** Has anyone mentioned the OBVIOUS fact that ordinary citizens have EVERY RIGHT to express their political views, on signs or any other way they choose. But as members of the Supreme Court, who are meant to be apolitical and judge cases on their merits, even a whiff of partisanship leads to...well...this kind of response.
What the neighbors did is entirely irrelevant. THEY AREN'T ON THE SUPREME COURT. Alito's response shows that he is corrupted by his own partisanship...or rather their shared TRUMPian RW insanity.
Whatever were they thinking when they made the Supreme Court lifetime appointments? So much of America seems designed to fail, dramatically.

I can understand his response because it's his teammate/co-worker. It'd be like you finding out your co-worker is a homophobic, misogynist POS and then going in and yelling at them at your work. However, I am still disappointed that this is the state of affairs in the sporting world. We value sports over most everything else and allow people who are good at playing with a ball free reign to say and do what they want. I also hope that the POTUS + VP give him the stink eye when the Chiefs visit the White House - which, last I heard, was May 31. |
