I don't really do TikTok, just when someone links a post but a friend linked an Instagram post from popapologists and I fell down the rabbit hole. I just listened to their podcast episode and they started off by saying that they'd just read a credible news story where one of their social media posts was the only "source" and it made them realize that you can't trust the media at all.  |

It's been pretty quiet on that front here. TikTok is where the real insanity lies! Between kategate and the bald eagles whose three eggs didn't hatch, the drama has been up and down on TikTok. Jackie and Shadow are local to me. Last year the eggs didn't hatch either. Jackie laid one with no hatching and a second with no hatching. It seems when we have a solid winter with a lot of cold and snow, the eggs don't do well. When we have warmer winter with less snow, the eggs do great. I am not expert of course. Eta I believe there have been 13 eggs and 5 have hatched. And 2 have lived into adult hood. |

Yeah there’s some weird shit going on with the royal family. I don’t believe this is just Kate recovering from an alleged abdominal surgery. I still laugh at the pea who posted she’s back and looks good in a totally fake photo 🤣😂🤣😂

The second grade class that I work with has been watching the eagle cam. They watched Jackie sit on the eggs for 68 hours? through the snowstorm and cheered her on. They were excited to see the eggs hatch and disappointed when they didn't. I think one or two kids are still holding out hope that they will hatch. We watched videos of an eaglet from a previous year, that cheered them up a little. |

I feel like Americans are much more invested in this than we should be. Ultimately does it really matter if she is out of the limelight for a few months? Now if she doesn't show up after Easter, then I can see people questioning it.
I just hope she is well and recovering from whatever is ailing her.

Of course it took The Scum newspaper to decide to publish it - taken on the sly by a "member of the public" - although the rest of the media held back, initially, at least here. As for the suggestions it's not the Princess of Wales, I am AMAZED no one has been yelling that the picture is clearly manipulated. It has a watermark across it. shrug. eye roll. etc. etc. etc.. |

I dont think it is permanent, but this would need significant time to heal and she would want to stay out of the public because emotionally, that is a lot to deal with. When I first got on TikTok, for some reason, young ladies who live with the pouch were prominent on my FYP. It was fascinating to me, how they were like its NOT a big deal, and discussed very openly about living with a bag. I was amazed, reminded me of how young girls talk about their periods here like its no big deal, when I was a kid, you had to be descrete and NEVER would discuss your cycle or periods! So I do think if Kate has a pouch, even if temporary, she would do WONDERS to take the stigma away from that life, and normalize it. Much like when Charles annouced he had prostrate cancer, it caused men to make appointments. But I also understand that she may not be ready to be the face of an ileostomy... |

I ultimately think that nothing exciting is going on beyond demonstrating how palace PR is failing to keep up with modern times.
But I do thoroughly enjoy all the conspiracy theories - my favorite is that she’s been kidnapped by Russia.

Like she was taking an intensive Photoshop class, growing out bangs, that she and King Charles have had a Freaky Friday moment or that she is Banksy. I obviously don't think anything weird is going on, they have proven that the Palace posts badly photoshopped photos prior to the one posted on their Mother's Day. And the conspiracy theories posted on the other thread about it being an old photo is such BS and was clearly and soundly debunked. Some people just like to stir the pot. |

Better get every single photo that any celebrity has ever posted of themselves and bin them, because based on your theory they are all now "totally fake" And while we're at it, I'd guess most of the scrapbooking that everyone here has done over the years are all worthless and totally fake too? Right? they must be because most people have adjusted lighting used filters, removed red eye, enhanced hair or eye color, erased a pimple, or cropped out parts they didn't like. Toss them all out, all fake fake fake! I once erased an ashtray out of a photo of a group of us around the table...so that's a fake photo now? we were never there together, there was never a party? All because one part of a photo was manipulated? Really you just prove how incapable you are of applying logic (or any higher thought processes for that matter) every single time you post. |
