Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone appeared with DeNiro yesterday... Jan 6 they protected everyone Republicans and Democrats!! x.com/therecount/status/1795475321212309924Former Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone warned Americans about the dangers of a second Donald Trump presidency during a press event outside of the courthouse in Manhattan where the former president is currently on trial for alleged illegal efforts to cover up hush-money payments. Although actor Robert DeNiro took a starring role during the event, Fanone made his own case for why putting Trump back in the White House would lead to a dark future for the United States. www.rawstory.com/michael-fanone-2668392112/*** Thanks maga.. you are all cowards!!! Michael Fanone's "mortified" mother was wearing a nightgown when she opened the front door of her Virginia home on Tuesday only to find a SWAT team standing before her, the furious former cop told NBC News. *** "How dangerous is it to send law enforcement to an address in which you essentially are describing an active shooter, in which the only person present is a 78-year-old f---ing woman?" Fanone's report was confirmed by the Fairfax County Police Department, who told NBC a threat assessment management team assisted the SWAT team. www.rawstory.com/trump-2668405846/

The whining dumpster don is yapping about how the prosecutor was āallowedā to let his closing arguments last 5 hours yesterday and he has no rights against the judgeās order. I guess one had to be there because this makes no sense. Ron Filipkowskiā¦. āHe could have testified under oath. Gag order doesnāt apply to the witness stand. But he was too scared. But he can cry to his cultists.ā x.com/ronfilipkowski/status/1795842443319074919?s=61&t=j45uMgNk1i8O0YllKF58nw

Speaking of liars... We have another winner... You bet Justice Alito!! Yes, yes... He did! And there is police report evidence.. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's defense for why an upside down American flag, associated with the January 6, 2021 insurrection and the "Stop the Steal" conspiracy, was flying outside his Virginia home quickly fell apart barely days after he shared it with Fox News, but that story has now further disintegrated after The New York Times published a report that includes interviews with neighbors and a review of text messages. Critics responding to The Times' report are now calling the 74-year old jurist's credibility into question over the divergent details. *** Noting there are "some differences" between the Alitos' story and the Badens's, The Times importantly reports, "the justice told Fox News that his wife hoisted the flag in response to Ms. Badenās vulgar insult. A text message and the police call ā corroborated by Fairfax County authorities ā indicate, however, that the name-calling took place on Feb. 15, weeks after the inverted flag was taken down."www.rawstory.com/liar-critics-question-alitos-integrity-after-his-insurrection-flag-story-disintegrate/

Alito yet again blames his wife!! U.S. Supreme Court justice Samuel Alito notified Sens. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) that he would not recuse himself from deciding Donald Trump's immunity case. *** Alito has claimed his wife flew an upside-down American flag in the days between the Jan. 6 insurrection and Inauguration Day in response to a dispute with a neighbor, although neighbors dispute his account, and he blames her for an "Appeal to Heaven" flag that originated during the Revolutionary War era but has become associated with Christian nationalism in recent years. I was not familiar with the 'Appeal to Heaven' flag when my wife flew it," Alito wrote. "She may have mentioned that it dates back to the American Revolution, and I assumed she was flying it to express a religious and patriotic message. *** "A reasonable person who is not motivated by political or ideological considerations or a desire to affect the outcome of Supreme Court cases would conclude that this event does not meet the applicable standard for recusal," Alito wrote. "I am therefore duty-bound to reject your recusal request." www.rawstory.com/samuel-alito-maga-2668407672/

I am unable to open the WSJ article, but this is really questionable.. Tech billionaire Elon Musk is considering an alliance with former President Donald Trump ā and specifically, an idea to help him try to police the election, according to a new report. The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday a potential advisory role for Musk on Trump's team "hasnāt been fully hammered out and might not happen, people familiar with the talks said, but the two men discussed ways to give Musk formal input and influence over policies related to border security and the economy, both issues on which Musk has grown more vocal." Musk, along with the billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, has also briefed Trump on a plan they have developed to invest in a data-driven project to prevent voter fraud, according to some of the people," said the report. "Peltz and Musk also told Trump of an influence campaign in elite circles that is already under way, in which Musk and his political allies host gatherings of powerful business leaders across the country to try to convince them not to support President Bidenās re-election campaign." It is unclear exactly what form this "data-driven" attempt to police the vote would take. However, it is part of a long-term shift in Musk's politics; in the past he described himself as a moderate and donated roughly evenly to both parties, but in recent years has shifted hard right, at some points engaging with white supremacists on the social media platform he renamed from Twitter to X. He has also announced his intent to back the Republican Party this election cycle. www.rawstory.com/elon-musk-trump/

SCOTUS... Another issue, conflict... Amy Coney Barrett has a DH who happens to be a lawyer.. he is a partner ... He is the lawyer representing FOX in a defamation suit. Not a problem until he got the case switched to federal court... (Remember how hard Meadows was trying to get his Georgia switched to federal court?!!). There in lays the problem. x.com/ElieNYC/status/1795834843219288243My former colleague Elie Mystal is 100% on the money with this one. Jesse Barrett is a lawyer, this is what lawyers doā¦ itās a non-issue. .......Unless, of course, the case somehow winds up before the Supreme Court and Coney Barrett doesnāt recuse herself. Which, again, we have no way of knowing as long as Coney Barrett refuses to disclose the list of her husbandās clients. So this ābad pressā is only happening because Coney Barrett remains tight lipped about her husbandās work. Maybe Coney Barrett needs to look into the Streisand effect(see 2nd post down). abovethelaw.com/2024/05/amy-coney-barretts-husband-works-on-behalf-of-fox-news-and-thats-actually-not-a-big-deal/

Followup the Streisand effect: Wikipedia... The Streisand effect is an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where the effort instead increases public awareness of the information. The effect is named for American singer and actress Barbra Streisand, whose attorney's attempt in 2003 to suppress the publication of a photograph showing her clifftop residence in Malibu, taken to document coastal erosion in California, inadvertently drew far greater attention to the previously obscure photograph.[1] The effect exemplifies psychological reactance: where the desire to hide information instead makes its propagation more likely.. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streisand_effect

Iām not a single issue voter, but SCOTUS is right up there with my biggest concerns. We need to keep the Senate and win the House. Schumer is a nice guy, but we need someone tougher. I think that Klobuchar would be a good leader, because the woman is no pushover. We need to end tenure for the SC and pass an ethics code for them with teeth. Anyhow, with a tougher leader and a majority, Dems could set some boundaries for the SC. Alitoās wife-who seems excitable-what was that spitting incident about? š³-has made him look bad. Maybe I should say that she has made him look worse. The fact that neither of the Alitos seem to understand how bad this looked is telling. Anyhow, personally I would like an expanded SC; itās been done before-but in the absence of that, I would be happy with ending tenure and passing an ethics code. The SC has repeatedly shown that it will not police itself. But we need a leader who is more like Pelosi than Schumer to do it.

The Supreme Court *should* be expanded to 13 to be in line with the lower circuit courts. Now would be a really good time to change that, but it wonāt happen with Republicans controlling the House. We really do need a massive, MASSIVE blue tidal wave in November. It really frightens me just how insane everything has become in such a relatively short period of time.

Health care is a major immediate target with GOP wins.. Health care lobbyists and conservative groups are stepping up preparations for what a second Trump presidency could mean for drug prices, health insurance subsidies and changes to health care entitlements. Why it matters: A Trump win would once again shock the system, bringing unpredictability and the possibility of cuts to federal health programs. Inside the room: Several GOP lobbyists told Axios they've received intensifying requests from health care clients in recent weeks to game out the beginning of a new Trump term and build relationships with Trump world. Much of the early focus is on how Republicans, should they also win the House and Senate, could quickly use the fast-track budget procedure known as reconciliation to push through an extension of the 2017 Trump tax cuts with simple majorities in both chambers. Like past reconciliation bills, that could serve as a vehicle for partisan health care policies. GOP sources say there is more planning in Republican circles than there was in 2016, when the transition was more chaotic and the lack of an agreed-upon replacement plan helped doom the Affordable Care Act repeal effort in Trump's first year. Insiders say they're generally skeptical that Republicans would pursue a major ACA overhaul or full repeal of new Medicare drug pricing negotiations, but conservative-preferred changes to those programs are possible. www.axios.com/2024/05/30/trump-term-2025-gop-health-programs

In an ideal Congress, I completely agree. We need a sizable majority in Congress with some backbone. This current SC has too many wanna-be legislators who (I suspect) are way too friendly with the Federalist Society. If Republicans win in November I fully expect more restrictions on birth control and attacks on gay marriage. Look for a challenge to the Obergefell decision. They are bound and determined to force their beliefs down everyone elseās throats.
