any papers or embellishments, but will continue to promote & share inspiration for the current collections we offer. Our company started on the scrapbooking side of this business, so taking this pause hasn't been an easy decision to make. But our biggest hope is that we will bring it back with a refreshed outlook on product options and design!”

Better get one of their Grab Boxes while they're available! PinkFresh $39 Grab Box
I'm glad they're still doing cards.

I have been using their holiday collections for past 3 years and it's really hard to believe that they will not have holiday collection now. I am still in disbelief.

Wow - I hope this truly is just a pause! I always felt like their papers stood out as something different amongst heavily themed collections from Echo Park, Photo Play, etc...

I just saw the email, what a bummer! Very sad to see this and I hope it’s temporary. I’m wondering if I should buy a warehouse box? I don’t really want holiday lines and I’m thinking the spring box will include it.

With so much awful in our world right now I hesitate to use the word devastated, but that’s what I am. 😭
Pinkfresh is the only 12x12 paper I’ve purchased in the past 2 years.

I’m so surprised to see this. Maybe if they get enough customer feedback they’ll see how loyal people are.

I thought they were pretty popular I think their aesthetic fits the demographic HERE more than the typical mass market scrapper? While I don't think scrapbooking will ever completely disappear, I do think that the overlap between our demographic and those who are doing stash math and/or freezes isn't insignificant and it likely has a bigger impact on a company like Pinkfresh than on say...Echo Park which appeals more to the mass market.

I'm sorry to read this. I know the Peas love Pinkfresh's scrapbookimg stuff. I'm a card maker and I know that side of the business is booming.

Oh no! More bad news for us. I have an urge to start stockpiling PF supplies. I'd like to buy the box but there are probably supplies in it that wouldn't be useful to me. I wish I knew more about which collections are in it. I didn't buy more October Afternoon when I had the chance and I regret it. Same with Felicity Jane.

I am surprised to hear this and a bit sad. I loved Pinkfresh the first years with the fun geometrics and fresh take on paper designs, pattern, and color. But I have dramatically slowed down on purchasing their lines over the past 2+ years.
Everything was beginning to be too flowery, pastel, and samey. I feel they lost their niche and edge. I hope they revisit their original vision and come back with something fresh, unique, timeless, but current, and wow us once again.
In an American Crafts world, they will be sorely missed.

Heartfelt Creations, Close to My Heart, Pebbles in My Pocket, and now Pinkfresh taking a pause? Not to be pessimistic, but pauses often become more than just a pause.
Coming so close to each other makes it feel like a very slippery slope that could turn into an avalanche.
I could scrapbook forever with my stash, but it still makes me sad. And concerned.
Edited to add: correction, Heartfelt Creations has just announced that in April, instead of closing completely, they are making their past designs available as digital files for printing and cutting!

It sucks another scrapbooking line is stopping and that the scrapbooking industry as a whole has slowed way down over the last decade. Scrapbooking with my girlfriends holds such great memories.
I do have to say I'm a bit surprised by the responses in this thread. I swear I just read a thread where most everyone agreed that PFS scrapbooking line peaked a couple years ago and nobody is buying it any longer. So when I read their email this morning, I just thought wow, guess the peas buying power (or lack of) really made a difference in their bottom line.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see an overall downsizing in the industry for goods that are imported from overseas. Shipping prices are crazy high right now in part because of the Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
I think PF printed their paper in the US, but embellishments came from China. For such small profits per piece, it likely doesn't make fiscal sense to import right now.

I am hoping this will just be a "pause" and they will come back stronger, sometimes in order to make progress you have to downsize and focus on priorities.
After spending hours cleaning my scrapbook room yesterday I can tell you that I definitely need to take time pause and to use the massive amounts of paper and embellishments I have accumulated!

Welp. I put the grab box in my cart a few days ago but eventually talked myself out of it. Guess who just bought not only the grab box but the two new spring collections as well? lol oops! It was a moment of panic I'm sure but I'm so bummed to see another one of my favorites potentially bite the dust. Hopefully they find a way to make it pencil to keep producing lines in the future!

Not the news I needed to hear today. I just discovered I love Pink Fresh chipboard flair, so of course they're probably not going to make it anymore...
